by Brandon Wise | CBSSports.com
(12/23/2014) Celtics forward Tyler Zeller led Boston with 22 points and 10 rebounds in the 100-95 loss to the Magic Tuesday. It was just Zeller's second double-double of the season and 12th of his three year career.

He added one block and one steal.

Celtics C Tyler Zeller scores team-high 22 points vs. Heat

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(12/21/2014) Celtics center Tyler Zeller scored a team-high 22 points on 10 of 15 shooting in his team's 100-84 loss to the Heat Sunday.

Zeller set a new season high in shot attempts in the game and was one of just three Boston players to score in double digits. He also racked up eight rebounds and two blocks in 25 minutes of action. Zeller will square off with the Magic Tuesday.

Starting options for Week 8

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(12/15/2014) In my Week 8 (Dec. 15-21) Fantasy basketball planner, I identified eight lower-end players worth starting this week, headlined by Knicks guard Tim Hardaway and David West.

Other players worth getting into your lineup for this week are: Pacers guard Rodney Stuckey and Magic guard Evan Fournier;Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo and Hornets forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist; and Bucks center Larry Sanders and Celtics center Tyler Zeller.

Check out what I have to say about each player, as well as my take on the Nets' season of futility in the Week 8 planner.

Celtics center Zeller posts game-bests in points, rebounds

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(12/5/2014) Celtics center Tyler Zeller had not scored in double figures in the last seven games heading into Friday against the Lakers. But their porous defense was just what the doctored ordered as Zeller poured in a game-high and career-high 24 points.

Zeller added 14 rebounds to lead both teams in that department as well.

Despite start, Tyler Zeller still not interesting

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(12/1/2014) The Celtics moved Tyler Zeller into the starting lineup at center Sunday, but should Fantasy owners be looking to add the third-year big man?

Zeller has been a per-minute dynamo for the Celtics this season, averaging 15.6 points and 9.1 rebounds per-36 minutes, though he has been mostly limited to a small role off the bench. Even in his start Sunday, which saw him score seven points while adding 10 rebounds, he played just under 23 minutes, while Kelly Olynyk came off the bench for 25 minutes.

If Zeller could sustain his pre-minute production in a larger role, he might be Fantasy relevant, but it doesn't appear as if the Celtics are ready to unleash him. He remains a role player, and is only worth a flier in deeper Fantasy formats until he proves otherwise.

Celtics C Tyler Zeller starts, grabs 10 rebounds Sunday

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(11/30/2014) Celtics center Tyler Zeller made his first start for the team Sunday, scoring seven points on 2 of 5 shooting while grabbing 10 rebounds in his team's 111-89 loss to the Spurs Sunday.

Zeller has been an efficient scorer off the bench, making 68.9 percent of his shots while averaging 6.3 points and 14.1 minutes coming into Sunday's start. He didn't light up the scoreboard against the Spurs but could remain in the lineup with Kelly Olynyk also struggling Sunday. Zeller also kicked in one assist and one block in 23 minutes of action in the loss.

Celtics' Tyler Zeller expected to return

by Chris Cwik | CBSSports.com
(11/7/2014) Celtics center Tyler Zeller is expected to return to action Friday.

Zeller was hit in the eye during the first half of the game and suffered a corneal abrasion. He's expected to return during the second half.

Celtics exercise options on Olynyk, Sullinger, Zeller

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(10/29/2014) The Celtics have exercised options on forwards Kelly Olynyk, Jared Sullinger and Tyler Zeller, the team announced Wednesday.

Olynyk's option was a third-year option, while the other two players had fourth-year options. Olynyk averaged 8.7 points and 5.2 rebounds in 20 minutes per game last season. Sullinger has averaged 10.5 points, 7.3 rebounds and 24.6 minutes in 119 career games. Zeller has averaged 6.9 points, 4.9 rebounds and 21 minutes in 147 career games.

Cavaliers, Nets, Celtics work out three-team trade

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(7/9/2014) The Cavaliers opened up cap space in a three-team trade Wednesday, according to ESPN.com.

According to reports, the Cavaliers have traded guards Jarrett Jack and Sergey Karasev to the Nets and center Tyler Zeller to the Celtics, while the Nets sent Marcus Thornton to Boston. It is not clear what, if anything, the Cavaliers will receive in return.

Tyler Zeller goes off for career-game in loss

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(3/23/2014) Cavaliers center Tyler Zeller put up one of the best performance of his career Saturday against the Rockets, during the course of a 118-111 loss.

