Hansbrough finished with nine points in the 107-90 win on 3 of 5 shooting from the field. He went 3 of 4 from the free-throw line and also added five rebounds and two steals to his stat line, while logging 17 minutes.
Analysis: Hansbrough turned in some impressive stat lines during his eight starts this season, but he struggled to consistently get his numbers off the bench. Unfortunately for Fantasy owners, it doesn't appear the Pacers have plans to move him into the starting lineup anytime soon, which will continue to limit his value. As long as Hansbrough is used in a reserve role, he will only hold value in deeper formats.
News: The Pacers official team website reports that forward Tyler Hansbrough sustained a mild ankle sprain in practice Friday. He is expected to play in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference playoffs against the Hawks.
Analysis: Fantasy owners should keep an eye on Hansbrough's status heading into Game 1 against the Hawks, and hopefully he will be OK. When healthy and active, Hansbrough is a low-end Fantasy option in any playoff leagues.
News: Pacers forward Tyler Hansbrough was once again not much of a factor during Saturday's contest against the Wizards. Hansbrough finished with just four points in the 104-85 defeat on 1 of 4 shooting from the field. He also added six rebounds and two assists to his stat line, while logging 16 minutes off the bench.
Analysis: Hansbrough had a nice little run while filling in for David West, but he has since been moved back to the bench. The 27-year-old has averaged 15.4 points and 10.3 rebounds over his seven starts but only 6.1 points and 4.2 rebounds over his 70 games coming off the bench. As long as Hansbrough is used in a reserve role, he really isn't worth owning in most formats.
News: Pacers forward Tyler Hansbrough notched his third straight double-double of the season during Friday's contest against the Bucks. Hansbrough, who also made his third straight start in place of the injured David West, finished with 22 points and 12 rebounds in the win. He went 8 of 14 from the field, while logging 27 minutes of game action.
Analysis: Hansbrough continues to see starts in place of West and he is thriving as a starter. In fact, Hansbrough has started four games this season and is averaging 18.3 points and 11.8 rebounds over that span. West is expected to be sidelined until at least Monday, so owners in daily formats should continue to plug Hansbrough in while he is seeing starts. If West's absence extends to Fantasy Week 22(March 25-31), Hansbrough would be worth using as a stopgap option in the upcoming scoring period.
News: Pacers forward Tyler Hansbrough was forced to leave Tuesday's contest against the Magic due to an abdominal cramp. Hansbrough was taken out of the game near the end of the third quarter of the 95-73 win, but the game was already was out of reach by then. He finished with 14 points and 14 rebounds, while logging 27 minutes in place of the injured David West.
Analysis: Hansbrough said he could have returned to the game, but the Pacers didn't need him after building a comfortable lead. The 27-year-old once again got a chance to start with West still sidelined with a back injury and he once again posted a double-double --his third of the season. However, Hansbrough's production as a reserve remains minimal so unless he finds himself as a regular in the starting lineup, owners can continue to ignore him in the majority of formats moving forward.

Hansbrough, who started in place of the injured David West, finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds in the 111-90 win. He went 6 of 12 from the field, while logging 23 minutes of game action.
Analysis: Hansbrough has now posted a double-double in both of his starts this season, but his production has remained minimal as a reserve. Unless the 27-year-old somehow finds himself as a regular in the starting lineup, he should continue to be ignored in the majority of formats at this point in the season.

Analysis: Hansbrough grabbed three rebounds and failed to score his last time out over 11 minutes on Monday against Brooklyn. He only saw more time on Wednesday because West was out. He's having a horrendous season and one big performance isn't going to change that. Hansbrough heads into the All-Star break with low-end value in all leagues and formats.

Hansbrough was 4 for 6 from the line and scored just the four points over 13 minutes. He was 0 for 2 from the field and did not grab a single rebound in the game. Hansbrough contributed two assists, a steal and a block.

News: Pacers forward Tyler Hansbrough posted his first double-double of the season Wednesday, as he played 17 minutes in a 98-79 blowout win over the Pistons. Hansbrough grabbed 11 rebounds in the game and added 14 points, on 3 of 8 shooting. He went 8 for 8 at the free-throw line, and added one assist and one steal.
Analysis: Hansbrough has seen his role shrink this season, as he is averaging a career-low 16.1 minutes per game through the first 46 games. He is putting up career lows in points and rebounds, at 6.3 and 4.0 per game, respectively. Hansbrough is falling out of favor in Indiana, and can be left for just the deepest of Fantasy formats.
News: Pacers forward Tyler Hansbrough posted nine points and eight rebounds during Indiana's 82-81 victory over Memphis on Monday. Hansbrough snatched five of his boards on the offensive glass as he finished with his highest rebounding total during the month of January. He drilled 4 of his 5 attempts (80 percent) from the field to register a field-goal percentage better than 60 percent for the third time this month.
Analysis: Hansbrough continues to search for consistency during his fourth NBA season as he looks to take advantage of his playing time that hovers around 14-20 minutes. He logged just 12 minutes against the Grizzlies, but has able to produce his third-highest rebounding output of the season. If he can steady his scoring, he could make for a useful option in deeper Fantasy formats, but holds just minimal value for now.

He also went 5 for 5 from the charity stripe while playing 18 minutes off the bench. Hansbrough posted three rebounds and a block in the 103-76 win.
Analysis: Hansbrough has had a down campaign so far this season and is averaging just 5.4 points with two rebounds in the previous five games. His poor shot had hindered his Fantasy appeal of late but his role in Indiana also gives him little value. Owners should leave Hansbrough on waivers in all but the deepest of formats at this point.
News: Pacers forward Tyler Hansbrough turned in his best performance of the season during Friday's contest against the Celtics. Hansbrough scored a season-high 19 points on 7 of 11 shooting from the field and 5 of 8 from the free throw line in a 94-75 defeat. He took a tough foul from Kevin Garnett, who was ejected from the game for hitting Hansbrough in the face. "I took a shot I'm the head," Hansbrough said. "I had to take care of myself. I wasn't really concerned about retaliating at the time. I was just making sure I was OK."
Analysis: Hansbrough was fortunately fine after taking a hit to the face, which is a good sign, especially since he has a history of concussions in his three years in the league. With George Hill and Sam Young sidelined with an injuries, the Pacers were in desperate need of some scoring, which could explain why Hansbrough played so well Friday night. Still, he is way to inconsistent for Fantasy owners to trust at this point. Hansbrough has only logged 20-plus minutes in three of his last 23 contests and has marginal Fantasy value in the deepest of formats at this point.

Analysis: Hansbrough has broke out of a mini slump and has shot 66.7 percent over his last three games. Still, he has scored in double figures just six of the team's first 30 games this season. At this point, he does not see enough minutes to make an impact in Fantasy. He has marginal value in the deepest of Fantasy formats moving forward.

Since then he has shot 60 percent (15 for 25) in his last six games, though averaging just 6.5 points per game over that span. At this point, he does not see enough minutes to make an impact in Fantasy. He has marginal value in the deepest of Fantasy formats moving forward.

