Pelicans will bring up James Southerland

(4/10/2014) The Pelicans will call up forward James Southerland from the D-League, according to ESPN Los Angeles on Thursday. Southerland is averaging 14.7 points and 6.5 rebounds per game for the D-Fenders.

Bobcats to waive James Southerland, add Chris Douglas-Roberts

(12/11/2013) The Bobcats will waive forward James Southerland to open a roster spot for guard Chris Douglas-Roberts, the Charlotte Observer reports.

Southerland played just three minutes in one game for the Bobcats, missing all three of his shots from the field. Douglas-Roberts, who couldn't make the Knicks final roster, scored 17 points in 63 minutes over six games with the Mavericks last season.
