Victor Claver could return to Europe if minutes don't increase

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(12/1/2013) Trail Blazers forward Victor Claver will consider a return to Europe if he continues to see a limited role, Comcast SportsNet reports.

"I think every player wants to play," Claver said. "That’s what we do. Of course I want to play and feel important to a team. I’m not asking to play 30 or 40 minutes, but I want to feel like I’m part of a team and that I can help the team win. For the moment, this season, I’m not doing it. But last season, like half of the season, I felt like I was doing it and I want to recover that competition everyday. Of course, if I’m still not playing [couple years from now], I will have to think of other options because I’m not going to be on the bench. I’m not a coach. I want to play. That’s what everybody wants to do."

Claver has played a total of four minutes in three games this season. As a rookie last season, he averaged 16.6 minutes over 49 games (16 starts).

Claver gets back at it

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(3/28/2013) Blazers guard Victor Claver was back on the floor as expected Wednesday against the Nets. He had missed the previous nine games due to an ankle injury. Claver scored two points in eight minutes in the game, with no other statistics accrued in a 111-93 loss.
