Miles Plumlee exits game after being poked in eye

(3/14/2014) Suns center Miles Plumlee was poked in the left eye with nearly six minutes left in the fourth quarter of Friday's 87-80 win over the Celtics. He was unable to return from the remainder of the game.

Plumlee scored five points on 2 of 2 shooting, and 1 of 2 from the charity stripe. He also chipped in with seven rebounds and one block while logging 21 minutes of game action before the injury. His status remains uncertain for Sunday's clash against Toronto.

Miles Plumlee eases back into action

(3/9/2014) Suns center Miles Plumlee returned from a knee sprain on Sunday, logging just 10 minutes off the bench in a 113-107 loss to the Warriors.

Plumlee scored just two points on 1 of 3 shooting, also adding four rebounds and one assist. He has not scored in double figures since Feb. 8. He is averaging 8.5 and 8.2 rebounds this season.

(3/4/2014) Suns center Miles Plumlee will not play against the Clippers Tuesday, as a result of a sore knee that has bothered him over the last week or so. He will be replaced in the starting lineup by rookie Alex Len.

Plumlee's next chance to play will be Thursday against the Thunder.

(2/27/2014) Suns center Miles Plumlee continues to make little impact, as he scored in single digits for the seventh game in a row Wednesday against the Jazz.  

Plumlee played 25 minutes, but failed to make much of an impact at all in the 109-86 loss. He scored just six points on 3 of 8 shooting, while adding just seven rebounds, one block and one steal in the loss.

Plumlee has now scored in double figures just once in the month of February and just twice in the last 15 overall. He is averaging 5.7 points and 7.4 rebounds per game in 11 February games.

(1/27/2014) Suns center Miles Plumlee, who was held to three points his last time out, got back on track with a solid performance on Monday, doubling up against the 76ers in Philadelphia.

Plumlee scored 14 points on 6 of 15 shooting from the field, and 2 of 4 from the free throw line. He grabbed 13 boards, with six of them coming from the offensive end of the glass. He also chipped in with two assists while logging 32 minutes of game action.

Plumlee has 10 double-doubles this season. He has averaged 8.8 points and 8.0 rebounds over his last five games played.

(1/14/2014) Suns center Miles Plumlee made his presence felt in the paint as he recorded his ninth double-double of the season Monday, in a 98-96 loss to the Knicks at Madison Square Garden.

Plumlee went 4 of 9 shooting from the field, and a perfect 4 of 4 from the free throw line. He scored 12 points and grabbed 11 boards, with six of them coming from the offensive side of the glass. He also contributed one assist, two blocks and three steals while logging 33 minutes of game action.

Plumlee has grabbed 11 boards in two of his last three games. He has averaged 10.8 points and 8.4 rebounds over his last five games played.

Plumlee scored eight points on 3 of 6 shooting and 2 of 4 from the charity stripe. He grabbed 11 boards, with only two of them coming from the offensive side of the glass. He did all of his damage in 33 minutes of game action, also adding two steals and two blocks in a 104-99 defeat. He has averaged 9.4 points and 9.6 rebounds over his last five games played.

(1/2/2014) Suns center Miles Plumlee enjoyed a solid performance in the paint as he fell a bucket shy of a double-double during Thursday's home loss to the Grizzlies.

Plumlee grabbed 12 rebounds, with only two of them coming from the offensive end. He finished the game with eight points on 4 of 10 shooting from the field, with three blocks and one steal while logging 35 minutes of game action in a 99-91 victory.

Plumlee has been held to single-digit scoring in three of his last four games. He has averaged 12.4 points and 11.8 rebounds over his last five games.

(12/28/2013) Suns center Miles Plumlee scored a season-high 22 points on 10 of 14 shooting while grabbing 13 rebounds in his team's 115-101 win over the 76ers Saturday.

Plumlee's double-double was his eighth of the season, with three coming in his last six games. He also recorded three blocks, one steal and one assist while playing 32 minutes in the win. Plumlee has averaged 10.1 points and 9.2 rebounds over 29 games played.

(12/18/2013) Suns center Miles Plumlee recorded a double-double Wednesday, scoring 13 points on 6 of 9 shooting and hauling in 13 rebounds in his team's 108-101 loss to the Spurs.

It was Plumlee's highest rebound total since he started the season with 15-rebound and 13-rebound performances in his first two games. He also had two steals and two blocks in 34 minutes of action Wednesday. Plumlee has averaged 9.7 points, 8.6 rebounds and 2.0 blocks over 24 games played.

(11/10/2013) Suns center Miles Plumlee recorded a career-best five blocks while scoring eight points on 4 of 9 shooting in Sunday's 101-94 win over the Pelicans.

Plumlee has posted multiple blocks in five of his seven games this season, and he recorded double-digits in rebounds for the second straight game by hauling in 12 boards. He also recorded one steal in his 28 minutes of play.

(11/2/2013) Suns big man Miles Plumlee had another productive game Friday, recording his second double-double in as many games in an 87-84 win over the Jazz.

Plumlee saw his minutes shrink from 40 to 35 in the second game of the season, but was still productive overall. He scored 13 points on 6 of 11 shooting, and added 13 rebounds and three blocked shots.

(10/31/2013) The last-minute trade of Marcin Gortat opened up a spot for Miles Plumlee to start at center for the Suns Wednesday, in the team's season opener against the Trail Blazers. Plumlee took advantage of the opportunity, posing his first career double-double in a 104-91 win.

Plumlee scored 18 points on 8 of 14 shooting over 40 minutes, and added 15 rebounds. The second-year big man added three blocks as well. 

Plumlee was acquired in a trade with the Pacers this offseason, after he appeared in just 14 games for Indiana as a rookie. He scored 13 points all of last season.


Suns exercise options on three

(10/26/2013) The Suns made sure to keep a handful of young players in house for at least one more season Saturday, as they picked up the fourth-year options on forwards Marcus Morris and Markieff Morris, as well as the third-year on center Miles Plumlee's rookie deal.

Plumlee, acquired via an offseason trade from the Pacers, might end up being the team's starting center after the trade of Marcin Gortat Friday.

(7/31/2013) The Pacers traded Miles Plumlee, their 2012 first-round pick to Phoenix Saturday, in a trade to acquire Luis Scola. Plumlee, who was the No. 26 overall pick in the 2012 draft, appeared in just 14 games for the Pacers, playing just 55 minutes total. He spent much of the season in the D-League.