Analysis: Hansbrough is shooting just under 18 percent from the field over his last five games and is averaging 2.4 points, 4.0 rebounds and just 13 minutes per game over that span. He's not going to gain any Fantasy value shooting that way and is already just a low-end option in most Fantasy leagues.
News: Pacers forward Tyler Hansbrough did not do much scoring Friday night against the Spurs but made a contribution on the boards. He hauled in a season-high 12 rebounds -- including four on the offensive glass -- and finished with three points in the 104-97 loss. He went 1 for 3 from the field and made 1 of 2 free throws while playing 18 minutes off the bench. Hansbrough also blocked a shot in the defeat.
Analysis: Hansbrough has been hitting the boards of late, which is a good thing for owners as his scoring has been poor. He is averaging 5.8 points with 6.4 rebounds in his previous five games and is shooting just 39 percent over that span. The 27-year-old has disappointed after his breakout sophomore campaign so continue to view Hansbrough as a low-end option in deeper Fantasy formats.
News: Pacers power forward Tyler Hansbrough provided a spark off the bench but could not do much offensively during Saturday's 89-85 victory over the Wizards. Hansbrough was held to just six points and six rebounds but he picked up two steals in the fourth quarter to ignite a 10-run for the Pacers. He went 1 of 2 from the floor and struggled from the charity stripe, knocking down just 4 of 12 free throws in 21 minutes.
Analysis: Hansbrough is able to provide some scoring and rebounding off the bench every now and then but will have to improve his shooting in order to gain any sort of Fantasy value. He is averaging just 7.7 points and 4.3 rebounds per game thus far and has yet to break double figures in scoring. He should be viewed as more of a low-end reserve option in deeper formats moving forward.
News: Pacers power forward Tyler Hansbrough came off the bench for 23 minutes Monday night in a loss at San Antonio. Hansbrough grabbed six rebounds for the Pacers but shot poorly as he went 1 for 7 from the field for nine points. He did go 7 of 9 from the line.
Analysis: Hansbrough will have some excellent performances but really needs to improve his shot consistently. He doesn't produce at a high level all the time and that hurts his Fantasy value. He should only see action in the deepest of leagues.
News: As expected, Pacers forward Tyler Hansbrough was not much of a factor in Indiana's season opener against the Raptors. Hansbrough finished with eight points in the 90-88 win on 2 of 5 shooting from the field. He went 4 for 4 from the charity stripe and also added three rebounds and an assist to his stat line, while seeing 20 minutes off the bench.
Analysis: Hansbrough is likely looking seeing around 20 minutes off the bench most nights, which should keep his production right on par with last year. While he may light up the scoreboard from time to time, Hansbrough limited minutes will make it tough for him to get his numbers most nights. Consider the 26-year-old more of a low-end reserve option in most formats at this point in the season.

Analysis: Hansbrough's time on the court Wednesday puts him just over 20 minutes per night over his last five games. Over that time, Hansbrough is averaging 9.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and little else while shooting under 40 percent. If Hansbrough isn't giving Fantasy owners big-man statistics, he's barely worth using in most formats.
News: Pacers forward Tyler Hansbrough suffered a broken nose and facial bone after taking an elbow to the face on Saturday night against the Bucks, reports the Indianapolis Star. X-rays revealed the injury late Sunday night, but Hansbrough is not expected to miss anytime moving forward. He will wear a protective mask on his face.
Analysis: Hansbrough will play through his injuries, so Fantasy owners who were awaiting word on his status should feel free to get him active. The 26-year-old is averaging 9.5 points and 4.7 rebounds on the season, making him a viable low-end option in most formats, when healthy.
News: Pacers forward Tyler Hansbrough took a hard collision and an elbow to the face from Bucks guard Mike Dunleavy on Saturday, and is expected to receive X-rays on his cheek on Sunday when the team returns to Indianapolis. Hansbrough played 21 minutes in the game, five of which came after the collision, for which Dunleavy received a Flagrant 1 foul. Hansbrough finished the game with just six points on 2 of five shooting with only two rebounds as the Pacers defeated the Bucks, 125-104.
Analysis: The fact that Hansbrough played five minutes after the collision says that he probably isnt looking at an extended layoff, if he missed any time at all. The X-rays will be taken on Sunday, however it would be a surprise to see Hansbrough miss a significant amount of time. Still, we will keep you updated on his status moving forward, as he is a solid low-end Fantasy option when healthy.

He went 3 of 4 from the free-throw line and also added three rebounds and one assist to his stat line, while logging 28 minutes of game action.
Analysis: Hansbrough was on fire Tuesday night, but that has not been the norm this season. The 26-year-old is shooting just 40 percent from the floor and has been wildly inconsistent on the offense end. While he continues to see around 20 minutes per game, owners should consider Hansbrough merely a low-end option at this point of the season.
News: Indiana power forward Tyler Hansbrough played well despite seeing just 15 minutes on Tuesday night in a blowout win over the Blazers. Hansbrough shot 2 of 6 from the field to score eight points and he added seven rebounds and a steal in the game.
Analysis: Hansbrough is seeing just over 20 minutes per game of late for the Pacers. He puts up solid stat lines at times, but he's horribly inconsistent in the way the team uses him. Averaging under 10 points and five rebounds per game on the year, Hansbrough only has low-end Fantasy value at this time.
News: Pacers forward Tyler Hansbrough was limited on Tuesday in a loss to Atlanta. Hansbrough was relegated to 17 minutes off the bench as he did little with his time in the game. Analysis: Hansbrough is averaging 10.6 points per game over his last five, but has scored a grand total of 16 points in his last three games. He's shot 5 for 18 from the field over that span with just 11 rebounds. Hansbrough is in a mini slump and as a result his minutes have dwindled in the last three games. He should get back on track shortly, however, owners can reserve him until that time.

Hansbrough finished with 15 points in the 102-78 victory, on 4 of 8 shooting from the field. He went 7 for 10 from the free-throw line and also added nine rebounds and a steal to his stat line, while logging 16 minutes off the bench.
Analysis: Hansbrough has now scored in double figures in three of his last five contests and is averaging 11.6 points and 5.2 rebounds over that stretch. While he continues see around 20 minutes a game backing up David West, Hansbrough has been showing he can still put up decent scoring numbers from time to time. However, until he shows a bit more consistency, continue to view the 26-year-old as merely a low-end option.

Analysis: Hansbrough has had a hard time scoring this season but he showed on Wednesday that he can put up some decent numbers from time to time. He is averaging 9.4 points with 4.2 rebounds in his last five contests, and is shooting 37 percent over that span. The 26-year-old should be able to improve his shooting percentage after the All-Star break so keep an eye on his progress going forward. For now, continue to view Hansbrough as a low-end option in Fantasy.

Analysis: Hansbrough has seen his role lessened with David West now in Indiana but he occasionally comes through with some decent performances for owners. Still, he is averaging just 7.6 points with 3.6 rebounds in his last five contests, and is shooting 44 percent over that span. While he would likely receive more playing time if West were to go down with an injury, consider Hansbrough as not much more than a low-end Fantasy option at this point.
News: Pacers F Tyler Hansbrough was able to get his scoring back into double figures during Tuesday night's contest against the Heat. Hansbrough finished with 11 points in the 105-90 defeat, on 2 of 3 shooting from the field. He went 7 for 8 from the free-throw line and also chipped in with four rebounds and one assist, while logging 19 minutes off the bench.
Analysis: Hansbrough continues to see around 20 minutes a night for the Pacers, which makes it tough to consistently produce quality numbers. While he is still averaging a respectable 9.4 points and 5.0 rebounds on the season, his lack of playing time makes it tough to stick with him in most formats for long periods of time. Unless he sees a spike in minutes, consider the 26-year-old merely a low-end reserve at this point in the season.
News: Pacers forward Tyler Hansbrough scored just eight points on Tuesday night against the Jazz. He shot 3 for 8 from the field and hit both his foul shots. Hansbrough got 19 minutes off the bench, which is just under what he's been averaging. He added three boards, a steal, a block and an assist in Indiana's 104-99 win.
Analysis: Hansbrough was coming off a 17-point performance, but has combined for 17 in his three games surrounding that outing. Analysis: Hansbrough continues to see around 20 minutes off the bench in Indiana but his scoring has been down so far this season. He is averaging just 5.8 points with 4.8 rebounds in his last five contests, and his 33 percent shooting percent over that span has a lot to do with his recent struggles. His offensive game is still a work in progress so keep an eye on him going forward. But until he proves to be more consistent, continue to view Hansbrough as more of an option for deeper Fantasy formats.
News: Indiana F Tyler Hansbrough finished with only four points and three rebounds during the Pacers' 94-91 victory over Golden State on Friday night. Hansbrough connected on 2 of 6 attempts from the field as he recorded less than 10 points for the third consecutive game. He is now averaging just 7.6 points per game in his past five outings. Hansbrough also added a steal and an assist during 21 minutes of playing time.
Analysis: Hansbrough started off the year on a torrid run as he appeared poised to build off his impressive campaign during the 2010-11 season. However, he has scored in double-digits only once since Jan. 9 to drop his season average to 10.8 ppg. His rebound totals have also becoming inconsistent after he averaged 9.5 boards a night in his first four games. Consider him a decent reserve option in deeper Fantasy formats.

