Report: Houston acquires Jason Terry from Sacramento

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(9/1/2014) The Associated Press reports that the Rockets and the Kings have reached an agreement to a trade that will sent guard Jason Terry to Houston in exchange for two second-round draft picks and guard/forward Alonzo Gee.

Terry scored only 4.5 points per contest in 35 games with Brooklyn before being shipped to Sacramento. He did not suit up for the Kings after the trade because of a left knee injury.

Wizards, Rockets, Pelicans finalize three-team deal

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(7/14/2014) The Wizards, Rockets and Pelicans have agreed to a three-team trade involving Trevor Ariza, Alonzo Gee, Omer Asik and Omri Casspi, David Aldridge of NBA.com reports on Sunday.

The Pelicans will receive Asik, Casspi and $1.5 million cash from Houston. The Rockets will get Ariza, Gee and a 2015 protected first-round pick from the Pelicans. The Wizards will receive Melvin Ely 's unguaranteed contract and a $8.5 million trade exception.

Cavs send Alonzo Gee to New Orleans

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(7/12/2014) The Cavaliers completed a trade sending forward Alonzo Gee to the Pelicans Saturday, in exchange for a second-round pick.

Gee is expected to either be traded or waived by the Pelicans in the coming days, thanks to his $3.2 million unguaranteed contract for next season, according to The Times-Picayune.

Alonzo Gee solid in rare start

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(3/18/2014) The Cavaliers received a rare solid outing from forward Alonzo Gee Tuesday, with Luol Deng sidelined against the Heat.

Gee played 36 minutes en route to his first double-digit scoring performance since early February. He scored 12 points on 5 og 11 shooting, and added three rebound, two assists and two steals in the 100-96 loss.

Gee has gone from a starter to a rarely used reserve since the acquisition of Deng, and is averaging just 3.2 points per game while appearing in just 51 of the team's first 68 games.

Alonzo Gee does little with rare playing time

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(2/11/2014) Cavaliers forward Alonzo Gee played 15 minutes off the bench Tuesday against the Kings and made little impact in a 109-99 win. Gee scored four points on 2 of 5 shooting, while adding one assist.

Gee has been in and out of the rotation for much of the season, appearing in just 37 of the team's 52 games. He is averaging 3.4 points and 2.5 rebounds per game, and has appeared in just two of six games in the month of February.

Alonzo Gee's struggles continue

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(12/6/2013) Cavaliers forward Alonzo Gee started, but played just 11 minutes Friday, in a 108-89 loss to the Hawks. He was scoreless in his 11 minutes, missing both of his field-goal attempts and adding just one rebound.

Gee has done little all season long, and is now averaging 3.7 points per game through the first 19 games.

Cavaliers getting nothing on the wings

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(11/8/2013) The Cavaliers' biggest question entering the season was the play of their small forward options, and the first six games of the season have done little to lessen any concerns. Earl Clark has started each game so far, he has been no more productive than Alonzo Gee, though neither has been particularly good.

Clark scored just four points on 2 of 9 shooting in 16 minutes Friday against the 76ers, with just three rebounds and two steals. Gee played even less, and has an even smaller impact, scoring two points on 1 of 2 shooting in his 13 minutes, with a sole rebound added in a 94-79 loss.

Clark is averaging 4.0 points in 17.0 minutes per game, while shooting just 30.3 percent from the field. Gee is averaging 4.7 points in 22.0 minutes.

Cavaliers sorting out wing rotation

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(10/22/2013) The Cavaliers still have three preseason games remaining on the schedule, which is good for them, because they still have some issues to sort out in the rotation. As The News Herald & The Morning Journal noted Tuesday, the team is still trying to determine whether Earl Clark or Alonzo Gee will start at small forward when the regular season opens.

"Prior to tonight, they were close statistically," Brown said. "(Gee) played like a small forward should play. I'm going to keep looking at the different scenarios.
It's great to have healthy completion. I’m excited to have the depth we have."

Each player has started three games so far, with Gee averaging 6.0 points and 2.0 rebounds per game in 17.3 minutes, while Clark is putting up 5.4 points and 2.6 rebounds in 20.8 minutes.

Clark could also see playing time at power forward this season, and the two will likely split time pretty evenly at the three.

Cavs' starting SF spot up for jobs

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(10/5/2013) Cavaliers coach Mike Brown told FOX Sports Ohio Friday that there is no frontrunner for the starting small forward job. Earl Clark, Alonzo Gee and C.J. Miles all have a chance to win the job.

Clark signed a two-year deal in the offseason after averaging 7.3 points and 5.5 boards on 44.0 percent shooting with the Lakers. Gee started all 82 games last season for the Cavaliers while Miles started 13 of the 65 games played last season.

Gee looking for strong finish

by Adam Moore | CBSSports.com
(4/8/2013) Cavaliers forward Alonzo Gee turned in one of his better offensive games of the season during Sunday's win over the Magic. Gee finished with 19 points in the 91-85 win -- his highest scoring output since Feb. 9. He went 7 of 12 from the field, including 3 of 6 from downtown and also added seven rebounds and two assists to his stat line, while logging 32 minutes of game action.
