Wizards sign G Will Bynum to 10-day contract

(3/27/2015) The Wizards announced Friday that they have signed guard Will Bynum to a 10-day contract and released guard Toure' Murry, per a team release. 

Bynum most recently played with the Guandong Southern Tigers in the Chinese League. He suffered a hamstring injury at the end of the season, but said he could play tonight if needed. 

Murry appeared in three games with the Wizards, scoring six points.

(3/26/2015) The Wizards are set to release guard Toure' Murry and sign guard Will Bynum Friday, the Washington Post reports.

Murry suffered a sprained ankle Monday, and with Bradley Beal also dealing with a sprained ankle, the team will add Bynum for depth purposes. However, Bynum has also been nursing a hamstring injury suffered while playing in China.


Wizards' Kris Humphries, Toure' Murry won't play Wednesday

(3/25/2015) Wizards forward Kris Humphries is still dealing with a left groin issue and he has been ruled out of Wednesday's game against the Pacers, reports CSNWashington.com.

Humphries has missed the last 13 games because of the groin injury. Meanwhile, guard Toure' Murry is dealing with a ankle injury and he has also been ruled out.

The Wizards are 3 1/2-point favorites.

Murry has appeared in two games for the Wizards and is averaging 2.0 points in each of them. Murry signed his first 10-day contract with the Wizards on March 12.

(3/12/2015) With Garrett Temple sidelined by a hamstring injury, the Wizards are planning on signing guard Toure' Murry to a 10-day contract, according to CSNWashington.com.

Murry appeared in one game for the Jazz this season and 51 for the Knicks in 2013-14, where he averaged 2.7 points. 

Murry will not be able to join the Wizards' playoff roster; however, he is eligible to sign a second 10-day deal if needed after March 22.

Murry has only played in one game for the Jazz this season. With the extra roster spot, the Jazz are expected to sign guard Elijah Milsap from the NBA Development League, reports the Deseret News. Milsap has never appeared in an NBA game.

(1/4/2015) Wanting to clear up a roster spot, sources indicated the Jazz are looking to trade guard Toure Murry, reports the Deseret News.

Murry has only played in one game for the Jazz this season. If no trade partner can be found, Murry is expected to be released in order for the Jazz to sign guard Elijah Milsap. Milsap is currently playing in the NBA Development League and has never appeared in an NBA game.

Murry spent four days with the Stampeders, where he scored 11 points and had six rebounds in one game for Idaho. 

He will be available for Utah in Saturday's game against the Timberwolves.

(12/6/2014) Nets veteran forward Andrei Kirilenko could be traded to the Jazz at some point after Dec. 15. A source told the Deseret News that a deal between both sides is "very possible." The trade would reportedly send forwards Jeremy Evans and Toure' Murry to Brooklyn.

Kirilenko spent the first 10 seasons of his NBA career in Utah. The 33-year-old started the season as a marginal contributor under new coach Lionel Hollins and has been away from the team recently to tend to a personal matter. He's averaging under one point in just seven appearances this season.


Knicks send Toure' Murry back to D-League

(1/31/2014) One day after recalling him from the D-League, the Knicks sent guard Toure' Murry back to the Erie BayHawks Friday.

Murry has played the back-and-fourth game with Erie, playing eight minutes with the Knicks Tuesday and six minutes with the Knicks Thursday. He'll likely be recalled for Saturday's game against the Heat.

(1/14/2014) Knicks guard Toure' Murry played just eight minutes Tuesday against the Bobcats, in a 108-98 loss.

Murry, who has been playing more recently with Beno Udrih out with a knee injury, played sparingly off the bench with Udrih back. He finished the game scoreless on three field-goal attempts, while adding one rebound and two assists.

Murry is averaging 3.3 points and 1.2 assists per game in 22 appearances as an undrafted rookie for the Knicks.

(12/28/2013) Knicks rookie guard Toure' Murry enjoyed his best performance of the season as he scored 11 points off the bench on 5 of 11 shooting and 1 of 2 from the free throw line in his team's 115-100 defeat to Toronto.

Murry also contributed with six assists, three rebounds and three steals while logging a career-high 27 minutes of game action. It was his first game in double figures. He is averaging 5.8 points, 2.8 assists and 2.5 rebounds over his last five games.

Murry was the beneficiary of a blowout loss, getting to see the floor for the second time this season. He also had one rebound in the loss.
