Bucks G Khris Middleton ties career-high in win over Magic

by Jason Butt | CBSSports.com
(3/12/2015) Bucks guard Khris Middleton scored 30 points in Wednesday night's 97-91 win over the Magic.

Middleton's 30-point effort matches his career-high, which he set two games ago against the Wizards. On Wednesday, Middleton scored his 30 points on 12-of-17 shooting in 42 minutes of action. He made all four of his three-point shots and both of his free-throw attempts.

''It's playing with confidence,'' Middleton said. ''I'm not going to force it, but if the shot's there, I'm going to shoot it and just be aggressive.''

Middleton also recorded five assists and three rebounds.

''Khris is playing at a very high level for us on both ends,'' Bucks coach Jason Kidd said. ''We can go to him in the post or on the perimeter. He's knocking down shots.''

Bucks forward Khris Middleton scores career-high 30 points in win

by Brandon Wise | CBSSports.com
(3/8/2015) Bucks forward Khris Middleton scored a career-high 30 points on 11 of 20 shooting from the field, including 6 of 9 from 3-point range, in Milwaukee's 91-85 win over the Wizards Saturday.

Middleton also grabbed nine rebounds in the contest and added two steals to his totals.

"We just need him to play his game," Bucks coach Jason Kidd said. "We're not looking for him to do anything more. The ball will find him. He's having a heck of a season. He was having a heck of a season before the trade. Being able to knock down shots, and he's not a secret anymore in this league. We just need him to be himself. You can see he's growing with confidence and playing both ends extremely well."

Middleton scorede 14 of his 30 points in the first quarter.

"I got in a good rhythm early. I was just trying to be aggressive, attack when I could and make plays when I could," Middleton said. "I was able to get the hole off some rebounds."

Bucks shooting guard Khris Middleton stabilizing guard play

by Brandon Wise | CBSSports.com
(3/3/2015) Bucks shooting guard Khris Middleton is helping bring a strong presence on both ends of the floor. But the 23-year-old is still looking to get better on the defensive side.

"Right now I think the main improvement in my defense has just been the coaches," Middleton said, crediting coach Jason Kidd and his staff. "They've been teaching me defensive schemes, how to guard guys, how to use my length.

Coach Jason Kidd is ecstatic about Middleton's defense.

"He's just comfortable," Kidd said. "What we've asked him to do defensively is guard the best perimeter guy. Then offensively, we've asked him to score the ball, be looking for shots or making plays.

Bucks forward Khris Middleton heating up from 3-point range

by Brandon Wise | CBSSports.com
(2/3/2015) Bucks forward Khris Middleton is starting to catch fire as of late. The third-year pro has reached double figures in scoring five of the team's past six games and has hit 14 of his last 22 3-point shots.

"I've been shooting the ball well but it just comes from playing within the offense and letting my teammates find me," Middleton said. "I'm not trying to be overly aggressive; I'm not trying to force things."

Middleton credits his hard work to his recent streak of strong play.

"You have to play your game in this league. If you miss 10 in a row, you have to believe the next 10 are going to fall for you. Confidence is a huge thing in this league."

Middleton, who is averaging 11.0 points and 4.1 rebounds in 45 games this season, isn't giving any thought to his upcoming free agency this summer, when he will become a restricted free agent.

"That's so far ahead," Middleton said. "I don't even think about that at all. I just know what I need to do day in and day out and game-by-game. I have to do what I can to help this team win."

Khris Middleton, Ersan Ilyasova worth a look on waivers

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(12/17/2014) In the fallout from Jabari Parker's torn ACL, the Bucks are left with a massive hole in their rest-of-season plans. Not only was Parker the team's long-term offensive centerpiece, but he was also already second on the team in minutes played as well.

At the Fantasy Basketball Today blog, I took a look at the possible replacements for Parker on the Bucks' roster, headlined by Khris Middleton and Ersan Ilyasova:

"Middleton wasn't a great shooter in college, but has now connected on 39.9 percent of his 3-point attempts in the NBA, on a pretty hefty sample size. He should slot in nicely at small forward if the team opts to stick him there, and already showed he can be a solid Fantasy option last season, when he averaged 13.3 points, 2.4 assists and 1.7 3-pointers per game in 64 starts a year ago.

If Middleton is the priority as a Parker replacement, Ilyasova is the dark horse. Personally, I'm not terribly interested in adding Ilyasova, though I was consistently one of his biggest boosters last season. He has simply struggled to consistently produce, even when given a chance, and is shooting just 29.6 percent on 3-pointers since the end of the 2012-13 season, on 179 attempts."

Middleton is worth adding in nearly all category-based formats, especially if you are in need of a replacement for Parker. Ilyasova is also worth a flier, given how well he played prior to a broken nose, but is by no means a must-add option.
