Magic's Evan Fournier (hip), Luke Ridnour (hamstring) out Friday

(5:59 pm ET) The Magic will be without guards Evan Fournier and Luke Ridnour for Friday's game against the Kings, according to the Orlando Sentinel

Fournier, who has a hip injury, will miss his fourth consecutive game. Ridnour is sidelined with a hamstring injury. 

With both of these guards out, the Magic are likely to turn to Aaron Gordon for more minutes.

(3/3/2015) Magic guard Evan Fournier is hoping to get back on the court for Wednesday's game against the Suns, but is being cautious, reports the Orlando Sentinel.

"You don't want to mess too much with a muscle," Fournier said. "It's very important to take care of your body and make sure you feel good, because it can get worse."

Fournier suffered the injury Feb. 20 when he collided with Anthony Davis going up for a shot. 

The Magic are currently 4-point underdogs against the Suns Wednesday.

(2/20/2015) Magic small forward Tobias Harris will not play Friday against the Pelicans due to a knee injury, the Orlando Sentinel reports.

It marks the third straight game Harris has missed due to soreness in his right knee. He was initially cleared to return to action Thursday but will sit out at least one more game.

Evan Fournier will draw the start in place of Harris Friday, according to the team's website. He has averaged more than 30 minutes over the last two games with Harris sidelined.

The Magic are 5-point home underdogs against the Pelicans Friday.

(1/14/2015) Magic shooting guard Evan Fournier has been added to the team's active roster and will be available for Wednesday's game against the Rockets.

Fournier has missed the team's last two games, but coach Jacque Vaughn said he'd evaulate the guard afte Wednesday's shootaround before making a decision on his availability. Fournier has averaged 13.6 points on 42.9 percent shooting in 38 games.

Orlando is a 9-point home underdog against Houston Wednesday.

Vaughn added he will evaluate guard Evan Fournier, who has missed the last two games with a knee injury, at shootaround before making a final decision about his playing status.

The Rockets are favored by 7 points.

(1/12/2015) The Magic will be without guard Evan Fournier (knee) and forward Tobias Harris (ankle) in Monday's game against the Bulls. Both were considered doubtful for the matchup.  In their last game, the Magic started Channing Frye and rookie Devyn Marble in place of Harris and Kyle O' Quinn.

Marble scored six points on 3 of 6 shooting and added five steals.

The Magic are currently 11-point underdogs against Chicago.

Fournier is dealing with a knee injury. He hurt himself during Friday's game, and will need more time to recover.

(12/21/2014) Magic coach Jacque Vaughn had positive things to say about guard Evan Fournier, the Boston Globe reported Sunday.

"Evan’s been really good for us," Vaughn said. "I’ve been really pleased at his ability to guard two men [at different positions]. He is big for his size so that gives us a great luxury, and then he’s done a lot of other things that he did previously as far as shooting the basketball, having the basketball in his hands. We’ll give it to him at the end of quarters, so he’ll give us another ballhandler on the floor."

Fournier has averaged 14.6 points while shooting 44.7 percent from the field and starting every one of his 28 games played. The Magic face the 76ers at home Sunday as a 9-point favorite.

Fournier took an elbow to the face on Monday, but did not miss a game. He played 35 minutes, scoring 13 points. Fournier finished with two rebounds and four assists.

Fournier took an elbow to the face Monday but was able to practice Tuesday. He should be able to fill his regular role for the Magic Wednesday. Fournier has averaged 14.4 points on 44.9 shooting in 26 games.

(11/21/2014) Magic shooting guard Evan Fournier scored a team-high 21 points on 7 of 12 shooting in his team's 105-100 win over the Hornets in Charlotte.

Fournier missed Wednesday's game with a heel injury but shook it off to play 33 minutes Friday, sinking one of his four three-point attempts and kicking in one rebound and one assist. His shooting percentage was his best performance since making six of his nine shots on Nov. 9. He'll square off with the Heat Saturday.

Fournier had missed Wednesday’s game against the Clippers with a heel injury. For the season, he is averaging 17.3 points and 2.6 assists.
