(11/30/2014) The Pelicans waived forwards Darius Miller and Patric Young Sunday.

Miller played just 43 minutes over five appearances this season, scoring two points on 1 of 7 shooting. Young didn't see any regular-season action with the Pelicans after signing as an undrafted free agent during the offseason.


Pelicans' Darius Miller likely to start at SF, Tyreke Evans at SG

(11/25/2014) The Pelicans are likely to start Darius Miller at small forward Tuesday against the Kings, according to NOLA.com. This move will also push Tyreke Evans over to shooting guard to replace Eric Gordon, who is out indefinitely with a torn labrum.

Miller has made four appearances this season, averaging 0.5 points per game. Evans is averaging 15.0 points, 6.3 assists and 6.2 rebounds per game.

(11/4/2014) Pelicans coach Monty Williams told reporters he'll be without Luke Babbitt, Darius Miller and John Salmons Tuesday night against Charlotte, per the team's official website.

Salmons is still away from the team to attend the birth of his child. Babbitt sprained the middle finger on his left hand Monday against Memphis. Miller was labeled inactive for the game due to personal reasons.

(1/29/2014) Pelicans forward Darius Miller continues to see limited playing time, as he logged just seven minutes Wednesday in an 88-77 loss to the Timberwolves.

Miller was scoreless in Wednesday's game, missing all three of his field-goal attempts in the loss. He added just one rebound and recorded three quick fouls before being forced out.

Miller has been playing around 15 minutes per game over the last minute, but is averaging just 3.7 points per game in January.

(1/11/2014) Pelicans forward Darius Miller scored a season-high 12 points on 4 of 5 shooting, with all five of his shots coming from three-point range, in his team's 110-107 loss to the Mavericks Saturday.

Miller managed 19 minutes for the second consecutive game after seeing that much action just twice all year. He was just 3 for 10 from behind the arc this season before Saturday's season-best night. Miller has averaged 2.8 points in 13 games played.

(1/2/2014) Pelicans forward Darius Miller has been a more consistent part of the rotation recently, after making his season debut in early December after recovering from a foot injury. After playing eight minutes Wednesday, Miller has played in four of the last five games, and is averaging 3.8 points per game in those contests.

Miller has appeared in eight games this season, and is averaging 10.1 minutes per game in those contests.

(9/30/2013) Pelicans forward Darius Miller, who has a foot fracture, hopes to take off his cast within 10-14 days, NBA.com reports Monday. 

Miller was expected to miss 8-12 weeks of action as of early September. He is not going to return anytime soon for the Pelicans. 

"I haven’t really talked about a set date [to return] or anything," he said. "They said they don’t want to rush it, and I don't blame them."

(9/12/2013) Pelicans forward Darius Miller will likely miss the beginning of the regular season, after undergoing surgery to repair a stress fracture in his left foot. Miller underwent the surgery last week and is expected to miss 8-12 weeks, putting him out until the beginning of November at the earliest.
