76ers finalize trade for forward Andrei Kirilenko

(12/11/2014) The 76ers announced they have officially acquired forward Andrei Kirilenko from the Nets Thursday.

Along with acquiring Kirilenko, the 76ers will also receive guard Jorge Gutierrez, the Nets’ 2020 second-round pick, a right to swap Cleveland’s 2018 second-round pick with Brooklyn’s 2018 second-round pick and cash considerations. The Nets acquired forward Brandon Davies

Kirilenko has not played since Nov. 13 while dealing with personal reasons and is not considering playing in the NBA until later in the season, reports USA Today.

(12/10/2014) Sources have indicated the Nets have finalized a trade which will send forward Andrei Kirilenko to the 76ers, reports Yahoo Sports.

Along with acquiring Kirilenko, the 76ers will also receive the Nets’ 2020 second-round pick, a right to swap 2018 second-round picks and cash. The Nets will receive forward Brandon Davies. The deal is expected to be finalized Thursday.

Kirilenko has not played since Nov. 13 while dealing with personal issues.


76ers F Brandon Davies drops 18 points off the bench

(11/1/2014) 76ers forward Brandon Davies, who played only five minutes off the bench his last time out, put together a flawless shooting performance in a losing effort Saturday night against Miami.

Davies got off to a fast start, converting his first seven field goal attempts before misfiring his last two shots of the night. He finished with 18 points off the bench on 7 of 9 shooting from the field, including 1 of 2 from behind the arc, and 3 of 4 from the free throw line. He added three rebounds and three steals while logging 24 minutes of game action. He has averaged 10.0 points through the first three games of the season.

Davies had surgery on his dislocated finger in January. He was averaging 2.5 points and 2.0 rebounds over 37 games played.

(1/22/2014) 76ers forward Brandon Davies had successful surgery on his dislocated finger Tuesday and is expected to miss four to six weeks, the Bucks County Courier Times reports.

Davies suffered the injury Saturday, playing just four minutes in his team's loss to the Bulls, then missed Monday's game. He has averaged 2.5 points and 2.0 rebounds over 37 games played.


Tony Wroten doubtful to play, two ruled out Wednesday

(1/22/2014) 76ers guard Tony Wroten is "highly unlikely" to play in Wednesday's game against the Knicks, while forwards Arnett Moultrie and Brandon Davies have been ruled out, Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia reports.

Wroten was seen walking around with ice on his injured ankle during the team's shootaround Wednesday, making him nearly certain to miss his second straight game with the injury. Moultrie has yet to make his season debut after September ankle surgery. Davies is missing his second straight game after dislocating a finger Sunday.

Davies averaged only 2.5 points and 2.0 rebounds in 11.6 minutes through 37 games. His status remains uncertain for Wednesday at New York.

(1/18/2014) 76ers forward Brandon Davies suffered an injury to his finger during Saturday's game against the Bulls, according to Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia.

Davies played the final four minutes of the game but underwent X-rays after the game. His status remains uncertain for Monday's game at Washington. Davies scored just three points on 1 of 2 shooting, and 1 of 1 from the free throw line.He also grabbed one rebound and handed out one assist in a 103-78 loss.

(1/7/2014) The 76ers emptied the bench in a blowout loss to the Cavaliers Tuesday, allowing some little-used bench players to thrive. Forward Brandon Davies and guard Elliot Williams both managed season-highs in scoring in the 111-93 loss.

Williams played 23 points off the bench, his second game in a row with 20-plus minutes played. He scored 12 points on 4 of 8 shooting, while adding four rebounds and an assist. Davies played a season-high 24 minutes himself, and added 11 points on 3 of 4 shooting, including 5 of 7 at the free-throw line. Davies also added four rebounds, one assists and a pair of steals.
