(4/15/2015) Magic guard Evan Fournier (hip) and forward Tobias Harris (Achilles) will be held out of Wednesday's game at Brooklyn, reports the team's official website.

Fournier has missed the last two games with a sore hip, while a sore Achilles will prevent Harris from playing.

The Magic are 8 1/2-point underdogs.

(4/14/2015) With Magic guard Evan Fournier still experiencing soreness around his core area, the team will likely hold him out of Wednesday's game at Brooklyn, reports the Orlando Sentinel.

"This time of year, we've got to be careful," interim Magic coach James Borrego said. "We've got a big summer coming. We want him healthy for the summer. Obviously, I miss him. He's a big part of what we are, and I love that kid. But we've got to be smart with him."

Fournier is dealing with a core issue, which has caused him to miss the last two games.

"It's not easy," Fournier said. "I wish I could play, but I gave what I had the last two games."

(3/22/2015) Magic shooting guard Evan Fournier (hip) will miss Sunday's game against the Nuggets and hopes to return to action by the end of the season, tentatively eyeing a return in 10 days, the Orlando Sentinel reports.

"It's really the first time in my career where I've missed so many games," Fournier, who hasn't played since Feb. 25, said Saturday. "It's very frustrating, but it's a part of what we do. We've got to take care of our body. Hopefully, I'm going to be able to play soon. Hopefully, 10 more days. I don't know. But, yeah, it's hard."

Fournier injured his hip on Feb. 20 on a hard fall after a drive to the basket. He has averaged 11.9 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 56 games.

"You don't want to mess too much with a muscle," Fournier said. "It's very important to take care of your body and make sure you feel good, because it can get worse."

Fournier suffered the injury Feb. 20 when he collided with Anthony Davis going up for a shot.

(2/20/2015) Magic small forward Tobias Harris will not play Friday against the Pelicans due to a knee injury, the Orlando Sentinel reports.

It marks the third straight game Harris has missed due to soreness in his right knee. He was initially cleared to return to action Thursday but will sit out at least one more game.

Evan Fournier will draw the start in place of Harris Friday, according to the team's website. He has averaged more than 30 minutes over the last two games with Harris sidelined.

The Magic are 5-point home underdogs against the Pelicans Friday.
