(3/2/2012) Raptors center Jamaal Magloire was once again a non-factor during Friday night's contest against the Grizzlies. Magloire finished with just four points in the 102-99 loss as he connected on both of his field-goal attempts. He also added three rebounds to his stat line to go along with one steal and one block.

Magloire active over 15 minutes


(2/12/2012) Toronto C Jamaal Magloire looked rejuvenated at times on Sunday afternoon in a loss to the Lakers. Magloire only played 15 minutes in the game, but was highly active during his time on the floor. Magloire went 2 for 4 from the field to score four points as he added seven rebounds to finish tied for second on the team. Magloire added a blocked shot for the Raptors against the Lakers.

Magloire signs with Toronto


(12/9/2011) The Raptors signed Jamaal Magloire, making the center the team's first Canadian player in its 16-year history, on Friday. The 33-year-old Magloire, a 6-foot-11 Toronto native, has played 11 seasons in the NBA, averaging 7.5 points, 6.6 rebounds and 22.1 minutes in 646 regular-season games with the Charlotte/New Orleans, Milwaukee, Portland, New Jersey, Dallas and Miami. He was an All-Star in 2003-04 when he started all 82 games with New Orleans, averaging 13.6 points and 10.3 rebounds.

Magloire to become first Canadian Raptor?


(12/8/2011) In 16 years as an NBA franchise, the Raptors have never had a native Canadian don their uniform. That could be changing as soon as free agent players are able to sign with new teams on Friday, as C Jamaal Magloire, a native of Toronto, could join the team on a one-year deal for the veteran's minimum, according to The Toronto Star.

(10/8/2009) Miami Heat center Jamaal Magloire and Detroit's Jonas Jerebko have been suspended by the NBA for their altercation in a preseason game. Magloire was penalized two games for starting the altercation and striking Jerebko in the face with 5:04 left in the fourth quarter of Detroit's 87-83 victory on Monday. Jerebko was suspended one game for retaliating and hitting Magloire in the face.

(7/22/2009) Reserve Jamaal Magloire has re-signed with the Miami Heat, giving the team four centers under contract. Restricted free-agent center Joel Anthony re-signed Monday. The Heat also have starter Jermaine O'Neal and seldom-used Mark Blount. The Heat announced Wednesday they had reached an agreement with Magloire, an unrestricted free agent.

Magloire to miss at least six weeks


(10/11/2008) Heat center Jamaal Magliore will miss at least six weeks with a broken left hand, and could be sidelined even longer if surgery is required to repair the fracture. Magliore was injured in Miami's preseason overtime loss against New Jersey in Paris on Thursday. He returned to South Florida after the game, while the Heat remained behind for a rematch with the Nets on Sunday in London. "It's unfortunate what happened," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said in London on Saturday. "He was just starting to get into his rhythm. He got himself into great condition, lost a couple percent body fat, over 10 pounds. So it's unfortunate but we've got to move forward and now we get a look at the other guys, and they're ready to go."

Magloire signs with Miami


(9/2/2008) The Heat signed former All-Star center Jamaal Magloire on Tuesday, four days after agreeing to basic terms with the nine-year veteran. Magloire will likely compete with Mark Blount when training camp begins later this month for the starting center position. "This is an opportunity for me to re-energize my career," the 30-year-old Magloire said. "I love this game so much and the fact that I didn't play last year just makes me more vicious and more hungry to go out there and get the job done this year. The memories I have, it's all motivation now."

(3/4/2008) Mavericks center Jamaal Magloire, who was signed last week after being waived by New Jersey, made his Mavericks debut Monday night against the Jazz. The 6-11 center came into the game with 4:07 left in the first quarter and went scoreless.
