Bucks' John Henson still out, could be a couple more weeks

(12/1/2014) Bucks foward John Henson will not play Tuesday against the Cavaliers and is expecting to be out at least a couple more weeks. Henson said he wants to be on the West Coast trip in Mid-December. 

Henson, who is averaging 4.2 points and 2.7 rebounds per game, has missed the Bucks last three games with a foot injury.

(11/29/2014) Bucks coach Jason Kidd told reporters centers John Henson and Zaza Pachulia will not play Saturday night against Houston. Henson is nursing a foot injury, while Pachulia is away from the team dealing with a death in the family.

Meanwhile, point guard Nate Wolters will be available off the bench. Wolters has been sidelined since Nov. 21 due to an illness, FOX Sports Wisconsin reports.

Henson sprained his foot Tuesday against the Pistons which caused him to miss Wednesday’s game. The Bucks next play Saturday against Houston.

Henson had to be helped to the locker room by two teammates afters suffering the injury in the first half. His night ends with no points and one rebound in four minutes.

(9/30/2014) Bucks forward John Henson told reporters he's unsure of the role he'll have heading into the 2014-15 season under Jason Kidd, according to FOX Sports Wisconsin. Henson will likely be working behind Ersan Ilyasova at power forward, but could slide over and play center at times, depending on certain matchups.

"My rookie year was the same way -- I didn't know what I was going to be," Henson said. "I had no idea. I just have to come to play in training camp, and hopefully I'll be in a position to help the team."

(3/12/2014) Bucks forward John Henson continues to put up pedestrian numbers, though he did score in double figures for the fourth straight game Tuesday against the Timberwolves. 

Henson, starting in place of an injured Ersan Ilyasova, played 32 minutes and neared a double-double for the second game in a row. He still finished with just 10 points on 5 of 8 shooting while adding eight rebounds, two assists and two blocks in the 112-102 loss.

Henson has struggled to stand out recently, averaging just 8.9 points and 6.6 rebounds per game in the month of March.

Henson missed his team's last prebreak game due to a foot injury but managed to play 32 minutes Tuesday while kicking in two blocks and one assist. He still sits at 10 double-doubles on the season. Henson has averaged 11.8 points and 8.0 rebounds over 41 games played.

Henson played just 17 minutes in the game, and was limited to just two points. He shot just 1 of 5 from the field and added five rebounds and one block in the losing effort.

(1/24/2014) Larry Drew’s most dependable player helped the Bucks get just their eighth win of the season Wednesday against Detroit, and to reward him the Milwaukee coach has opted to leave John Henson in the starting lineup, despite the likelihood that Larry Sanders will return from illness.

According to 1250 WSSP, the Bucks will send out the same starting five for their Friday matchup with Cleveland. Henson scored 12 points, grabbed three rebounds and blocked three shots in the win over the Pistons.

(1/9/2014) Bucks forward Ersan Ilyasova is officially day to day as he deals with a sore right hand, reports the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Thursday. Ilyasova was held out of Thursday's practice as a result of the injury, and his status for Friday's game against the Bulls is not yet known.

The Bucks might be without two prospective starters for Friday's game, as Ilyasova is joined on the injury report by John Henson, who is also listed as questionable for the game.

"I'm making some progress,” Henson said. “We're shooting for this weekend, Friday, Saturday."

Henson led the Bucks in blocks and rebounds before going down with injury in late December.
