Adrien grabs 10 boards

News: Charlotte forward Jeff Adrien played just 11 minutes on Wednesday in Indiana. He was quite effective on the boards with 10 rebounds. Adrien scored just two points on 1 of 4 shooting and chipped in with a block.
Analysis: The 27-year-old Adrien usually sees under 15 minutes per game. Averaging under five boards, Adrien simply had a good game on Wednesday as the Bobcats finish out the first half of the season. He has low-end value in all leagues.

Adrien doubles up for Bobcats

News: Bobcats forward Jeff Adrien posted the first double-double of his career on Monday night against the Bulls. He scored 14 points and hauled in 10 rebounds -- with five coming on the offensive glass -- in the 93-85 loss. He was an efficient 5 of 7 from the field and made 4 of 6 free throws while playing 35 minutes. Adrien also posted two blocks and an assist in the defeat.
Analysis: Adrien made his first start of the season Monday and came through with his best performance thus far. This should earn him more playing time so keep an eye on his progress going forward. Still, the 26-year-old has never been much of an option in Fantasy so continue to ignore Adrien in the majority of formats.

Adrien steps up for Bobcats

News: Charlotte forward Jeff Adrien was needed to play significant minutes on Monday in a road win over Chicago. Adrien played well over his 23 minutes on the floor. He scored nine points and grabbed a career-high 10 rebounds with three blocks for the Bobcats. Adrien went 3 for 5 from the field. He didn't even see minutes in the game prior against New Orleans.
Analysis: Adrien has been described as low maintenance because he doesn't expect to see a lot of minutes for the Bobcats. Maybe they should keep giving him time, however, considering Charlotte beat the Bulls handily with him on the floor. Still, until his playing time changes dramatically he will have low-end Fantasy value.

Houston waives Adrien

News: The Rockets waived forward Jeff Adrien on Tuesday. The move was done to make room to sign Greg Smith.
Analysis: Adrien made it into eight games for the Rockets this season. He averaged 2.6 points and 2.8 rebounds in those outings. Fantasy owners should continue to ignore him.

Warriors bring back Adrien

News: According to the Boston Globe, the Golden State Warriors agreed to a 10-day contract with Jeff Adrien. The Warriors waived Adrien back in December to make room for Acie Law. He returns to the team after they traded Brandan Wright and Dan Gadzuric to New Jersey for Troy Murphy.
Analysis: Adrien averaged 2.9 points and 3.3 rebounds in his 15 games of action for Golden State this season. The fact he's back in the NBA is good for him, but doesn't give him much Fantasy value. He can be left on waivers in all formats.

Warriors waive Adrien

News: The Golden State Warriors have signed guard Acie Law and waived forward Jeff Adrien. Adrien was playing around 10 minutes per game.
Analysis: Adrien was averaging 2.9 points and 3.3 rebounds in his 15 games of action this season. Until he's picked up by another team, the rookie forward is not worth owning in any Fantasy league.

Adrien nets first points

News: Warriors rookie Jeff Adrien scored his first NBA points on a tip-in with 4.2 seconds to play in the game. Golden State would lose to the Lakers, 107-83. The rookie also had two rebounds and two assists.
Analysis: Adrien saw action in a game that was already decided on Sunday. While he is on the team, he likely won't see much action for the Warriors. He is not a player to keep your eye on in Fantasy leagues right now.

Adrien kept around by Warriors

News: The Contra Costa Times reports that the Warriors have signed undrafted forward Jeff Adrien to a non-guaranteed deal. Adrien, from the University of Connecticut, saw action in all eight preseason games. He averaged 3.4 points and 4.8 rebounds in 9.8 minutes.
Analysis: Adrien finished the exhibition season with 20 offensive rebounds, tied for the team lead with center Andris Biedrins and forward David Lee. He will basically be the team's 15th man and is not expected to see enough playing time matter in Fantasy, however.

Adrien comes out of nowhere

News: After playing only three minutes in the preseason opener against the Clippers on Friday, Golden State gave rookie forward Jeff Adrien 23 minutes Sunday against the Kings. Adrien, a four-year player at UConn, responded by scoring 11 points on 5 of 6 shooting. Not only that, but he combined it with 15 rebounds for the double-double. The 6-foot-7 Adrien blocked a shot as well.
Analysis: Adrien spent four years under Jim Calhoun and graduated in 2009 averaging 13.6 points and 9.9 rebounds with 1.2 blocks per game his senior season. Adrien did not get drafted in 2009 and played with Leche Rio Bregan in Spain, appearing in 38 games and averaging 12.3 points and 7.7 rebounds per game. His background doesn't make him sound like an attractive option but if he can put together numbers like he did in Sunday's preseason game, Fantasy owners will be snatching him up quickly.