He went 3 for 6 form the floor and finished with 13 points and six rebounds in the 95-90 win. He made all seven of his free throws while playing 22 minutes off the bench. Hansbrough also chipped in with two assists, a steal and a blocked shot. He is making 50 percent of his shots over the last five games.
Analysis: Hansbrough has not been doing as much rebounding over his last five games but is still scoring in double figures. He is putting up 12.2 points with 6.2 rebounds through 11 games, and is slowing bringing up his shooting percentage. The 26-year-old can provide owners with some decent low-end production but since his role off the bench limits his Fantasy value, leave Hansbrough for deeper formats at this point.

The 26-year-old has managed to pour in double-digits in points during his past seven games and is averaging a quality 12.6 points per night. He is also receiving more playing time than his previous two years (26.8 mpg). Consider him a mid-range Fantasy F option when healthy.

He had trouble seeing, so he couldnt return," coach Frank Vogel told the Indianapolis Star after the game.
Analysis: Hansbrough looked like he got popped in the eye pretty good, although the team has yet to announce the severity of his injury. Fantasy owners should keep an eye on his status moving forward to see when he will be able to get back on the court. Hansbrough can be considered a solid low-end Fantasy option in most formats, when healthy.

Analysis: Hansbrough apparently suffered the minor setback last Monday against New Jersey, but will not be forced to miss any playing time. He has registered double-digits in points over his past three outings and is averaging a quality 12.4 points per games overall this season. His main contribution remains on the glass where he is hauling in an average of 9.0 boards a game. Consider him a mid-range option in most Fantasy formats.
News: Pacers F Tyler Hansbrough posted his second double-double of the young season on Friday against the Cavaliers. Analysis: Hansbrough averaged a double-double a year ago and has been one of the more reliable options in Fantasy. While he does not provide owners with much else besides rebounds and low-end points, his consistency on a good team keeps him relevant. His shooting percentage should pick up so keep an eye on his progress and continue to view Hansbrough as a viable Fantasy F in the majority of leagues.

