News: The Clippers resigned forward DaJuan Summers to another 10-day contract on Monday. He was already signed to a 10-day that went unnoticed.
Analysis: Summers has absolutely no Fantasy value to speak of with the Clippers. He is pure and simple roster depth.
News: Former Hornets forward DaJuan Summers signed with the Maine Red Claws of the NBA Development League on Monday, according to ESPN. Summers was waived by New Orleans last February after appearing in 15 games with the team.
Analysis: Summers will attempt to resurrect his floundering NBA career at the lower level, but he was not a consistent Fantasy producer during his limited time in the league. He connected on more than 41 percent of his attempts only once in three seasons during his previous NBA tenure that started with Detroit. Leave him on waivers in all Fantasy formats.
News: The Hornets have waived SF DaJuan Summers and guard Carldell Johnson on Tuesday, according to league sources.
Analysis: Summers was averaging 13.9 minutes per game over 15 games for the Hornets this season. He was averaging 4.5 points and 1.5 rebounds. He has almost no Fantasy value remaining now that he's been waived.
News: Hornets coach Monty Williams made a lineup change Wednesday against the Suns, replacing Marco Belinelli with DaJuan Summers. You want to try to inject something that you havent had, Williams told The Times-Picayune. Maybe put a guy in a different position where he can succeed. Hopefully have your team play the same style, but give somebody else an opportunity to inject something into the team that hasnt been injected.
Analysis: The Hornets lost to Phoenix, while Summers scored five points in 15 minutes. Apparently he didn't provide the spark Williams was looking for. Summers might bounce back to the bench shortly, but leave him on Fantasy waivers until he starts producing better numbers.
News: With the injuries to Trevor Ariza and the struggles of Al-Farouq Aminu, the New Orleans Hornets put third-year F DaJuan Summers into the starting lineup on Friday to try to give a boost to a stagnant starting squad. Summers responded by putting up his second consecutive double digit scoring performance, putting up 11 points on five-of-eight shooting. Summers also had a rebound, an assist and a steal 27 minutes before fouling out with two minutes remaining in the game.
Analysis: Summers outplayed Aminu yet again and should remain the starter as long as Ariza is out. At his current pace, he could be viewed as a low-end option for depth in deep Fantasy leagues, but Ariza could be back any day, which limits his long term potential. The 23-year old is an intriguing talent and the Hornets obviously like what he brings, but unless he can keep his starting spot, he should not be viewed as a useful option in Fantasy leagues.
News: One night after making his Hornets debut, F Dajuan Summers got into double-figures, scoring 10 points in 19 minutes off the bench on Wednesday against Oklahoma City. Summers shot four-of-eight from the field and one-of-three from three-point range while grabbing two rebounds in the 95-85 loss to the Thunder.
Analysis: Summers is in his first year with the Hornets and should see some decent playing time off the bench. But since he averages just 3.2 points in his career, leave him on waivers in all Fantasy formats until he proves worthy of picking up. A handful more of double-digit scoring nights could push him towards Fantasy relevance.
News: After missing the first eight games due to a knee injury, Hornets F DaJuan Summers made his 2011-12 debut on Monday night against the Nuggets. He played 24 minutes off the bench, scoring four points with three rebounds in the 94-81 win. He went 2 for 4 from the floor but missed his lone attempt from downtown. Summers also finished with two assists.

News: New Orleans coach Monty Williams said Friday that F DaJuan Summers (knee) could return to the lineup as early as next week, according to the team's official website. Summers has yet to play this season and was already ruled out for Friday's game against Denver.
Analysis: With Hornets F Trevor Ariza expected to miss a couple more games, Williams could have an opportunity for an increase playing time -- if he's healthy. The third-year forward is averaging 3.2 points per game in 66 games -- all with Detroit -- during his brief NBA career. Fantasy owners should track his progress, but leave him on waivers for now.
News: Hornets F DaJuan Summers was unable to play in Monday's season opener against the Suns due to a hyperextended knee.
Analysis: Summers' knee injury isn't being considered serious, but he was on crutches during the preseason and inactive on Monday. Fantasy owners should keep an eye on his status moving forward to see when he will be able to get back on the court. Still, the 23-year-old only appeared in 21 games last season and averaged 3.0 points and 0.5 rebounds over those contests. Summers is a player who should be avoided in all Fantasy formats at this point.
News: Pistons F DaJuan Summers hyperextended his knee in practice last week and is unlikely to play in Detriots preseason game against the Grizzlies on Sunday. He is being considered day to day.

