(2/17/2012) Cavaliers guard Christian Eyenga has started to see more of the floor in recent games, though he wasn’t much of a factor on Friday, as he scored no points in 12 minutes against the Heat. The second-year guard missed all four of his shot attempts in the game, though he did add three rebounds, an assist and a steal as the Cavaliers lost 111-87 to Miami.

Eyenga in the doghouse for lack of defense

(4/8/2011) Cleveland rookie Christian Eyenga has seen a lot in his first year, but it's not going to end on a high note. He received his second DNP-CD (did not play - coach's decision) in Friday's game against the Bulls.

Eyenga wrapping up rookie season

(4/7/2011) Cleveland rookie Christian Eyenga has had an up and down year for the Cavaliers this season. Coach Byron Scott told the Akron Beacon Journal that his assistant coaches have told Eyenga things in practice that he can't translate into games. Veteran Antawn Jamison told the rookie he's been stepping to the side when he shoots, and Eyenga listened. ''If Antawn tells me the same thing then everybody sees it,'' Eyenga said. Scott said his young player has fallen in love with his jump shot, something the coach wants him to work on. ''If you really feel in your heart that you're a great shooter, most of the time you're going to take shots you feel you can make,'' Scott said. ''Part of Christian's growth right now is understanding when is a good shot and when is a bad shot. A lot of that comes with experience.''

Eyenga could end up starting

(3/22/2011) The Cleveland Plain-Dealer reports Monday that Cavaliers coach Byron Scott admitted he was thinking about changes to the starting lineup. He didn't specify, but three possibilities include Baron Davis for Ramon Sessions, if Davis recovers sufficiently from the back spasms that have been bothering him for a week, Daniel Gibson for Anthony Parker and Christian Eyenga for Alonzo Gee.

Eyenga picks it up a bit

(3/21/2011) Cleveland guard Christian Eyenga hasn't been available all season, but March has opened up as his worst campaign thus far. He's averaging less than seven points per game in the month, but he nearly doubled that mark Monday against the Magic. Eyenga shot 5 of 9 off of the bench on the way to 12 points. He added a rebound and a steal as well, while logging 22 minutes of playing time.

Eyenga eyes second half

Over his last 10 games he's averaging 9.6 points, 3.2 boards, 1.4 assists, 1.1 blocks and 1.7 steals per outing. Fantasy owners of Eyenga have to be pleased with his production across the board. While the rookie isn't a big contributor, his been very valuable for the Cavs. He's started 15 of the 20 games he's played in this year and has been getting more court time recently. He's logging 27.5 minutes over his last 10 outings.
