Kings' Omri Casspi doubles up Clippers in losing effort Saturday

(2/22/2015) Kings forward Omri Casspi scored 11 points on 4 of 8 shooting from the field and grabbed a season-high 17 rebounds in Sacramento's 126-99 loss to the Clippers Saturday.

It was Casspi's first double-double of the season and second double digit rebounding effort in his last two games. Prior to that, Casspi had produced a double-double since January of last season.


Cousins, Gay among Kings probables vs. Nets

(1/20/2015) The Kings have listed center DeMarcus Cousins (ankle), point guard Ramon Sessions (back) and small forwards Rudy Gay (shoulder, knee) and Omri Casspi (eye, knee) as probable for Wednesday's home game against the Nets.

Cousins returned to action Sunday after missing one game due to a right ankle sprain and played 38 minutes while scoring 22 points and grabbing 19 rebounds. Sessions has been sidelined since Dec. 22 due to a lower back sprain and was listed as probable to play Monday before sitting out.

Gay was able to play Friday and Sunday after missing Thursday's game, but he's still suffering from a left shoulder strain and a left knee capsule sprain. Casspi has seen limited action in each of the last three games and is dealing with an eye abrasion and left knee bone contusion.

The Kings also ruled power forward Carl Landry out for Wednesday's game due to a right wrist sprain. It'll be his fourth consecutive game missed.

Sacramento is a 5-point favorite at home against Brooklyn.

Casspi played just one minute in Saturday's game before leaving with an eye injury. Despite the issue, he's expected to play on Monday. Casspi is averaging 7.4 points and 3.3 rebounds per game.

(1/16/2015) Kings forward Omri Casspi has been upgraded to probable for Friday's game against the Heat, the team announced. Casspi, who has missed the last six games for Sacramento with a knee injury, was able to participate in full for Thursday's practice.

Casspi has played in 25 games this season, averaging 7.9 points and 3.6 rebounds.

The Kings are currently 3-point favorites against the Heat.

Center DeMarcus Cousins is questionable to play against the Bucks. He has been sidelined since Nov. 26 while dealing with viral meningitis.

(12/12/2014) An MRI on the injured knee of Kings small forward Omri Casspi revealed that he's dealing with inflammation but apparently nothing more serious, the Sacramento Bee reports.

Casspi, who took a shot for the inflammation, missed the team's third straight game Thursday. The Kings square off with the Pistons Saturday before playing again Tuesday and next Thursday.