He shot 6 of 14 from the field in the win and also chipped in with a steal, while logging 32 minutes off the bench.
Analysis: Hansbrough had a breakout season last year and looks poised for another big one this season in Indiana. While he will continue to come off the bench behind David West, coach Frank Vogel will make sure the third-year man from North Carolina gets his minutes. Indiana plays three more times during the scoring period, so continue to roll with the 26-year-old as a No. 3 Fantasy option moving forward.
News: With Indiana's addition of F David West, Pacers F Tyler Hansbrough will likely return to the bench for the upcoming season. Hansbrough was moved into the starting lineup late last season and averaged 11 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. It helps me, Hansbrough said. "Im looking forward to learning from him, competing against him every day in practice. I think its going to make me better, just seeing a veteran guy thats been around the league. Maybe I can pick up a couple things from him. It also makes our team much better."
Analysis: As a rookie, Hansbrough missed the early part of the season with a right shin injury. Once he returned, an inner ear infection that caused vertigo cost him the rest of his season. Last season, coach Jim OBrien barely played him before Frank Vogel gave him a chance. Hansbrough has added a consistent midrange jumper that opened up his game en route to his improved scoring output. West is returning from an ACL injury so Hansbrough could receive some start in the early part of the season. Consider him a quality selection in the later rounds of 2011-12 Fantasy drafts.
News: The Pacers have picked up the 2012-13 team options on Darren Collison, Tyler Hansbrough and Paul George. All three were starters by the end of last season. Hansbrough missed most of his rookie year, but he played a bigger role last season and moved into the starting lineup when Frank Vogel became interim coach. He averaged 11 points and 5.2 rebounds per game and was a key contributor during Indiana's playoff push.
Analysis: Hansbrough had a breakout season this past year. He should continue to grow heading into Year 3, and we consider him a No. 4 Fantasy forward on Draft Day. Plan on drafting Hansbrough with a mid- to late-round pick in all scoring formats.
News: The Indianapolis Star reports that Pacers forward Tyler Hansbrough has to develop more ways to score, including developing a left hand and some subtle moves around the hoop. "With him now, it's in-game adjustments," team president Larry Bird said. "When they switch the way they're playing him, he has a hard time picking it up and adjusting, and he's getting frustrated. But that takes time."
Analysis: Hansbrough had a breakout season this past year, averaging 11.0 points and 5.2 rebounds. Those were improvements over his rookie stats the previous season of 8.5 points and 4.8 rebounds. He should continue to grow heading into Year 3, and we consider him a No. 4 Fantasy forward on Draft Day. Plan on drafting Hansbrough with a mid- to late-round pick in all scoring formats.
News: Pacers forward Tyler Hansbrough is closing the year on a solid note. Hansbrough averaged 16.8 points and 7.1 rebounds per game in March as the Pacers made their playoff push. He scored 22 points in the playoff opener at Chicago in Game 1, then struggled in Monday's loss, scoring six points on 2-for-12 shooting. Hansbrough certainly has Chicago's attention. "He's a good player," Chicago coach Tom Thibodeau said. "He's hard playing, he can shoot the ball, put it on the floor. You have to give him a lot of credit." Hansbrough will make his home playoff debut Thursday in Game 3. "This is what I was dreaming about as a kid," he said. "I've always been a part of success. We'll see what happens. Just got to go out there and prepare." Pacers interim coach Frank Vogel said Hansbrough's success starts with his work ethic. "You don't do what he did in college and not know how to succeed," Vogel said. "He's got a motor that you see on the court, but you see him in practice, and in drills, one-on-zero, he's going as hard in those drills as he is on the basketball court. Guys like that succeed."
Analysis: Hansbrough should hopefully finish the playoffs on a high note, and we like his game heading into 2011-12. Plan on drafting Hansbrough as a No. 3 Fantasy forward with a mid-round pick, and we hope his play in March and the playoff opener is indicative of what he can for a full season next year.
News: Indiana forward Tyler Hansbrough scored all of his 22 points over the final 29 minutes of Saturday's Game 1 in Chicago. He missed about seven minutes of action after he took an inadvertent elbow from Kurt Thomas. Hansbrough stayed on the ground for a bit before being helped back to the locker room. He returned with 5:33 remaining and kept the Pacers in the game. The kid is a big-time competitor, Indiana coach Frank Vogel told the Daily Herald. Big-time. Im glad hes on my team. Hansbrough finished the night shooting 10 for 19 from the field and converting 2 of his 3 foul shots. Hes really worked on his game, said Bulls guard Kyle Korver. I think a lot of people had a lot of doubts about him coming into the draft. Where was he going to get picked and how would he play? He showed tonight hes a great player. He gave us fits." Hansbrough added four rebounds, two assists and one steal in his 36 minutes of court time. The Pacers would end up losing to the Bulls, 104-99, despite his efforts.
Analysis: Hansbrough has had an up and down year for the Pacers. He's dealt with two coaches and has been in and out of the starting lineup. Hansbrough started 29 games and came off the bench in 41 during the regular season. He had his best month of the year in March, when he averaged 16.8 points and 7.1 boards, while shooting 49.8 percent from the field. He's developed into a quality Fantasy forward and should be viewed as a mid-round option this fall on Draft Day.
News: The Indianapolis Star reports that Pacers coach Frank Vogel said his starters would play Wednesday night at Orlando but probably not their usual minutes. That means Danny Granger, Roy Hibbert, Darren Collison and Tyler Hansbrough will be active against the Magic even if their minutes might be reduced. The Pacers have locked up the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference. "We've been winning of late, and we want to keep that mentality," Granger said. "We don't care who we're playing, we're going to try to win."
Analysis: Fantasy owners in daily leagues should count on Hansbrough to play against Orlando. He might not see his usual amount of playing time, but if he's active then owners should consider playing him in the season finale.
News: Pacers F Tyler Hanbrough turned in another pedestrian type performance in Sunday's 108-96 loss to the Hornets. Hansbrough finished with nine points in the contest on 4 of 7 shooting from the field. He went 1 of 4 from the free-throw line and also chipped in with five rebounds and two assists while logging 24 minutes off the bench. Hansbrough is averaging 9.6 points and 5.2 rebounds over his last five contests.
Analysis: Hansbrough burst on the scene after a very strong beginning of March. Coach Frank Vogel immediately began playing Hansbrough more when he took over as head coach and the 25-year-old went through a stretch where he scored over 20 points in five straight contests. However, most of that was when he was playing starter minutes with Josh McRoberts out. Now that McRoberts is fully healthy the two have been sharing time, which has really flat lined Psycho-T's numbers. There has been nothing to suggest that Vogel will tweak his rotation over the final four games of the season, so Fantasy owners should continue to view Hansbrough as a low-end Fantasy option heading into Week 24 (April 4-13).
News: Indiana forward Tyler Hansbrough put the Pacers in position to win on Tuesday night versus the Knicks. After registering a career-high 29 points on Sunday -- also against New York -- Hansbrough topped that effort with a 30-point performance. "I love New York, but I just happen to play good against them," Hansbrough said. He scored 15 points in the third quarter alone. The Pacers would hit a last-second shot to win the game, 119-117. Hansbrough added three rebounds and two steals in his 37 minutes of action. He would shoot 12 of 17 from the floor and convert 6 of his 8 foul shots.
Analysis: After Sunday's outing Hansbrough said he's playing with a chip on his shoulder, because plenty of people doubted him entering this season. He's used that as motivation and has turned it up a few notches recently. Over his last five games, Hansbrough is averaging 25.2 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.0 steals per contest. He's getting things done with hustle and the Pacers couldn't be more happy. While he can't be counted on to carry a Fantasy team, Hansbrough is playing well enough to be used in many mixed leagues.
News: Pacers F Tyler Hansbrough continues to play at a frantic pace offensively. Not only has he scored 20 or more points in four straight games, but he scored a career-high 29 points Sunday against the Knicks. He shot 12 of 20 from the floor, knocking down 7 of 8 foul shots in the process. Hansbrough added eight rebounds on the night and turned the ball over just once in 40 minutes of playing time in a starting role. "I don't know if he's trying to prove anything, I just think he has a motor that is really unparalleled in this league," interim coach Frank Vogel said. "Nobody goes harder than that kid. Nobody in the league plays harder than Tyler Hansbrough." Entering the NBA, there were plenty who doubted Hansbrough, something that motivated him. "I got a chip on my shoulder," Hansbrough said. "A lot of people don't feel like I deserve to be in the league, the coach didn't play me in the past because I don't know why, so I come in the gym every day, try to get a little better and prove a point."
Analysis: Hansbrough has turned it up lately to say the least. The former college star at Carolina is averaging an astounding 22.6 points per game over his last five games. He's seeing more playing time in the span, nearly double what he normally plays. Hansbrough isn't flashy, by any means. He utilizes the mid-range game effectively to open up plays near the basket when he can. But make no mistake, his game is centered around his work ethic just as his coach pointed out after the game. We like Hansbrough as a mid-range Fantasy option across the board while he's this hot for Indy.
News: Pacers F Tyler Hansbrough led the Pacers with 26 points in Tuesday's game against Philadelphia, continuing his recent positive run. He made 11 of 14 shots from the field and also added six rebounds and three steals. Over his last 10 games, Hansbrough has averaged 14.5 points and 6.7 rebounds.
Analysis: Hansbrough is getting extended run from the Pacers and should continue to see this type of playing time down the stretch as the team has made it a point to try to develop their young workhorse. He has proven to be capable of handling a more active offensive load and has the ability to work hard on both ends of the floor, which buys him more playing time. He makes for a strong addition off the waiver wire and can be activated as a No. 3 or 4 forward, depending on the size of your league.
News: Pacers forward Tyler Hansbrough led the team in points, 17, and was tied for the team high in rebounds, 10, on Saturday night. That marked his fourth double-double of the season for Indiana, but his efforts would come in an 112-95 loss to Houston. He shot 8 for 18 from the field and connected on 1 of his 2 foul shots. The youngster added one block as well in his 25 minutes off the bench. "We have to put this game behind us, and stay focused as a team," said Hansbrough. "It seemed like it was their game, and not ours."
Analysis: Hansbrough has been getting quality minutes off the bench for the Pacers lately, which has given him some opportunities to produce. Over his last 10 outings he's averaging 12.0 points and 5.8 boards in 25 minutes of court time. He's not shooting particularly well over that span, just 38.1 percent from the field, over that span. While he's still not a big-time player in Fantasy leagues, Hansbrough is holding value in deeper formats.
