Hawks will rest three starters in penultimate game

(4/14/2014) With the final spot in the Eastern Conference already clinched, the Hawks will give Paul Millsap, Kyle Korver and DeMarre Carroll a day of rest Monday against the Bobcats, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. The team will trot out the following starting lineup for the penultimate game of the season: Jeff Teague, Lou Williams, Cartier Martin, Mike Scott and Pero Antic.

(2/22/2014) Hawks forward Mike Scott put together another strong performance Saturday, taking advantage of the Knicks' poor defense for a career-high in scoring in a 107-98 win.

Scott played 30 minutes off the bench and took advantage of each one, as well as the Knicks' perimeter defenders. He scored a career-high 30 points on 11 of 14 shooting, with six 3-pointers and eight rebounds in the win.

Scott is putting together a very strong season for the Hawks, averaging 9.7 points per game on 49.2 percent shooting, including a 37.2 percent mark from three-point range.

(2/21/2014) Hawks forward Mike Scott came off the bench and was one of the few bright spots on Friday, scoring a season-high 20 points in a 115-107 loss to the Pistons in Detroit.

Scott shot 9 of 16 from the floor, and 2 of 4 from downtown. He also contributed with five rebounds and one block while logging 30 minutes of game action. He has averaged 10.2 points and 4.4 rebounds over his last five games.

(2/4/2014) Hawks forward Mike Scott continues to contribute consistently on offense, as he scored in double figures for the 12th straight game Tuesday against the Pacers.

Scott scores 15 points off the bench, and he did so efficiently in his 24 minutes of action. He shot 4 of 8 from the field, 2 of 5 from three-point range and 5 of 5 at the free-throw line, his fourth game hitting at least half of his attempts. He added five rebounds and two assists, while turning the ball over twice in an 89-85 loss.

Scott is averaging 14.2 points per game during his double-digit scoring streak, along with 1.7 assists and 4.6 rebounds per game.

(1/25/2014) Hawks forward Mike Scott put together another solid game Saturday against the Bucks, his eighth double-digit scoring game in a row in a 112-87 win.

 Scott scored 14 points on 4 of 10 shooting, adding two 3-pointers and a 4-for-4 mark at the free-throw line in 27 minutes. He also tossed in four rebounds and two turnovers in the game.

Scott is averaging 12.7 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game in the month of January.

(1/16/2014) For the first time this season, Hawks forward Mike Scott has scored in double figures for the fourth straight game in his team's 127-110 defeat to the Nets in London on Thursday.

Scott scored 17 points on 6 of 9 shooting from the field, including 1 of 3 from downtown, and a perfect 4 of 4 from the free throw line. He did all of his damage in 28 minutes of game action, also adding four rebounds and four assists. He has averaged 14.0 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists over his last five games played.

(1/12/2014) Mike Scott was one of the few bright spots off the bench for the Hawks Sunday afternoon, in a 108-101 loss to the Grizzlies.

Scott went 6 of 13 shooting from the field, including 3 of 8 from behind the arc. He finished the game with 15 points, four rebounds, one assist and one steal while logging 28 minutes of game action. He has averaged 13.0 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists over his last five games.

(10/7/2013) Hawks power forward Mike Scott played well in Monday's preseason game against Miami. Coming off the bench for 21 minutes, Scott scored 13 points to lead his team in scoring.

Scott went 6 for 10 from the field and 1 for 1 from the line. He grabbed six rebounds and added an assist for Atlanta in the loss.

The 25-year-old Scott could see a larger role this season after playing in 40 games as a rookie and averaging 4.6 points and 2.8 rebounds over 9.4 minutes.

(4/7/2013) Hawks rookie forward Mike Scott turned in his best offensive game of the season during Saturday's contest against the Spurs. Scott finished with 22 points in the 99-97 win on 8 of 15 shooting from the field. He did miss on his lone attempt from behind the arc, but did add six rebounds and two assists to his stat line, while logging 36 minutes off the bench.
