He scored two points and grabbed four rebounds in his 15 minutes of action on Friday night against the 76ers. He shot 1 for 4 from the floor, missing his lone 3-point attempt. Win is Taylor-made

(2/24/2011) Sacramento guard Jermaine Taylor recorded a career-high 21 points and five rebounds in the Kings' 111-105 victory at Orlando on Wednesday night. Taylor, who played collegiality at nearby Central Florida, started again and drained 9 of 12 from the field, including his lone 3-point attempt. "It felt real good," he said. "As long as I'm in the starting spot, I'm going to take advantage of it and go out there and have fun and play."

Taylor gets some confidence

(2/17/2011) Sacramento played without Tyreke Evans on Wednesday giving second-year guard Jermaine Taylor an opportunity to start. Taylor, who was acquired by the Kings in a Dec. 15 trade with the Rockets, started his second game of the season on Wednesday. "Now I know what to expect," Taylor told The Sacramento Bee. "I know what he wants to do. I know how the team plays. The first game I was just getting used to it. I didn't know when to shoot, what shots to take." Taylor scored a career-high 17 points in the game, pacing the Kings. Coach Paul Westphal said he ran some plays early on to get Taylor going and it worked. He had 12 points in the first quarter. "It's funny (Dallas coach) Rick Carlisle was looking over at the bench going who's this guy?" Westphal said. "He wasn't in their scouting report. He really had a fine game for us, especially in the first half."

Taylor paces Kings in loss

Dallas went on to beat Sacramento, 116-100, despite Taylor's career night.
