Report: Knicks won't give Quincy Acy qualifying offer

(6/30/2015) The Knicks will not extend a qualifying offer to forward Quincy Acy, according to a report from Yahoo! Sports

Acy will not be an unrestricted free agent and can sign with any NBA team. During the 2014-15 season, Acy averaged 5.9 points and 4.4 rebounds in 18.9 minutes per game. 


Quincy Acy good to go for Knicks on Saturday

(3/14/2015) Knicks forward Quincy Acy missed Thursday's game due to personal reasons after he left to be with his sick mother. 

Acy was initially listed as questionable for Saturday's game at Golden State, but he told Fox reporter Tina Cervasio that everything was good at home, and he would be available for the game. 

Acy also said that the knee problem that had kept him out of two earlier games was also much better. 

The Knicks are 19.5-point underdogs on the road.

(3/12/2015) A personal issue will keep forward Quincy Acy out of Thursday's game at the Los Angeles Lakers, reports the team's official website. Acy had missed the last two games with a sore knee.

Meanwhile, guard Tim Hardaway Jr. is dealing with back spasms and is questionable. Coach Derek Fisher said Hardaway Jr. is moving better, but he isn't sure if he'll be available. Guard Shane Larkin and forward Cleanthony Early should see extended minutes if both players are out.

The Knicks are 6 1/2-point underdogs.

Hardaway Jr., who is dealing with lower back spasms, also missed Monday's game with the same injury. Acy, who has missed two of the last three games for New York, is dealing with a sore left knee.

The Knicks are currently 13 1/2-point underdogs.

It was a career-high in 3-point shots made for Acy, who said after the game the coaching staff is encouraging him to stretch his range out that far. He also said he's worked out in all summer.

Acy also added two steals and a rebound in 22 minutes of action.

(1/7/2015) As expected, the Knicks ruled forward Carmelo Anthony out of Wednesday’s game at Washington, reports ESPN New York.

It will be the fourth straight game he has missed while dealing with a sore knee. Anthony told reporters he hopes to return Jan. 15 against the Bucks in London.

During Anthony’s absence, forward Quincy Acy has seen his minutes increase. During Monday’s loss to the Grizzlies, Acy scored a season-high 19 points.

The Knicks are 12-point underdogs to the Wizards.

Acy, who has seen more minutes with both Amar'e Stoudemire and Carmelo Anthony out, shot 7 of 8 from the field and added 3 of 4 from the free throw line.

It was his first double-double of the season and his brief three-year career.

(11/21/2014) Knicks small forward Quincy Acy recently had a cortisone shot, but is still not fully recovered from a sprained right wrist, reports the New York Post. Acy returned to action Wednesday against the Pistons, but had a hard time catching passes because of the injury.

Acy is averaging 5.0 points and 5.9 rebounds through his first 10 games, including five starts for New York.

(8/6/2014) The Knicks and Kings pulled off a minor trade involving four players Thursday, USA Today reports.

The Kings will acquire guard Wayne Ellington and forward Jeremy Tyler in exchange for forwards Quincy Acy and Travis Outlaw, according to the report. The Kings will also receive a second-round pick in the 2016 draft.

The Kings are likely to waive Tyler, according to the report, and might not keep Ellington around for long either. The Knicks have opted to guarantee the $915,000 salary for Acy next season, while Outlaw enters the final season of a contract that will pay him $3 million for 2014-15.

Acy played 15 minutes in the game and scored five points on 2 of 2 shooting. He added five rebounds and one assists, while turning the ball over once in a 109-99 loss.

Acy is averaging 16.7 minutes per game in the month of February, with 3.7 points and 5.2 rebounds per game.

Acy scored just 3 points on 1 of 4 shooting, and also went just 1 of 4 at the free-throw line. He added a season-high 10 rebounds in 23 minutes, while tossing in one assist and one block.

Acy has appeared in all but one of the team's games since being acquired from the Raptors. He is averaging just 3.2 points and 3.8 rebounds per game for the Kings.
