Timberwolves to sign Lorenzo Brown for the rest of the year

(2/19/2015) The Timberwolves will sign guard Lorenzo Brown for the remainder of the season, the team announced. 

Brown has already signed two 10-day contracts with the team. His second 10-day deal expired Feb. 16, and the team waited a few days before bringing him back. Brown is averaging 3.2 points over five games.

(2/6/2015) The Timberwolves have sign guard Lorenzo Brown to a second 10-day deal, according to 1500 AM ESPN Radio. Brown averaged 4.0 points, 3.8 assists and 2.3 boards through his first four games with the Timberwolves.

(1/28/2015) The Timberwolves have signed guard Lorenzo Brown to a 10-day deal, the team announced.

Brown made 26 appearances with the 76ers last season, averaging 2.5 points on 30.2 percent shooting. He played 19 games in the NBA D-League this season, averaging 16.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 1.9 steals and 31.8 minutes per game while shooting 50 percent from the field.

(3/8/2014) 76ers guard Lorenzo Brown will not play Saturday night against the Jazz due to a sore right foot, according to Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia.

Brown was diagnosed with torn ligaments in his right wrist in late February but was able to return to action in March. He is averaging 2.5 and 8.6 minutes over 26 appearances with the 76ers.

(2/24/2014) 76ers guard Lorenzo Brown was diagnosed with torn ligaments in his right wrist, which will not require surgery, according to The News Journal on Monday. Brown said he did not know how he suffered the injury. The team has ruled out him out indefinitely.

Brown was averaging 2.7 points and 9.0 minutes over 24 appearances with the 76ers.

(1/6/2014) 76ers guard Lorenzo Brown made his first appearance since Dec. 16 and endured a nightmare shooting performance during Monday's home loss to the Timberwolves.

Brown went 1 of 7 shooting from the field, including 1 of 3 from behind the arc, and 1 of 2 from the free throw line. His only jumper came from downtown in the right wing in the final quarter. He finished the game with four points, four rebounds and four assists while logging 16 minutes of game action in a 126-95 defeat.

(11/20/2013) The 76ers announced Wednesday that they have signed guards Elliot Williams and Lorenzo Brown.

Williams' only regular-season action came during the 2011-12 season, when he averaged 3.7 points in 24 games with the Trail Blazers. Brown is a rookie out of North Carolina State who was waived by the Timberwolves during the preseason. The 76ers cleared space for the pair by waiving center Kwame Brown and guard Darius Morris.
