Pacers recall Orlando Johnson from D-League

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(2/17/2014) The Pacers have recalled guard Orlando Johnson from Fort Wayne of the D-League, the team announced Monday.

Johnson saw regular action during the first six weeks of the season but has played less than five minutes in each of his appearances since Dec. 10, racking up a DNP in 16 of his team's 30 games since that date. He has averaged 2.5 points on 34.4 percent shooting in 36 games played this season.

Pacers reserves see some late run

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(1/16/2014) The Pacers cleared the bench Thursday, in a blowout win over the Knicks.

With the game clearly in hand, little-used reserves Chris Copeland, Donald Sloan, Orlando Johnson and Rasual Butler all saw playing time. Copeland was the most productive of the four, finishing with four points and four rebounds in five minutes of action, while Sloan and Johnson added two points apiece. Butler was scoreless on three field-goal attempts in five minutes.

The Pacers have a pretty set rotation, so these four rarely see the floor. Though all four have appeared in each of the last three games, none have played double-digit minutes in that span.

Johnson comes up big off the bench

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(2/22/2013) Pacers guard Orlando Johnson enjoyed a solid first half before cooling off in the second half of Friday's contest against the Pistons. Johnson came right off the gate with 14 points in the first two quarters, but did not take a shot for the remainder of the second half. He went a perfect 5 of 5 shooting from the field, including 3 of 3 from downtown, but 1 of 3 from the charity stripe. He finished with 14 points, three rebounds and three assists while logging 23 minutes of game action in a 114-82 victory.
