Doron Lamb chips in from bench

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(3/25/2014) The Magic received a rare scoring lift off the bench in the form of Doron Lamb Tuesday against the Blazers, as he scored in double figures for the first time in nearly a month.

Lamb played 23 minutes in his reserve role, scoring 11 points on 3 of 4 shooting, with all his makes coming from three-point range. He could have scored more, but was just 2 for 5 from the free-throw line, while adding just two rebounds and one assist in the 95-85 win.

Lamb's second season in the league looks remarkably similar to his first, as he has struggled to find a role off the bench. He is averaging 3.1 points and 1.1 rebounds per game while appearing in just 42 of the team's first 72 games.

Doron Lamb still doing very little

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(2/25/2014) Magic guard Doron Lamb has been pressed into duty in recent games due to an ankle injury to Arron Afflalo. He played 23 minutes Tuesday against the Wizards, scoring six points on 2 of 7 shooting and adding four assists in a 115-106 loss.

Lamb has appeared in 32 of the team's first 49 games, and has actually seen a reduced role from his quiet rookie season. He is averaging just 2.9 points in 10.5 minutes per game.

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(1/22/2014) Magic guard Doron Lamb saw solid playing time off the bench Wednesday, and gave the team solid minutes in a 112-109 loss to the Hawks.

Lamb scored a season-high 13 points, and he did it in just 19 minutes of action. He shot 5 of 6 from the field and hit three 3-pointers, while adding one rebound before fouling out.

Lamb has appeared in just 21 of the team's first 43 games, but has been playing a bit more recently. He has appeared in eight of the team's last 10 games, averaging 12.9 minutes per game.

Tobias Harris, Doron Lamb sit out preseason finale

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(10/25/2013) The Magic will be without forward Tobias Harris and guard Doron Lamb for Friday's preseason finale against the Pelicans due to injuries, the Orlando Sentinel reports.

Harris is dealing with a sprained left ankle and has been listed as day to day. Lamb also has an ankle injury. Both players remain questionable for Tuesday's season opener against the Pacers.

Lamb could see a bigger role next year

by Adam Moore | CBSSports.com
(5/6/2013) With unrestricted free agent Beno Udrih not expected to be back next year, Magic guard Doron Lamb could be thrust into a larger role. Lamb spent 23 games with the Bucks last season before being traded to Orlando as part of the deal that sent J.J. Redick packing. He averaged 3.2 points and 1.2 assists on 39.7 percent shooting from the field in his 24 games with the Magic.
