(3/4/2015) Although Magic forward Tobias Harris is dealing with a sore knee, he has been cleared to play in Wednesday's game against the Suns, reports the Orlando Sentinel.

Harris has been dealing with a knee issue, which prevented from participating in all of Wednesday's shootaround. Harris had previously missed three games while dealing with the knee issue.

The Magic are 4-point favorites.

(3/4/2015) Magic forward Tobias Harris (knee), guard Evan Fournier (hip) and forward Aaron Gordon (ankle) were all limited in shootaround on Wednesday due to injuries. Point guard Luke Ridnour was unable to take part in shootaround due to a hamstring injury, per the team's official website.

Orlando will host Phoenix on Wednesday, and are 4 1/2-point underdogs, per VegasInsider.com.

(2/24/2015) After sitting out three games because of a sore right knee, Magic forward Tobias Harris was able to play 25 minutes in Sunday's contest and reported no problems with his knee, reports the team's official website.

With Harris not reporting any setbacks, Magic coach James Borrego said Harris will also play in Wednesday's game against the Heat. In 48 games, Harris is averaging 17.1 points and 6.5 rebounds.

It marks the third straight game Harris has missed due to soreness in his right knee. He was initially cleared to return to action Thursday but will sit out at least one more game.

Evan Fournier will draw the start in place of Harris Friday, according to the team's website. He has averaged more than 30 minutes over the last two games with Harris sidelined.

(2/11/2015) Magic small forward Tobias Harris was ruled out for Wednesday night's contest at home against the Knicks with a sore right knee, per the team's official website. Harris will now have missed two consecutive games with the ailment.

Maurice Harkless is expected to see an increase in minutes, while Aaron Gordon could be a candidate to start in Harris' place. This is Orlando's final game before the break. They'll return to action Feb. 20 against the Pelicans.

Orlando is a 4 1/2-point home favorite against New York.

Harris, who is averaging 22.5 points and 7.3 rebounds in his last four games, was not on the injury report earlier in the day for shootaround. Rookie Aaron Gordon will start in Harris' place. He is averaging 6.1 points and 3.4 rebounds in 21 games this season.

The Magic are currently 9 1/2-point underdogs against Washington.

(2/6/2015) Magic small forward Tobias Harris scored a career-high 34 points on 14 of 18 shooting, including 2 of 5 shooting from three-point range, in his team's 103-97 overtime win over the Lakers Friday.

Harris missed just one of his 13 shots from inside the arc to put together an outstanding shooting performance and key a win that brought his team's 10-game losing streak to an end and gives James Borrego a victory in his first game as interim coach.

''It was a huge win for J.B; I think everybody was pulling for him in his first game,'' Harris said after the game, per the Associated Press. ''He deserves it more than anybody. ... That's the challenge, our task right now: Can we turn it around or will we just lie down and roll over ourselves? I thought this was a step in the right direction.''

Harris also tallied seven rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in 45 minutes. The Magic move ahead to face the Bulls Sunday.

(1/29/2015) Magic small forward Tobias Harris suffered a knee injury in the third quarter of Thursday's game against the Bucks, the Orlando Sentinel reports.

Harris was able to gut out the injury for a while but went to the locker room in the fourth quarter to be examined. He played 21 minutes off the bench, scoring seven points on just 2 of 12 shooting while tallying five rebounds and one assist Thursday. The Magic have one day off before facing the Mavericks Saturday.


Report: Magic SF Tobias Harris wants to win a title for... the Knicks

(1/23/2015) Magic small forward Tobias Harris, a Long Island native, has the Knicks atop his free agency list this summer, an unnamed "close friend of Harris" told Marc Berman of the New York Post.

"He wants to win a championship with the Knicks," according to the source.

Harris has a $3.4 million qualifying offer this offseason. The Magic can match any offer if they wish to keep him around. Harris is averaging 18.0 points,. 6.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists through his first 38 games this season.

Harris will be facing his hometown team on Friday.

"It's always exciting," Harris said of facing the Knicks. "No place like home. Love being at home, playing at home in front of family and friends. It's going to be a good game."

Harris missed the team's previous five games with an ankle injury and played 25 minutes off the bench in his return Wednesday, adding five rebounds and one assist to his line. His next chance to play will come Friday in New York against the Knicks.
