Covington also recorded four blocks in the loss.

Covington shot eight of 19 from the floor and added five assists and four rebounds in the loss.

(4/8/2015) 76ers forward Robert Covington totaled a game-high 27 points during Wednesday night's 119-90 loss to the Wizards. 

In 24 minutes, Covington made 8 of his 11 field-goal attempts, which included going 4 for 6 from behind the arc. Covington made 7 of 8 free throws and came down with three rebounds. He also had two steals and one assist. 

Covington's 27 points were a career-best.

(3/24/2015) The 76ers will hold guard Jason Richardson out of Tuesday's contest at Sacramento to rest so he can play in Wednesday's game, reports the team's official website.

With Richardson out of the lineup, forward Robert Covington will start in his place. In 58 games, Covington is averaging 12.7 points and 4.6 rebounds.

The 76ers are 8 1/2-point underdogs.

An arm injury Covington suffered during Sunday's loss to Pacers also prevented him from playing in Monday's contest. In 49 games, Covington is averaging 13.2 points and 4.7 rebounds. Guard JaKarr Sampson is expected to receive the start in place of Covington.

The 76ers are 15-point underdogs.

(3/2/2015) The 76ers announced that neither Jason Richardson and Robert Covington will play against the Raptors on Monday. 

Covington left Sunday's game early with a right-arm injury. He was initially listed as questionable for Monday's game. Coach Brett Brown said he expected Covington to be back for Wednesday's game at the Thunder. 

The team has not announced the reason that Richardson is missing the game. However, Brown said that Richardson was less certain to be back for Wednesday's game. 

The Sixers are nine-point underdogs at home, Monday.

(3/1/2015) 76ers forward Robert Covington left Sunday's game against the Pacers with an apparent right arm injury. Covington drove the lane for a shot attempt, but fell hard to the ground under the basket and needed immediate medical attention.

He was walked out off the floor with a team doctor and headed straight to the locker room.Covington will not return to the game after suffering a right elbow contusion, the team announced. Covington scored 12 points on 5 of 11 shooting with three rebounds before leaving the game.


Covington, Sampson score 16 each for 76ers in loss to Magic

(2/22/2015) 76ers forward Robert Covington and guard JaKarr Sampson scored 16 points apiece in Sunday's 103-98 loss to the Magic on Sunday.

Covington returned to double-figures scoring after scoring only eight against the Pacers on Friday. Before that game, Covington scored double digits in eight consecutive games.

Sampson's 16 points is a season-high.

The Magic take on the Heat at home this Wednesday.


Report: Sixers' Michael Carter-Williams to miss Rising Stars game

(2/12/2015) 76ers guard Michael Carter-Williams will not be able to participate in Friday's Rising Stars Challenge, a source told CSNPhilly.com.

Carter-Williams has missed the last three games with a toe injury. Teammate Robert Covington will replace Carter-Williams in the Rising Stars game. Carter-Williams is also scheduled to participate in Saturday's Skills Competition, but his status for that event has not been determined.
