(1/26/2015) Timberwolves forward Kevin Martin is listed as questionable for Monday's game at Oklahoma City, the team announced.

Martin has been out since Nov. 19 with a fractured wrist. The team also announced Ricky Rubio (ankle), Shabazz Muhammad (oblique) and Robbie Hummel (wrist) are out.

The Timberwolves are 15 1/2-point underdogs.


Timberwolves missing handful of players at practice Saturday

(1/24/2015) The Timberwolves were without a few players during Saturday's practice including: Anthony Bennett (knee), Mo Williams (general soreness), Zach LaVine (elbow), Shabazz Muhammad (oblique muscle) and Kevin Martin (wrist).

Bennett played just 10 minutes in Friday's loss to the Pelicans. Williams struggled to find his shot in the loss, going 3 of 10 for 12 points. Muhammad has been out since Jan. 9 with the oblique strain and Martin is hoping to return to the court Sunday for his first game since November.

Minnesota is currently a 17-point underdog against the Hawks Sunday.

(1/23/2015) Timberwolves small forward Shabazz Muhammad will see a specialist in relation to his injured abdomen, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Coach Flip Saunders is hoping to get Muhammad back before the All-Star break. The small forward is missing his seventh consecutive game due to the injury Friday.

The Timberwolves are 6 1/2-point home underdogs against the Pelicans Friday.

(1/23/2015) The Timberwolves have ruled Ricky Rubio (ankle) and Shabazz Muhammad out for Friday's game against the Pelicans, according to the team's official website. Rubio has been sidelined since November 7 due to an ankle injury. Muhammad has been sidelined for the past six games with a strained outer oblique muscle.

Forward Kevin Martin has also been sidelined since mid-November while recovering from a broken wrist. He remains questionable for the game.

Minnesota is a 6 1/2-point home underdog against New Orleans.

Martin has been out since November after fracturing his right wrist. In nine games, he is averaging 20.4 points and 3.7 rebounds.

Meanwhile, center Nikola Pekovic (anke) is listed as doubtful. Forward Shabazz Muhammad and guard Ricky Rubio (ankle) have been declared out.

(1/17/2015) The Timberwolves will be without the services of guard Ricky Rubio and forward Shabazz Muhammad for Saturday's game against Denver. Shooting guard Kevin Martin and center Nikola Pekovic are both doubtful as well.

Rubio has missed the past 33 games after suffering a sprained left ankle on Nov. 7. Muhammad has been sidelined for the past three games with a strained outer oblique muscle. Martin has missed the past 28 contests after suffering a fractured right wrist on Nov. 19. Pekovic is nursing a sore right ankle and sprained right wrist, which has caused him to miss 29 games this season.

Minnesota is a 12-point underdog at Denver.

(1/16/2015) The Timberwolves have officially ruled shooting guard Kevin Martin and center Nikola Pekovic as doubtful for Friday's game against the Suns.

While both Martin (wrist) and Pekovic (ankle) are working there way back from significant injuries they suffered in November, it is unlikely they return Friday. Ricky Rubio (ankle) and Shabazz Muhammad (oblique) have been declared out.

The Timberwolves are currently 14-point underdogs against the Suns.

(1/12/2015) An MRI revealed Timberwovles guard Shabazz Muhammad suffered an external oblique strain and will miss the next two weeks, the team announced. 

Muhammad missed Saturday’s loss to the Spurs becuase of the injury. Forward Chase Budinger started in Muhammad’s place and scored two points.

Muhammad is dealing with lower abdominal soreness. Rooke Andrew Wiggins will start in his place and is averaging 14.4 points and 4.2 rebounds per game this year.

Shabazz Muhammad, however, has been downgraded to doubtful for the game with abdominal soreness. Muhammad played limited minutes Friday after suffering the injury.

The Timberwolves are currently 10-point underdogs against San Antonio.

The issue was initially thought to be a strained stomach, but Muhammad said after the game that it was his groin. He was on the court for less than seven minutes in the second half due to the issue. Muhammad finished with 12 points.

Muhammad shot 10 of 17 from the field, including 5 of 6 from 3-point range, the most 3-pointers he's made in his career. He and running mate Andrew Wiggins scored 51 of Minnesota's 94 points.

Muhammad also pulled down seven rebounds and dished out two assists.

Muhammad has seen his scoring chances tick up in December, and Sunday's performance was his fourth with at least 20 points in his nine games. He just missed his second double-double, tallying nine rebounds and one assist in 27 minutes. The Timberwolves are set to face the Wizards Tuesday.

Muhammad was unable to practice Thursday due to an ankle issue but it appeared the injury didn't affect him in Friday's game, as he turned in just his second 20-point performance of the season. He also managed to collect four rebounds and one assist in 27 minutes off the bench. The Timberwolves are slated to face the Spurs Saturday and enter the game in the midst of a four-game losing streak.
