Spurs rule Duncan, Ginobili, Leonard, Parker out vs. Mavs

by Sean d'Oliveira | CBSSports.com
(12/20/2014) The Spurs announced Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, Kawhi Leonard, and Tony Parker will not play Saturday at Dallas.

While Duncan and Ginobili will not play to rest, Leonard is dealing with a torn ligament in his right hand and Parker is nursing a hamstring injury. It will be the third straight game Leonard has missed due to the injury and the fifth straight for Parker.

Guard Cory Joseph is expected to start in Parker’s place. Joseph flirted with a triple-double during Friday’s loss to the Trail Blazers. Forward Kyle Anderson is expected to replace Leonard.

The Spurs are 11-point underdogs.

Joseph matched a season high in scoring while delivering the efficient shooting perfomance and was the only Spurs player to top 30 minutes of action, playing 33 minutes while racking up five assists, four rebounds and one steal. The Spurs get a few days off before facing the Jazz Tuesday, and Joseph would presumably make another start if Parker has to miss another game.
