News: Nets coach P.J. Carlesimo said that his priority in the month of March was to find a way to get rookie forward Mirza Teletovic into the rotation, but that has proven easier said than done. Teletovic has not appeared in either of the team's last two games. Teletovic is averaging 15.5 minutes per game in the month, his highest total of he season.
Analysis: The Nets have actually been successful with Teletovic on the floor in the month of March, outscoring their opponents by 23 points total over 156 minutes in 10 games. Unfortunately, his individual effort leaves something to be desired, as he is averaging just 4.7 points on 4.5 field-goal attempts per game. Teletovic has some value as a three-point shooter, and he remains under contract past this season. For now, however, it looks like he can be safely ignored in most Fantasy formats.
News: Brooklyn coach P.J. Carlesimo told the New York Daily News Friday that he plans to use more of forward Mirza Teletovic down the stretch. Id like to have had (a consistent rotation) two months ago, Carlesimo said. But Mirza is going to be the priority going forward. These next two games (against Dallas and Chicago) might not be ideal for Mirza."
Analysis: Carlesimo told reporters that he has not used Teletovic as much as of late because he feels that the 27-year-old would be a mismatch at the power forward spot. Teletovic is only averaging 3.3 points and 1.5 rebounds per game this season but has already totaled 17 points in his last 33 minutes of game action through three games. That said, we'd still like to see some consistency out him before he gains any sort of Fantasy value. For now, Teletovic should be left for the deepest of Fantasy formats moving forward.
News: Nets forward Mirza Teletovic saw his most playing time since Jan. 5 on Friday night against the Rockets and made the most of his minutes. He scored a career-high 12 points and hauled in five rebounds while playing 17 minutes off the bench. Teletovic was an efficient 5 of 8 from the field, including 2 for 5 from downtown, and also posted an assist.
Analysis: Teletovic entered Friday averaging just three points on the year so hopefully this performance will increase his role. Keep an eye on the situation going forward to see if he will receive more minutes. Until he proves to me more consistent, however, leave Teletovic for the deepest of Fantasy formats.
News: Nets forward Mirza Teletovic was out of the rotation Wednesday against the Timberwolves, as he earned his second DNP - coachs decision in a row. Teletovic has appeared in just three of the last seven games.
Analysis: Teletovic brings an intriguing mix of size and shooting ability to the floor, but has been unable to find consistent playing time in his first season in the NBA. He is averaging just 7.8 minutes in 22 games, and should be left on waivers in the majority of Fantasy formats at this time.
News: Nets power forward Mirza Teletovic overcame an illness to return to action on Tuesday against Toronto. Teletovic played 22 minutes with Gerald Wallace missing the game. He scored 10 points on 3 of 8 shooting as he went 3 of 6 from 3-point range. He grabbed four rebounds and added three assists, a steal and a block in the all-around solid performance.
Analysis: Teletovic had missed the previous two games due to his illness and returned with a solid performance. He's really warmed up from beyond the arc with 2.3 3-pointers per night over his last three games. Teletovic has very low-end Fantasy value at this time, but if he keeps that up that could easily change.
News: Brooklyn forward Mirza Teletovic was held out of Sunday's contest against the Pacers as he continues to deal with flu-like symptoms. He has now missed two consecutive games with the flu.
Analysis: Teletovic has been seeing more playing time since P.J. Carlesimo has been handed over the reigns and has scored 22 of his 58 total points on the season over his last two games. Still, he is only averaging 3.1 points and 1.4 rebounds over 19 games this season. Continue to ignore the rookie in all formats until he proves he can be consistent producer.
News: Nets forward Mirza Teletovic was ruled out for Friday's contest against the Suns as he continues to deal with flu-like symptoms. Teletovic is averaging 3.1 points and 1.4 rebounds over 19 games this season.
Analysis: Teletovic has been seeing more playing time since P.J. Carlesimo has been handed over the reigns and has scored 22 of his 58 total points on the season over his last two games. Still, until he proves he can be consistent producer, owners should leave the rookie on the waiver wire.
News: Nets forward Mirza Teletovic was held out of practice Thursday because of an illness. He is questionable for Friday's game against the Suns.
Analysis: Teletovic scored a career-high 14 points Jan. 5 vs. Sacramento and has seen an increased in playing time since P.J. Carlesimo has taken over as interim coach. Still, Teletovic is only a Fantasy option to keep tabs on. He still needs a breakout run before he becomes an option worth adding off waivers.
News: Nets forward Mirza Teletovic saw his most extensive playing time of the season Saturday against the Kings, as he played 21 minutes off the bench. Teletovic scored a career-high 14 points on 5 of 10 shooting, including a pair of three-pointers. He added six rebounds, two assist and two blocks, in a 113-93 win.
Analysis: Teletovic has a reputation after a long career in Europe of being a sharp shooter from long range, but he has not had many chances to show that. He has hit a pair of three-pointers in each of the last two games, and he will undoubtedly provide more offense than any of the teams other options at the power forward position, which could earn him a bigger role moving forward. Still, his limited role so far should keep Fantasy owners at arms length.
News: The New York Post reports Brooklyn forward Mirza Teletovic was inactive for Friday's game against the Clippers.
Analysis: Teletovic has become irrelevant for Fantasy owners as he can't get off the bench for coach Avery Johnson. He could find time later in the year but has no Fantasy value for now.
News: After playing a combined four minutes over his first two games, Nets forward Mirza Teletovic saw the most playing time of his young career Wednesday night against the Heat. He scored three points while playing 17 minutes off the bench in the 103-73 loss. He went just 1 for 8 from the floor, including 1 for 7 from downtown. Teletovic also posted an assist and rebound in the defeat.
Analysis: Teletovic signed a three-year deal with the Nets, after spending most of his professional career with Vitoria in the Spanish league. It looks as though he does not have much of a role off the bench right now so his Fantasy value is obviously low. Keep an eye on his progress going forward but leave the 27-year-old on waivers in the majority of formats.
News: Nets forward Mirza Teletovic made his state-side debut Saturday, in the teams first preseason game against the 76ers. Teletovic, a stretch-four from Bosnia who signed as a free agent this offseason, took the opportunity to acquaint himself with the NBA three-point line early and often. He attempted 11 shots from three-point range, making just two, on his way to six points. Teletovic finished the game 2 for 13 overall, with three rebounds and a steal in 25 minutes of action.
Analysis: Teletovic signed a three-year deal with the Nets, after spending most of his professional career with Vitoria in the Spanish league. Teletovic shot 43.1 percent from three-point range in 2010-11, and has not shot below 34.6 percent since 2006-07. He clearly has the skill to be an effective floor spacer for Brooklyn, but it might take a while for him to adjust to the slightly further NBA distance on threes. That is about all he projects to add, so Fantasy owners outside of deeper, category-based formats should avoid him.
