by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(5/5/2014) Clippers forward Hedo Turkoglu will miss the first two games of the Western Conference semifinals against Oklahoma City because of a hairline fracture of the transverse process in his lower back, ESPN Los Angeles reports. He sustained the injury in Game 5 of the opening round against the Warriors.

"They say day to day but I don't know what that actually means," head coach Doc Rivers said. "Just watching him move, he's not going to play in either of the first two games, that's for sure."

Game 3 is Friday in Los Angeles.

According to a Turkish television station, Turkoglu is not interest in playing in Europe, and will only listen to offers from NBA teams. The Lakers and Hawks are reportedly interested in signing the 34-year-old, who has played just 11 games since the end of the 2011-12 season.

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(1/2/2014) Magic forward Hedo Turkoglu remains confident he can still make a contribution in the NBA and is determined to relaunch his basketball career later this month, ESPN reports Tuesday.

Turkoglu played only 11 games last season and sat out training camp and preseason this year. He has yet to play a game for the Magic this season and Orlando intends to trade him or release him before Jan. 7. The Magic owe half of Turkoglu's $12 million expiring contract guaranteed this season. The team will be obligated to pay him $12 million instead of $6 million if they don't trade or release him by the Jan. 7 deadline.

(12/24/2013) The Orlando Sentinel reports that the Magic will intend to trade forward Hedo Turkoglu before Jan. 7.

Turkoglu played only 11 games last season and sat out training camp and preseason this year. He has yet to play a game for the Magic this season. The team will be obligated to pay him $12 million instead of $6 million if they don't trade or release him by Jan. 7.

Hedo Turkoglu will not return to Orlando

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(9/28/2013) Magic general manager Rob Hennigan confirmed the team's worst kept secret Friday at media day; forward Hedo Turkoglu is no longer with the team.

"Our organization has a great deal of respect for Hedo and the contributions he's made to the team over the years," Hennigan told the Orlando Sentinel. "We've made an organizational decision to move in a different direction. During the pendency of our buyout negotiations, we've mutually agreed to have Hedo remain with his family while we work toward an agreement."

A buyout has been reported since the end of last season, but this is the first time the team has commented on it. Turkoglu will not report to training camp, and is likely to be paid something less than the remaining $6 million guaranteed on the final year of his contract.

Turkoglu unlikely to return

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(6/27/2013) Magic general manager Rob Hennigan told the Orlando Sentinel Thursday he plans to meet with the agents of Hedo Turkoglu and Al Harrington after the draft, likely with the intention of working on a contract buyout. Turkoglu has $12 million remaining on his contract for the 2013-14 season, while Harrington has two years and $14.8 million remaining.

Turkoglu likely finished in Orlando

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(4/17/2013) Magic forward Hedo Turkoglu appeared in just 11 games this season, due to a combination of injuries and a league-mandated suspension, and it appears his days with the team are over. Prior to Wednesday's finale against Miami, Turkoglu told the Orlando Sentinel that he would be surprised if the team opts to bring him back next season. "I'd be surprised, man. I would be really surprised. It's not like something that I'll take personal at all," he said. "Sometimes, the business of basketball makes certain things happen. One of them is the way they're trying to get a new team, a new rebuilding situation. You have plenty of players in that position [at small forward]. I would love to [return], but I just don't see any reason for [them doing] it." Turkoglu is under contract for next season, but only half of the $12 million he is owed is guaranteed.

Turkoglu not getting any run

(4/10/2013) The Orlando Sentinel reports the Magic have no plans to play healthy veterans Hedo Turkoglu and Al Harrington for the rest of the season with their minutes going to younger players.
