Trevor Booker wants to return to Utah next season

(4/16/2015) Jazz forward Trevor Booker did not hesitate when asked Thursday if he wants to return to the team next season.

"Of course I want to be back," Booker said, per the Salt Lake Tribune. "I got a sense that they want me back."

In 79 games this season, Booker averaged 7.2 points and 5.0 rebounds.

(4/12/2015) Jazz forward Trevor Booker scored a career-high 36 points on 12 of 15 shooting from the field, including 4 of 4 from 3-point range, in Utah's 111-105 win over the Trail Blazers Saturday.

Booker, who also shot 8 of 14 from the free throw line, also grabbed nine rebounds in the contest. It was just the fifth time in the last month and a half Booker scored in double figures. It was also the first time this season Booker scored over 20 points in a game.


Jazz F Derrick Favors (back) out for Saturday against Thunder

(3/28/2015) The Jazz have officially ruled out forward Derrick Favors (back spasms) for Saturday's game against the Thunder, the team announced.

Favors was listed as doubtful earlier in the day.

Favors has been dealing with the back spasms since Friday's game.

Forward Trevor Booker (6.6 points, 4.7 rebounds) will start in place of Favors.

Favors is second on the team with both 16.4 points and 8.3 rebounds per game this season.

(1/15/2015) The Jazz listed guard Rodney Hood as out for Friday’s game against the Lakers, reports the Salt Lake Tribune.

Hood is dealing with a foot injury. He was able to practice on a limited basis Thursday, but he is expected to miss his eighth straight game Friday.

Forward Trevor Booker missed Tuesday’s game against the Warriors due to a stomach flu. He was able to participate in Thursday's practice and is probable to play against the Lakers.

(1/13/2015) Jazz power forward Trevor Booker has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Warriors due to the stomach flu, the team announced.

Booker was listed as doubtful to play due to the illness, so his absence doesn't come as a surprise. He has averaged 7.5 points and 4.9 rebounds in 37 games.

Utah is an 8-point home underdog against Golden State Tuesday.

Booker is dealing with a stomach flu. In 37 games, Booker is averaging 7.5 points and 4.9 rebounds. Forward Jeremy Evans could see his role increased if Booker is ruled out.

Booker dealt with an ankle sprain in the preseason but was ready to serve as the team's sixth man Wednesday. The Jazz square off against the Mavericks Thursday.

Booker played 17 minutes before suffering the injury and did not return to the game. He scored four points on 1-of-5 shooting while adding three rebounds, three assists and one steal. The Jazz signed Booker to a three-year deal this offseason.

(7/15/2014) The Utah Jazz inked rebounding specialist Trevor Booker to a three-year deal worth $10 million, Yahoo Sports reports. 

Booker spent last season with the Wizards, averaging 6.8 points and 5.3 rebounds in 21.6 minutes per game. He'll slot in behind Derrick Favors at power forward for Utah.

(2/13/2014) Wizards forward Trevor Booker played 20 minutes off the bench Wednesday against the Rockets, nearly besting his total from the three previous games.

With the team's starting frontcourt in foul trouble, Booker played was called on for a bigger role. He did not make much of an impact in the box score, however, finishing with just six points 3 of 3 shooting, with three rebounds and a pair of assists in the 113-112 loss.

Booker has been productive at times, but does not have a consistent role. He is averaging just 6.3 points and 6.0 rebounds per game while appearing in 41 of the team's first 52 games.

Booker played 20 minutes in the overtime loss, and put up solid numbers off the bench. He scored nine points on 4 of 6 shooting, and added eight rebounds and a pair of assists, as the Wizards fell, 113-111.

Booker has been productive at this times season, but his playing time has been inconsistent. He is averaging 7.6 points and 7.3 rebounds in 22.0 minutes per game in the month of January.

Booker scored 10 points on 5 of 7 shooting from the field. He also contributed with nine rebounds and one block while logging 27 minutes of game action in a 120-98 defeat.

Booker has scored in double figures just five times this season, with four of them coming in December. He is averaging 7.0 points and 7.2 rebounds over his last five games played.

Booker started the second quarter and played for only five minutes before returning to the bench. He missed a 3-pointer with 10:56 remaining in the first half for his only attempt of the night. He is averaging 5.0 points through his first four games and appears to be out of the team's rotation at this point.