Fantasy owners should keep an eye on his status moving forward to see when he will be able to get back on the court. News: Pistons center DaJuan Summers was active for Monday's contest against the Cavaliers after being ruled inactive for Sunday's tilt against the Charlotte with flu-like symptoms. However, he did not enter the contest and was listed as a DNP-coaches decision on the box score.
Analysis: he Pistons are loaded at the forward position, which has left Summers as the odd-man out of the rotation. He only appeared in 21 games on the season and averaged 3.0 points and 0.5 rebounds over those contests. Unless his role drastically changes heading into next season, Summers looks to be a player to avoid in almost all formats heading into to 2011.

Analysis: Summers hasn't seen the court very much of late as he has been the odd man out of the Pistons' very crowded frontcourt. The 23-year-old has only appeared in seven games since the All-Star break and has averaged just 3.4 points in those contests. Fantasy owners should can continue to ignore Summers in all formats, even when healthy.
News: After appearing in 44 games during his rookie season, Pistons forward DaJuan Summers hasn't seen much of the court during his sophomore campaign. But in his 15th appearance of the year Friday night against the Sixers, he not only played much more than usual, but he started. The rarity was the result of a major lineup shift after several Pistons players missed shootaround, and they were benched as a result. Summers took advantage, notching a season-high 10 points on 3 of 8 shooting. He added a pair of rebounds, an assist and a steal in a career-high 39 minutes of playing time.
Analysis: Summers is apart of a logjam at the forward position, which has left him as the odd man out on most nights. However, with the players missing shootaround, he took advantage of the opportunity Friday. With several questions surrounding exactly why those players failed to make it on time, Summers may be in line for more playing time than expected. The situation is expected to clear up sooner rather than later. Though it should be monitored, Summers is not a player who should be claimed off of the waiver wire in the majority of Fantasy formats even if major disciplinary action is taken.
News: After appearing in 44 games during his rookie season, Pistons forward DaJuan Summers hasn't seen much of the court during his sophomore campaign. Summers has only appeared in 14 games this year, and is averaging 3.0 points and 0.4 rebounds in those contests. His most productive game came back in December, when he scored a season-high eight points in a win over the Hornets.
Analysis: The Pistons are loaded at the forward position, which has left Summers as the odd-man out thus far. He continues to lose minutes to the likes of Austin Daye, Charlie Villanueva as well as Greg Monroe and doesn't appear to be on the verge of cracking the rotation anytime soon. As long as he remains stuck on the bench, Fantasy owners should continue ignore the 23-year-old in all formats.
News: Detroit SF DaJuan Summers was active on Tuesday night in Houston with Charlie Villanueva missing the game for personal reasons, reports NBA.com. Summers has played in four games this year and is averaging 4.0 points, 1.0 rebound and half a 3-pointer per game over 8.8 minutes on the floor.
Analysis: Summers was only active Tuesday because the Pistons were down Villanueva. He is going to be a healthy DNP-CD most nights and has no Fantasy value at this time.
News: Pistons second-year forward DaJuan Summers shot 6 for 8 from the field and made 2 of his 3 foul shots in Friday's preseason game with the Bucks. Summers finished with 15 points, three rebounds and two steals for Detroit.
Analysis: Summers averaged 3 points, 1 rebound and 0.4 assists per game in his 44 games. He didn't have a big role as a rookie and will likely see a limited role this season as well. Detroit has a lot of depth at the forward position, so Summers will have to carve out minutes this year. He shouldn't be viewed as anything but a late-round pick on Draft Day. He will be more valuable in deeper daily Fantasy leagues as opposed to standard 12-team formats.
News: For the second straight game, Pistons F DaJuan Summers scored 12 points. This time, he did it in a loss to the Pacers on Friday. Summers shot 4 of 7 from the floor while adding four rebounds and a block.
Analysis: Summers is averaging just 6.3 points and 1.3 rebounds over his last five contests. He only provides Fantasy value in the deepest of leagues at this point.
News: The Pistons selected forward DaJuan Summers with the 35th pick in the NBA Draft. He averaged 13.6 points and 4.1 rebounds as a junior for Georgetown last season.
Analysis: Summers has decent long-term potential, but he is not expected to get a lot of playing time as a rookie for Detroit. He won't be worth drafting in most Fantasy leagues.