Zeller played 30 minutes off the bench in the loss, despite generally being the fourth big man on the depth chart. That is because he was simply playing too well to sit, as he scored 23 points on 10 of 16 shooting. He added six rebounds, two assists and a block as well.

Zeller had previously reached the 20-point mark just once in 135 career games, so this was by far his best scoring performance. He has improved his game in his second season, despite playing a smaller overall role. He is averaging 5.3 points and 4.0 rebounds per game in 59 appearances.

Tyler Zeller just misses double-double

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(2/28/2014) Cavaliers center Tyler Zeller managed to score in double figures on Friday, and fell just one rebound shy of his third double-double of the season in a 99-79 victory over the Jazz.

Zeller scored 10 points off the bench on 5 of 12 from the floor. He grabbed nine rebounds, with only three of them coming from the offensive end of the glass. He also chipped in with two assists while logging 23 minutes of game action. He is averaging 8.0 points and 5.2 rebounds over games played.

Tyler Zeller throws up big double-double

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(2/18/2014) Cavaliers center Tyler Zeller put together one of the best games of his career Tuesday against the 76ers, as he continues to fill in for the injured Anderson Varejao.

Zeller played just 25 minutes in the game, but that was enough time for him to snag a career-high in rebounds. He grabbed 15 boards to go with 18 points on 6 of 14 shooting, while adding one assist and one block in the 114-85 win.

Zeller has been limited to mostly a reserve role in his second season, but is playing more recently. The 24-year-old is averaging 6.4 points and 5.0 rebounds per game in the month of February.

Tyler Zeller does little with starting chance

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(2/11/2014) Cavaliers center Tyler Zeller stepped back into the starting lineup Tuesday against the Kings, with Anderson Varejao sidelined by a back injury.

Zeller started the game but played just 18 minutes, with Anthony Bennett starring off the bench and taking much of his playing time. Zeller finished with six points on 3 of 5 shooting, while adding four rebounds and one assist in the 109-99 win.

Zeller has seen his role grow recently, though he is still very much a role player. The 24-year-old is averaging 4.2 points and 3.5 rebounds per game in 41 appearances.

Tyler Zeller posts first double-double of season Tuesday

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(1/28/2014) Cavaliers center Tyler Zeller recorded his first double-double of the season Tuesday, scoring 13 points on 4 of 8 shooting while grabbing 10 rebounds in his team's 100-89 loss to the Pelicans.

Anderson Varejao's absence would be a likely reason for Zeller's quality performance in theory, but Zeller did his damage in just 21 minutes while also tallying two assists and one steal. He has averaged 4.3 points and 3.5 rebounds over 34 games played.

Tyler Zeller scores 10 in win over Utah

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(1/10/2014) Cavaliers center Tyler Zeller enjoyed a solid performance as he returned to double-digit scoring in his team's 113-102 win over Utah on Friday.

Zeller scored 10 points on 4 of 8 shooting form the field and 2 of 4 from the charity stripe. He also grabbed six rebounds while logging 22 minutes of game action. He has averaged 5.0 points and 5.0 boards over his last five games played.

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(12/17/2013) Cavaliers center Tyler Zeller, who missed his last game with a sprained ankle, was in uniform but did not come off the bench during Tuesday's contest against the Trail Blazers. He received a DNP-Coach's decision.

Zeller has been buried in the rotation behind Anderson Varejao and Andrew Bynum, leaving him averaging only 7.3 minutes per game off the bench. He has appeared in 14 games this season and has not scored more than eight points in a game.

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com

Tyler Zeller healthy enough to play vs. Spurs

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(11/23/2013) Cavaliers head coach Mike Brown told NBA.com that center Tyler Zeller is healthy enough to play Saturday against the Spurs in San Antonio. Zeller had missed his last three games because of a right ankle sprain.

Zeller has barely seen any playing time off the bench because of Andrew Bynum and Anderson Varejao. He is averaging 2.1 points and 1.8 rebounds this season.

Tyler Zeller barely seeing the floor

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(11/8/2013) With Andrew Bynum surprisingly making an impact early in the season, the Cavs have asked very little from second-year center Tyler Zeller so far. Zeller played just five minutes Friday, going scoreless with two turnovers in a 94-79 loss.

Zeller has appeared in all six of the Cavaliers' games, but is averaging just 1.0 points in 6.3 minutes.

He made one turnover and a recorded a personal foul and left shortly after. Zeller only very recently was cleared to play in games and is taking it slowly with his return.