News: Pacers PF Tyler Hansbrough played fairly well to open the second half of the season on Tuesday night in Washington. Hansbrough came off the bench and played 22 minutes for interim coach Frank Vogel. He shot 4 for 10 and scored 17 points to finish second on the team in scoring and to lead all bench scorers. He went 9 for 10 from the line and added five rebounds and a block.
Analysis: Hansbrough is getting 23 minutes per game over his last five contests but he's been highly inconsistent in those games. He's alternated double-digit scoring efforts and he hasn't rebounded in double figures in any of those contests. He's also shooting just 40 percent from the field. He'll need to improve upon his field goal percentage before he becomes a solid Fantasy option outside the deeper formats.
News: Indiana PF Tyler Hansbrough looked unstoppable at times on Tuesday night against the smaller Miami Heat. Despite Miami pulling away at the end of the game, Hansbrough helped keep Indiana close through much of the second half. The former UNC standout played 27 minutes and shot 6 of 11 from the field to score 16 points. He added five rebounds.
Analysis: Hansbrough has seen greater than 20 minutes in three straight games now and the 27 he had Tuesday was his most in his last five contests. He's getting more minutes and is doing lots of good things with the time on the court. Hansbrough is averaging 10.5 points and 4.8 rebounds per game over his last 10 contests and those numbers are climbing. As long as he continues to see around 25 minutes a game and remains productive, Hansbrough can be considered a solid low-end Fantasy option.
News: After shooting a combined 3 of 14 from the field in his previous two games, Pacers forward Tyler Hansbrough found his shooting stroke in Tuesday's 117-112 loss to the Heat. Hansbrough was a perfect 6 of 6 from the field in the defeat to finish with 18 points. He made 6 of 7 of his free-throw attempts and also chipped in with two rebounds while logging 24 minutes off the bench.
Analysis: Hansbrough continues to play well off the bench for the Pacers and is averaging a respectable 13.2 points and 6.0 rebounds over his last five contests. He has said he is having fun again playing for interim coach Frank Vogel and his numbers of late have reflected that. As long as he continues to see around 25 minutes a game and remains productive, Hansbrough can be considered a solid low-end Fantasy option.
News: Pacers PF Tyler Hansbrough is going to have fun playing for Indiana now that Jim O'Brien is gone, reports the Indianapolis Star on Monday night. Interim head coach Frank Vogel said prior to the game against Toronto that he was going to roll with Hansbrough and Josh McRoberts as his main power forwards. Hansbrough said he was frustrated playing for O'Brien, never knowing when he was going to play or not. Its going to be fun now, Hansbrough said. Now I know how to prepare for each game. Theres no more guessing. I can be mentally and physically ready instead of not knowing and being out in the dark.
Analysis: Hansbrough played 15 minutes off the bench in a return from pneumonia on Monday against the Raptors. Although McRoberts started the game, Hansbrough was more impressive scoring 14 points and grabbing six boards in limited minutes. Vogel said Hansbrough will come off the bench for now, but that he's going to be one of the main bench scorers. That could mean a nice boost for Hansbrough. He's a hard worker and with the time on the court could develop into a double-double guy. Fantasy owners might want to take notice of how he performs in coming games.
News: Pacers PF Tyler Hansbrough (pneumonia) was active for Monday's game against Toronto. Hansbrough, however, did not start for the Pacers as he came off the bench. Josh McRoberts started for Indiana. Hansbrough only played 15 minutes but was far more impressive than McRoberts. The former UNC All-American scored 14 points in his 15 minutes as he went 6 of 13 from the field. Hansbrough added six rebounds.
Analysis: Psycho-T recorded a 27-point, 10-rebound performance on Jan. 23 at Denver. He scored eight points with three boards over 19 minutes in the next game and hasn't played since. Pacers president of basketball operations Larry Bird said Sunday during the press conference to announce new head coach Frank Vogel that he was frustrated that Tyler Hansbrough wasn't playing more earlier in the season. Fantasy owners should watch to see if he does start getting more run. He could be an interesting option for deeper leagues should that happen.
News: Pacers president of basketball operations Larry Bird said Sunday during the press conference to announce new head coach Frank Vogel that he was frustrated that Tyler Hansbrough wasn't playing more earlier in the season.
Analysis: Hansbrough is dealing with pneumonia at the moment, but you have to think Bird will have whispered in Vogel's ear that he wants to see the former UNC star on the court some more in the second half of the season. If you're in a deeper league and need forward help, think about adding Hansbrough now just in case his minutes and Fantasy numbers do take off in February and beyond.
News: Indiana forward Tyler Hansbrough missed his second straight game because of pneumonia in the Pacers' 110-89 loss at Chicago on Saturday. "We thought we'd have him today because we shot him up with antibiotics yesterday," Indiana coach Jim O'Brien said. "He can't go. He wants to go. He wanted to go last night. But our medical staff is not permitting him to play." Hansbrough, who is averaging 7.2 points and 4.2 rebounds per game, is considered day-to-day.
Analysis: Hansbrough has started the Pacers' last 10 games and netted double figures in six outings during that stretch. His bout with pneumonia will likely sap him of his energy and he could need a game or two to regain his game strength. his improved production makes him worth stashing in deeper Fantasy formats and he should be considered a mid-range option when healthy.
News: Pacers F Tyler Hansbrough did not play in Friday's contest against the Nets as he is dealing with a case of pneumonia. Hansbrough, who has started the past 10 games, is listed as day to day and coach Jim O'Brien said he expects to have the second-year forward back for Saturday's contest at Chicago. Hansbrough is averaging 7.2 points and 4.2 rebounds per game while shooting 47 percent from the field.
Analysis: Hansbrough registered a career-high 27 points and 10 rebounds in the Pacers' 121-107 loss at Denver on Sunday night, but then regressed to just eight points in 19 minutes on Wednesday against the Magic. Of course, he could have been feeling a little under the weather during that game, so don't read too much into that performance. For now, Hansbrough remains worth stashing away in deeper Fantasy formats, but we need to see more consistency out of him before we suggest starting him.
News: The Pacers' official website reports that Pacers PF Tyler Hansbrough will miss Friday night's game vs. the Nets with pneumonia.
News: Indiana forward Tyler Hansbrough registered a career-high 27 points and 10 rebounds in the Pacers' 121-107 loss at Denver on Sunday night. Hansbrough finished 10 for 17 from the field and 7 of 9 from the free-throw line for his third 20-point game of the season. Hansbrough added an assist in 30 minutes -- the most playing time in his last eight games -- while finishing with his second double-double of the season.
Analysis: Hansbrough is part of Indiana's evolving startling lineup and the former North Carolina star earned the start Sunday. He took advantage of the increased playing time and attempted 10-plus shots for the fifth time this season and second occasion in his last three games. He has been elevated his production on the boards and is averaging 7.3 rebounds in his last three games. Continue to monitor Hansbrough's progression and he could contribute in deeper Fantasy leagues.
News: Pacers PF Tyler Hansbrough has been starting for Indiana and he's beginning to look more consistent of late. The former UNC All-American shot 6 of 11 from the field on Tuesday in a win at Philadelphia to score 12 points with nine rebounds. He added two assists and a steal and has scored in double figures in three straight games.
Analysis: Hansbrough is getting extra run of late as he's joined the starting lineup. The power forward position has been all over the map for the Pacers this season and Hansbrough has the opportunity to take hold of it right now. He's averaging 15 points and nine boards over his last three games and if he can keep that up he'd be worth using in the deeper Fantasy formats. Continue to track his progress because you know as long as he's getting minutes, he'll give Fantasy owners everything he's got.
News: Pacers forward Tyler Hansbrough started Friday's game going 4 of 5 from the field. The rest of the team was 1 of 8 eight minutes into the game. He scored the game's first six points in his first start of the season. Hansbrough finished the night going 10 for 19 from the field and 3 for 4 from the foul line. He finished with a season-highs -- 23 points and 12 rebounds -- his first double-double of the year. He added a steal, an assist and two blocks in his 36 minutes of court time. The Pacers let the game slip away though, despite Hansbrough's solid effort, losing to the Spurs 90-87.
Analysis: Coach Jim O'Brien seems to be mixing up the lineup to see what works for the Pacers. O'Brien wanted production from his frontcourt and with Hansbrough producing his best game of the year, one would think he'd be a lock in the starting lineup now -- barring any injury. But crazy things seem to happen and players fall in and out of favor out coaches all the time. For now, Fantasy owners should view Hansbrough as a low-end forward option in deeper leagues. If he continues to start and produce, he'd garner more attention in Fantasy. If you have room on your roster he'd be worth stashing.
News: NBA.com reports that Pacers PF Tyler Hansbrough will start against the Spurs on Friday night. Hansbrough has only started one game in his two-year NBA career. "It's a chance to go out there and try to help the team," Hansbrough said. "I'm just going to go out there and try to play my game. I'm not going to go out there to try to be impressive or play over my head. I just want to help us win."
Analysis: Hansbrough is averaging only five points a game in 12.9 minutes this season, but his Fantasy value could get a big boost if he takes this opportunity and runs with it. When Hansbrough got a season-high 29 minutes of action back in early November against the Nuggets, he came through with 20 points, and he showed at times last season that he has the offensive game to put up solid Fantasy numbers when given the chance. His ownership percentage won't stay at 6 percent for long if he produces, so grab him now in deeper formats simply because of his potential.
News: Pacers forward Tyler Hansbrough did not play in Friday's 108-99 win over the Cavaliers. Coach Jim O'Brien has not played the team's 2009 first-round pick in four of the past six games. He's averaging 5.6 points, 3.3 rebounds and shooting 50.8 percent from the field in his 17 games this season.
Analysis: Despite O'Brien saying he likes Hansbrough's effort on the boards, he's not playing his young forward. It seems Hansbrough gives a lift when he plays, but just isn't getting a chance to produce. This has to be frustrating for Hansbrough and Fantasy owners that drafted him in hopes he'd have a breakout year. He's not worth starting in Fantasy formats, but is worth monitoring as the season progresses.
News: According to the Indianapolis Star, Pacers coach Jim O'Brien is turning to second-year forward Tyler Hansbrough in the starting lineup. He'll replace Josh McRoberts for the time being. "Josh was getting dominated," Jim O'Brien said. "He had one rebound. We needed rebounders in there. I'm going to stick with Roy (Hibbert) because we don't have options. Roy is going to be our starting center. We have options at power forward."
Analysis: O'Brien hopes Hansbrough jump-starts the starting lineup. Through 17 games this year, Hansbrough is averaging 5.6 points and 3.3 rebounds. Not exactly great numbers, but when your starting five has five rebounds at halftime -- like the Pacers did on Wednesday -- a change had to be made. It will be interesting to see how much more he's on the court as a starter and if his numbers go up. For now, Fantasy owners in the deepest of leagues should monitor Hansbrough. He's not worth starting in Fantasy formats yet, but he could be worth adding later in the season.
