(7/7/2015) Trail Blazers guard Gerald Henderson underwent a left hip debridement arthroscopy Tuesday, the team announced. Henderson is expected to be ready when training camp begins.

(6/24/2015) The Trail Blazers are on the verge of finalizing a deal that would send forward Nicolas Batum to the Hornets, sources told Yahoo Sports.

In exchange for the Batum, the Blazers would receive guard Gerald Henderson and forward Noah Vonleh.

Batum went from averaging 13.0 points during the 2013-14 season to just 9.4 this past season. Henderson averaged 12.1 points in 80 games for the Hornets last season.

Henderson has spent his entire six-year career playing for the Hornets. In 80 games last season, Henderson averaged 12.1 points and 3.4 rebounds.

Henderson shot 11 of 18 from the field.

(3/21/2015) Hornets guard Gerald Henderson led his team with 20 points in Friday night's 101-91 loss to the Kings. 

Henderson shot 8 of 16 from the field against Sacramento and made four of his five free-throw attempts. Henderson also totaled five rebounds and recorded one steal in 25 minutes of playing time. 

This is the second time in the past four games that Henderson has scored 20. 


Hornets' Henderson, Jefferson score 19 each in win over Nets

(3/4/2015) Hornets center Al Jefferson and guard Gerald Henderson scored 19 points apiece in Wednesday's 115-91 win over the Nets. 

Jefferson shot 8-of-16 from the field, posted six rebounds and recorded three steals in 25 minutes. Henderson shot 7-of-11, made a three-pointer, brought down two rebounds and notched three assists. 

For both Jefferson and Henderson, this is the fifth game in a row they've posted double figures in scoring. 

Forward Marvin Williams scored 18 points for the Hornets in the win.

(2/7/2015) Hornets guard Gerald Henderson scored 17 points on 5 of 17 shooting from the field and dished out nine assists in Charlotte's 89-81 loss to the Sixers Saturday.

Henderson, who also shot 2 of 3 from 3-point range, also grabbed five rebounds. He came up one assists shy of his first double-double of the season and added one steal to his totals.

(2/5/2015) Gerald Henderson scored a game-high 27 points on 10-of-15 shooting as the Hornets beat the visting Wizards 94-87, Thursday. 

Henderson made the Hornets' first three baskets of the game and scored 13 of the team's first 19 points on 6-of-7 shooting. He posted his second-highest scoring total of the year, behind only his 31-point game at the Raptors on Jan. 8.  

Henderson added four rebounds, two blocks and two steals as the Hornets won their third straight and fifth consecutive home game. The Hornets play next Saturday at Philadelphia.

(1/17/2015) Hornets guard Gerald Henderson scored 20 points on 6 of 19 shooting in Charlotte's 80-71 win over the Pacers Saturday. Despite struggling from the field, Henderson made up for it at the free throw line, going 8 of 9. 

With Kemba Walker and Al Jefferson out of the lineup, Henderson led the team in points, the second time in his last four where he scored at least 20 points. He added four rebounds and four assists on the night.

(12/27/2014) Hornets guard Lance Stephenson will be held out of Saturday’s game against the Magic and Monday’s game vs. the Bucks, reports the Charlotte Observer.

Stephenson has missed the last five games while dealing with a pelvic strain. Guard Gerald Henderson has been replacing Stephenson in the starting lineup.

The Hornets were 5 1/2-point favorites over the Magic, but are now 6-point favorites.

(12/20/2014) Hornets coach Steve Clifford told reporters Saturday guard Lance Stephenson will most likely be out through Christmas.

Stephenson is dealing with a pelvis sprain and he would miss the Hornets’ next three games if he doesn't play until after Christmas. His first opportunity to play after Christmas would be Dec. 26 at Oklahoma City.

Guard Gerald Henderson replaced Stephenson in the starting lineup during Friday’s win over the 76ers and scored 11 points and dished out four assists in 32 minutes.

(10/1/2014) Hornets coach Steve Clifford said Monday he plans to start Marvin Williams at power forward ahead of Cody Zeller and Lance Stephenson will start at either small forward or shooting guard, according to the Charlotte Observer.

With center Al Jefferson and point guard Kemba Walker also securing spots in the starting lineup, the final spot will come down to shooting guard Gerald Henderson or small forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist.

Clifford is really excited about the potential Stephenson brings to the lineup.

"I’ve been around Kobe (Bryant) and (Tracy) McGrady and (Latrell) Sprewell in his prime. Lance isn’t there yet," Clifford said. "Lance was 13 1/2 (ppg.) last year. He’s young and talented. His efficiency shooting the ball, getting his turnovers down (need to improve). For us to talk about him as a legitimate All-Star player who we can play through, that’s the jump he needs to make and he knows that."
