Report: Tyson Chandler back to the Mavericks?

by Joe Polito | CBSSports.com
(6/25/2014) The Knicks rebuild looks to be in full effect, as ESPN reported late Wednesday that the Mavericks were on the verge of acquiring center Tyson Chandler in a trade that also involves point guard Raymond Felton.

The two teams are said to be in "advanced" talks for a deal that would bring Dallas the stability it has lacked in the middle while freeing the Knicks of Felton's less than desirable contract.

Chandler played a large part in the Mavericks' 2011 title. He averaged 10.4 points and 11.5 rebounds per game in 55 appearances with the Knicks last season.

Raymond Felton, Tyson Chandler sit out finale

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(4/16/2014) Knicks guard Raymond Felton and center Tyson Chandler are taking the final night of the season off and are not in uniform for Wednesday's game against the Raptors.

Felton finishes the season having appeared in 65 games, and has fought through back and rib injuries in recent weeks. He averaged 9.7 points, 3.0 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game on the season.

Chandler played just five minutes in the team's previous game Tuesday, and there is no reason to push him with the season ending without a postseason run. Chandler was limited to 55 games, his lowest total since 2009-10. He averaged just 8.7 points and 9.6 rebounds per game, also his lowest averages since 2009-10.

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(3/20/2014) Knicks center Tyson Chandler was able to play 39 minutes Wednesday against the Pacers, after returning from a personal absence.

Chandler, who had missed two of the team's previous three games as a result of the personal issue, snagged a game-high 14 rebounds in his 39 minutes of action. He finished with seven points on 2 of 5 shooting as well, while blocking one shot and adding one steal in a 92-86 win.

Chandler has recorded double digit rebounds in all but one game in the month of March, and is averaging 10.1 points and 13.6 rebounds per game in seven games.

Tyson Chandler away from team again, should return for Pacers game

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(3/17/2014) Knicks center Tyson Chandler left the team again on Monday to tend a personal matter, but should be back with the team in time for Wednesday's game against the Pacers, The Record reports.

Chandler missed two games last week because of the matter. He is averaging 9.2 points and 10.2 rebounds per game this season.

Tyson Chandler eased back in in return

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(3/15/2014) Knicks center Tyson Chandler was back with the team Saturday, after missing two games due to a person absence. He played 25 minutes in Saturday's game against the Bucks, recording two points and five rebounds in the 115-94 win.

Chandler was playing well prior to taking his time away from the team, but it wasn't a surprise to see him eased back in after missing a week of action. He is averaging 9.4 points and 10.4 rebound per game for the season, while appearing in just 41 of the Knicks' first 67 games.

Chandler was dealing with a respiratory infection, so it makes sense that the team would limit his minutes early in his return. He will likely see his playing time increase moving forward.