News: Pacers forward Tyler Hansbrough played just three minutes in Saturday's 97-83 loss to the Hawks. Hansbrough failed to score in the contest and finished with a steal and just one rebound. He has only played in two of the Pacers last five contests.
Analysis: Hansbrough hasn't been playing much of late, averaging just 4.5 minutes in the last two games he has appeared in. Coach Jim O'Brien said Hansbrough is still developing his game and that he is behind the curve because he missed most of his rookie season. While Hansbrough has shown the ability to contribute at times, he should not be used in Fantasy until he starts seeing some significant playing time. Leave him on the bench heading into Fantasy Week 8 (Dec. 13-19).
News: Indiana second-year PF Tyler Hansbrough has been a DNP-CD in two of the Pacers' last five games and Indiana coach Jim O'Brien says he's still developing his game, reports NBA.com. Hansbrough, who missed much of his rookie season due to injury, has been in the low single digits in scoring recently. I consider Tyler a rookie because of what he went through last year, OBrien said. Its taken Tyler some time. Once he gets it, hell have it the rest of his NBA career and hell be a very, very productive basketball player.
Analysis: Hansbrough has shown the ability to contribute at times, but he's not been able to sustain it for any long-term consistency. Until that happens, he's only going to have low-end Fantasy appeal. Nobody works harder than Psycho-T, however, so we expect him to figure it out one of these days.
News: Pacers F Tyler Hansbrough started the second half of Tuesday's game against the Cavaliers over Josh McRoberts. Hansbrough finished the game with eight points and five rebounds. McRoberts, who started the game at power forward, finished with nine points and seven rebounds.
Analysis: Pacers coach Jim O'Brien is big on matchups and he continues to make moves to his starting lineup based on his opposition. Hansbrough still saw fewer minutes than McRoberts and remains far too spotty to trust given his shaky playing time. He has shown some flashes of brilliance this season, but only that.
News: Pacers forward Tyler Hansbrough played on Thursday after missing the last game with a sprained left ankle. He logged 20 minutes, going 3 for 4 from the field and 1 for 2 from the foul line. He grabbed a team-high eight rebounds and dished out one assist in the Pacers, 107-80 win over the Clippers.
Analysis: Hansbrough gets a good chunk of playing time off the bench for the Pacers, but it isn't consistent enough to give him a lot of Fantasy value. He has a nice upside, but at this time should be left for deeper category-based leagues.
News: According to the Indianapolis Star, Pacers PF Tyler Hansbrough is expected to return to the lineup Thursday against the Clippers after missing Tuesday's game with a sprained left ankle. He'll continue to split time at power forward with Josh McRoberts.
Analysis: McRoberts starts for the Pacers, but Hansbrough steals a good percentage of his minutes off the bench. His playing time can be a little inconsistent, though. He has upside, but you should leave him for deeper Fantasy leagues.
News: Pacers PF Tyler Hansbrough (ankle) missed Tuesday's game against Atlanta with a sprained left ankle. Hansbrough is expected to return against the Clippers on Thursday.
Analysis: Hansbrough had a 20-point effort on Nov. 9 against Denver and he added nine rebounds to that. He scored just six total points with four rebounds in his next two games and only saw 18 total minutes on the court in those contests. Hansbrough is still not a regular contributor and only has low-end Fantasy value, when healthy.
News: The Indianapolis Star reports that Tyler Hansbrough (ankle) was held out of practice on Monday. He is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against Atlanta. Coach Jim O'Brien said after Saturday's game that he didn't expect Hansbrough to miss a significant amount of time.
Analysis: Hansbrough has displayed some flashes of potential this season, like his 20-point, 9-rebound effort on Nov. 9 against Denver. Unfortunately, he has been unable to sustain any kind of momentum due to an inconsistent role. He remains a player to avoid activating in all Fantasy formats.
News: Pacers forward Tyler Hansbrough sprained his ankle in the second quarter of Saturday's 99-85 win over the Cavaliers and did not return to the game. He has two points and two rebounds prior to sustaining the injury.
Analysis: Coach Jim O'Brian said after the game he didn't expect Hansbrough to miss a significant amount of time. However, he will definitely be an injury risk heading into Week 4. Fantasy owners should continue to monitor his status moving forward, but may want to leave him on the bench for the upcoming scoring period.
News: Indiana PF Tyler Hansbrough was the first big man off the bench in Tuesday's blowout win over the Nuggets. With Solomon Jones playing a lesser role and Josh McRoberts starting but scoring just two points, Hansbrough was solid over 29 minutes on the floor. The former collegiate player of the year scored 20 points on 9 of 12 shooting and grabbed nine rebounds with a blocked shot and three assists.
Analysis: Hansbrough has been getting around 20 minutes per game over his last five contests and is putting up 10.6 points, 5.0 rebounds and a steal per game over that span. The more playing time he gets, the better he performs. The Pacers are expected to play him and McRoberts more with Jones not able to rebound efficiently. Hansbrough is officially worth a look in deeper Fantasy leagues at this time.
News: The Indianapolis Star suggests Pacers PF Tyler Hansbrough could push Josh McRoberts for starter's minutes after averaging 10.5 points and 5.5 rebounds over his last two games.
Analysis: McRoberts has done his share of damage, averaging 9.3 points and 7.3 rebounds over the first three games, but Hansbrough has the higher ceiling of the two. With more minutes, Hansbrough could emerge as a sleeper in Fantasy, especially with Troy Murphy out of the picture. For now, though, you can leave him for deeper leagues.
News: Indiana forward Tyler Hansbrough made a big contribution in his return to North Carolina on Friday night as the Pacers beat the Bobcats, 104-101. Hansbrough, who was injured for most of his rookie season, hit a key jumper, grabbed a rebound and hit two free throws with 10.7 seconds left. Hansbrough saw extended playing time after Danny Granger fouled out of the game late in the fourth quarter. ``It felt great. I wouldn't have it any other place,'' said Hansbrough. ``Coming here, I was able to step in and help my team win.'' Hansbrough didn't play in Indiana's opening loss in San Antonio. But he finished with 12 points and four rebounds in 20 minutes against the Bobcats, showing off his signature energy from college and strong inside play.
Analysis: Hansbrough missed most of last season with a variety of ailments including vertigo, so him not playing in the opener wasn't too big of a surprise. He did have a decent preseason, but wasn't able to break into the starting rotation. With Troy Murphy out of the picture, Hansbrough could benefit and get some decent floor time. But until he finds his niche with the team, Fantasy owners should not keep him on their radar.
News: Pacers F Tyler Hansbrough did not play in Wednesday's regular season opener against the Spurs. He was healthy and active, but was a DNP-Coach's Decision.
Analysis: Hansbrough had a decent preseason, but was unable to beat out Josh McRoberts to take over the power forward duties that Troy Murphy left behind when he left town. He is not even being used for backup minutes and is clearly not worth owning in Fantasy at the moment.
News: Pacers PF Tyler Hansbrough had his contract option picked up for next season on Monday. Hansbrough only played in 29 games for the Pacers last season and averaged 8.5 points and 4.8 boards.
Analysis: Hansbrough missed most of last season with an inner ear infection and has been getting eased into action through four preseason games. He's averaging 9.8 points and 3.8 boards over 18.5 minutes per contest. Hansbrough scored 19 points in 19 minutes on Friday, though, and has shown the ability to do what he did in college at times. Owners should keep tabs on him during the preseason to gauge how big a role he'll play in the offense. The former UNC standout should be considered a sleeper in deeper leagues, if he can remain healthy.
News: Indiana forward Tyler Hansbrough scored 19 points in 19 minutes of action on Friday night against New Orleans. He shot 60 percent from the field, made 7 of his 8 free throws and grabbed five rebounds in the Pacers second straight win.
Analysis: Hansbrough missed most of last season with an inner ear infection and has been getting eased into action through five preseason games. Hansbrough averaged 8.5 points and 4.8 rebounds last year in the games he played. He will have to fight for minutes this year though, which will hurt his Fantasy value. Owners should keep tabs on him during the preseason to gauge how big a role he'll play in the offense. The former UNC standout should be considered a sleeper in deeper leagues, if he can remain healthy.
News: Pacers F Tyler Hansbrough, who missed most of last season with an inner ear infection and hadn't played since Jan. 16, entered with 3:23 left in the first quarter in Friday's preseason game against the Magic. Hansbrough played 19 minutes and scored nine points on 3 of 4 shooting from the floor. He also grabbed three rebounds and had an assist and a steal in the 93-86 loss.
Analysis: Hansbrough averaged 8.5 points and 4.8 rebounds in limited action last season. The Pacers might bring him along slowly after only playing in 29 games last year, but will be in the mix for minutes at forward with Josh McRoberts, Solomon Jones, Magnum Rolle and Jeff Foster. Fantasy owners should monitor how he fares in the preseason. If he can stay healthy, Hansbrough could have some nice sleeper appeal in deeper leagues.
News: Pacers F Tyler Hansbrough has been practicing with the Pacers during training camp after being cleared by doctors. An inner ear infection last season caused dizziness and made him sensitive to light. He played in only 29 games. He was his usual aggressive self during a scrimmage on Tuesday, throwing his body around, clogging passing lanes and even knocking a driving Danny Granger to the floor. "I'm feeling great," he said. "I've made a lot of progress. I feel very optimistic."
Analysis: Hansbrough averaged 8.5 points and 4.8 rebounds last season. He scored a career-high 21 points last Dec. 11 against New Jersey, and got his first career start on Jan. 13 against Phoenix. Hansbrough said the Pacers will bring him along slowly, but he is one of the team's options at the now vacant power forward spot. He'll have to compete with Josh McRoberts for minutes this season, but has some sleeper appeal in deep Fantasy leagues.
News: Pacers F Tyler Hansbrough has been listed by coach Jim O'Brien as one of the players who will be competing for the vacant starting power forward job left by the departure of Troy Murphy this past offseason. Jones will be competing with Josh McRoberts, Solomon Jones, Magnum Rolle and Jeff Foster.
Analysis: Hansbrough was cleared by doctors to participate fully in camp after dealing with an inner ear problem that has caused him to deal with vertigo since last January. He is one of the favorites to win the job, but is likely looking at a timeshare with McRoberts. He is a high-energy hustler type who could be a sleeper for boards and blocks this season, but his upside is limited at the NBA level despite all the success he had in college.
News: Pacers PF Tyler Hansbrough could be out the rest of the year, according to the Indianapolis Star. The report cited Pacers coach Jim O'Brien, who said on his weekly radio program that he doesn't think Hansbrough (inner ear infection) will return this season. Hansbrough has not played in 18 straight games.
Analysis: When healthy, Hansbrough is merely a low-end Fantasy option, thanks to season averages of 8.5 points and 4.8 rebounds. But he hasn't been healthy in many moons, and could now be shut down for the rest of the season. As a result, he is merely be taking up space on your roster and could be let go, except in long-term keeper leagues.
News: Pacers F Tyler Hansbrough sat out again Tuesday night against the Bulls with an inner ear infection, but coach Jim O'Brien was hopeful he would return soon after the All-Star break.

Analysis: Hansbrough had been playing extremely well prior to the ear infection issue, with double-doubles in back-to-back games. Analysis: Hansbrough had been playing extremely well prior to the ear issue, with double-doubles in back-to-back games. Fantasy owners should still look to take a flier on him off waivers where available, but don't activate him until he is back on the court and productive again. He's worth starting in deeper leagues, but inconsistency should be expected from the rookie.

Analysis: Hansbrough had been playing extremely well prior to the ear issue, with double-doubles in back-to-back games. He should be treated as day to day and is a risky play for Week 11 (Jan. 4-10), but Fantasy owners should still look to take a flier on him off waivers where available. He's worth starting in deeper leagues, but inconsistency should be expected from the rookie.
News: Pacers forwards Troy Murphy and Tyler Hansbrough missed Saturday's game against the Timberwolves because of injuries. Murphy sat out with a sprained left ankle he sustained Tuesday against Chicago, and his return date is uncertain. Hansbrough, a rookie, is out for the third straight game with an inner ear infection. Both are questionable for Sunday at New York.
Analysis: Murphy is the Pacers' No. 2 scorer with 13.8 points per game and leads the team with 9.1 rebounds. He is a must-start when active and healthy. Hansbrough has been one of the team's top players off the bench, averaging 9.2 points and 5.1 rebounds. When healthy and active, Hansbrough is a decent producer for a rookie but should not be active outside of deeper formats.

Analysis: Hansbrough has not reached double digits in scoring in three of his past five games, but this was the first time during that span that he played more than 30 minutes. He has been inconsistent in his rookie season, scoring only two points against Boston in his previous game. He remains just a low-end option for now, but is worth owning in long-term keeper formats.
News: Pacers F Tyler Hansbrough had 9 points with 6 rebounds in Saturday's game at the Spurs. He has been held under 10 points in three of his last five games.
Analysis: Hansbrough has shown some flashes of potential in his rookie season, but he is not a Fantasy option yet because of his inconsistency. He's worth taking a flier on and stashing away, but we don't recommend activating him yet.
News: Pacers rookie PF Tyler Hansbrough is surprising some people with his game early on in his first season in the NBA with Indiana. The Pacers beat the Nets on Friday night and, one game after notching his first career double-double, Psycho-T recorded a new career high for points with 21 in under 25 minutes off the bench. Hansbrough shot 8 for 18 from the field, grabbed seven rebounds and even stole three balls.
Analysis: Hansbrough is playing more and more minutes off the bench with Roy Hibbert struggling. Hibbert played well on Friday also but the two certainly can compliment each other. Psycho-T set new career highs for shots attempted and shots made on Friday and that means the Pacers are trusting him more in the offense. He's owned in 30 percent of Fantasy leagues but if he's available in your deeper format, he's definitely worth grabbing. It seems he's learning quickly on the job.
News: Indiana PF Tyler Hansbrough played 22 minutes and picked up his first career double-double on Wednesday in a loss to the Blazers. Psycho-T scored 13 points on 4 of 14 shooting and grabbed 11 rebounds. He added three assists.
Analysis: Hansbrough is shooting under 38 percent on the season but is averaging over seven points and four boards in his first 15 games. He will definitely gain Fantasy value as the year goes on. For now, he's just low-end and more worth owning for his upside.
News: Pacers rookie PF Tyler Hansbrough, who left Friday's game with a bruised knee, returned to the lineup Monday at Golden State. He scored four points in 10 minutes off the bench.
Analysis: Hansbrough has decent scoring and rebounding potential, but the Pacers are working him into the mix slowly, making him not worth your time in Fantasy right now. Keep an eye on him, though.
News: Pacers F Tyler Hansbrough left Friday's game against the Mavs with a bruised knee in the third quarter and did not return. He is questionable for Monday's game at Golden State.
Analysis: Hansbrough is still getting limited minutes but is making the most out of them. Keep him reserved until his minutes and numbers are a little more consistent but it seems he's headed in the right direction. Hopefully this bruised knee won't keep him out long. The safe play is to keep him reserved for Fantasy Week 6 (Nov. 30-Dec. 6).
News: Indiana PF Tyler Hansbrough looked healthy on Wednesday against the Knicks. He got his most minutes in a while with 21 off the bench and went 5 of 10 for 14 points. He added five rebounds, three assists and a block.
Analysis: Hansbrough is still getting limited minutes but is making the most out of them. He's averaging nine points and five boards over his last five games and Wednesday was his best yet. Keep him reserved until his minutes and numbers are a little more consistent but it seems he's headed in the right direction.
News: The Pacers' official website reports that despite the fact that Tyler Hansbrough reported no physical issues after his impressive debut (13 points, five rebounds in 14 minutes), he will remain on limited minutes for "a number of weeks," according to coach Jim O'Brien, adding, "He's not out of the woods yet."
Analysis: The report adds Hansbrough did not practice Tuesday but that was a scheduled day off. He has some nice upside and is worth taking a flier on in deeper leagues, though his results could be erratic if his playing time remains limited.
News:Tyler Hansbrough took a verbal jab from a fellow ex-North Carolina Tarheel after committing his first NBA foul. "This ain't Carolina, T!" Antawn Jamison yelled from Washington's bench. Hansbrough spent his remaining minutes making it look just like Carolina. He shot more free throws than anyone else, made the hustle plays that made him famous in college and helped the Pacers beat the Wizards 102-86 on Friday night. Hansbrough finished with 13 points in 14 minutes in his pro debut. "It was a lot of hard work and things to get to this stage, but I put that all behind me when I got out there," he said. "It felt great. Just a relief to get out there and kind of move forward from this injury thing."
Analysis: The first-round draft pick missed the preseason and the first four regular-season games with a right shin injury. When asked if he was surprised by his strong performance, a perplexed Hansbrough said "No," then offered perspective. "Just expecting the best and see what happens," he said. "I didn't know what to expect." Pacers coach Jim O'Brien got exactly what he wanted from his rookie, especially with starting power forward Troy Murphy out with an injured back. "A little rusty in a lot of areas, but he's going to be in the attack mode at the offense and defensive end, he's going to go after every rebound," O'Brien said. "I'm very pleased with him. I think he's going to be a heck of an NBA player." Fantasy owners should not yet get Hansbrough active as the Pacers play only two games in Week 3 (Nov. 9-15). He is just a low-end option until he can prove himself at the NBA level on a consistent basis.
News: Pacers F Tyler Hansbrough (shin) is expected to make his NBA debut in Friday's game against Washington, according to the team's official website. He is expected to play limited minutes, however, after missing all of training camp, the preseason and the first four regular-season games rehabbing a stress reaction in his right shin that dates back to his senior season at North Carolina. "If he comes in (Friday) morning and has reacted well to what he did today, he'll get some minutes," Jim O'Brien said after practice Thursday.
Analysis: The coach has cautioned fans to have modest expectations of the first-round pick from North Carolina, at least initially. He will be limited to no more than 15 minutes and is new to the system, his teammates and the league. Fantasy owners may not get a real taste of what he can offer for the first couple of weeks and he should not be activated just yet.
News: The Indianapolis Star reports Pacers coach Jim O'Brien said rookie forward Tyler Hansbrough could make his season debut Friday against the Washington Wizards as long as he has no setbacks in practice this week. Hansbrough has been sidelined since July with a shin injury. He is not expected to play in Tuesday's game against Denver.
Analysis: Keep an eye on Hansbrough leading up to Friday's game and see if he's healthy enough to return. The safe bet is wait and see how he performs in game action before considering to use him in any leagues. At best he will be a No. 4 Fantasy forward this season.
News: Indiana was without rookie PF Tyler Hansbrough on Friday against the Heat. He continues to work his way back from a right shin injury. He may return shortly but is considered questionable for Tuesday against Denver.
Analysis: Hansbrough is a sleeper that could end up having a breakout rookie season, but he'll need to hit the court first. He is an injury risk for Fantasy Week 2 (Nov. 2-8) but isn't a recommended option until he proves himself at the NBA level.
News: Indiana was without rookie PF Tyler Hansbrough in the season opener against the Hawks on Wednesday. He continues to work his way back from a right shin injury. He may return shortly.
Analysis: There is some sleeper potential here, but Hansbrough won't be worth anything more than a very low-end Fantasy option as a rookie.
News: The Pacers are expected to play without starter Mike Dunleavy (knee), first-round draft pick Tyler Hansbrough (shin), backup guard Travis Diener (toe) and free agent guard Earl Watson (personal reasons) when they host Chicago in their preseason opener Friday night. Starting forward Troy Murphy is listed as questionable with a sprained left ankle.
Analysis: The team said on July 31 that Hansbrough would be out for up to two months, though Hansbrough wasn't sure what his timetable was. He is expected to be ready to play in some preseason games and should be fine for the start of the regular season. There is some sleeper potential here, but Hansbrough won't be worth anything more than a very late-round Fantasy pick as a rookie.
News: The Associated Press reports that Tyler Hansbrough (shin) was wearing a large black walking boot Sunday at the NBA rookie photo shoot to protect a right shin injury that could keep him out through the start of training camp. The team said on July 31 he would be out for up to two months, though Hansbrough wasn't sure what his timetable was. "I felt good about it," he said. "For me it was just an opportunity to learn some of the offenses, some of the things that we like to do and run, and it kind of gave me a chance to learn some stuff besides just trying to cram it before the season."
Analysis: Hansbrough didn't seem particularly concerned Sunday, according to the report. Doubts about his ability to make the transition were the reason some forecasts had him going perhaps 10 picks lower than where he ended up at the 13th spot. There is some sleeper potential here, but Hansbrough won't be worth anything more than a very late-round Fantasy pick.
News:Tyler Hansbrough could miss up to two months with a right shin injury, but the Indiana Pacers believe their first-round draft pick will be healthy enough for the start of the season. The Pacers did not provide details of the injury Friday other than to say the 6-foot-9 forward is expected to miss six to eight weeks ahead of the season. The NBA regular season begins Oct. 27.
Analysis: Indiana said Hansbrough hurt the shin last season, his final year at North Carolina. The Pacers took Hansbrough at No. 13 overall in last month's draft and signed him to a three-year contract. There is some sleeper potential here, though many people don't feel he will be able to adjust to the NBA game. Keep an eye on his development.
News:Tyler Hansbrough, the 13th pick by Indiana, scored 23 points, hit two 3-pointers and led the Pacers to a 91-88 victory in summer-league action Tuesday against Oklahoma City. "It's not really about showing for me," said Hansbrough, who has 40 points and nine rebounds in two games. "It's about getting a feel for what we like to do and how we run things. I'm still trying to expand my game. The Pacers, all their guys can shoot, so I'm really working on that."
Analysis: Hansbrough took about 250 shots a day from 3-point range earlier this year and it looked like it paid off. He nailed both of his 3-point attempts against the Thunder. Hansbrough takes offense to anyone who questioned his long-range shooting ability heading into the draft. He made just 12 3-pointers in four years at North Carolina. "I didn't need to go out and shoot 3s," he said. "I just dominated inside." This "new" wrinkle in his game could allow his transition to the NBA to be smoother as his lack of NBA size will hurt his ability to dominate in the paint. There is some sleeper potential here, though many people don't feel he will be able to adjust to the NBA game. Keep an eye on his development.
News: The Pacers selected North Carolina power forward Tyler Hansbrough with the 13th pick in Thursday's NBA Draft. Hansbrough is the all-time leading scorer in ACC history.
Analysis: Hansbrough may find it tough to have the same kind of success at the NBA level because he is undersized for a power forward at the NBA level at 6-9. He could make up for his lack of size with his effort and hustle, however, and Hansbrough could be a sleeper for Fantasy purposes because many people will be writing him off. He'll be worth a late-round pick in Fantasy this season for deeper leagues, but is likely going to be waiver wire fodder.
