(3/3/2015) Bulls power forward Pau Gasol scored 20 points on 8 of 11 shooting from the field in Chicago's 97-92 win over the Wizards Tuesday. Gasol also grabbed 10 rebounds, leading to his league-leading 39th double-double of the season and fourth in his last five games.

Gasol also added two blocks and one steal to his totals.

(3/2/2015) Bulls power forward Pau Gasol is probable to play Tuesday against the Wizards due to illness, per the team's play-by-play announcer.

Gasol scored just four points in 33 minutes in Sunday's loss to the Clippers. He has averaged 18.2 points and a career-high 12.1 rebounds in 56 games in his first season with the Bulls.

The Bulls are 3 1/2-point favorites against the Wizards Tuesday.

(3/1/2015) Pau Gasol was still suffering from an illness in the Bulls' 96-86 loss to the Clippers on Sunday. 

Gasol missed Friday's game, and coach Tom Thibodeau gave him credit for playing through the illness on Sunday afternoon. 

Gasol managed just four points on two-of-13 shooting. While his shooting suffered, Gasol managed a team-high 15 rebounds and added four assists. 

The Bulls next play Tuesday, against the Wizards. 


Bulls rule Taj Gibson out of Sunday's game; Pau Gasol to play

(3/1/2015) Bulls forward Taj Gibson has been ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Clippers, reports ESPNChicago.com.

Gibson has been dealing with an ankle injury, which he injured during Friday's contest. Forward Tony Snell is expected to see his role increase with Gibson sidelined.

Meanwhile, forward Pau Gasol is dealing with an illness, but he has been cleared to play Sunday.

The Bulls are 1 1/2-point underdogs.

(2/28/2015) Pau Gasol missed Friday's game for the Bulls, suffering from an illness. Coach Tom Thibodeau said he was hopeful that Gasol would be able to play on Sunday, against the Clippers. 

Thibodeau added that he believed Gasol "would be fine" on Sunday. 

Gasol is averaging 18.4 points and 12.1 rebounds this year.

(2/27/2015) Bulls power forward Pau Gasol will miss Friday's game against the Timberwolves due to flu-like symptoms, reports the Chicago Tribune.

Gasol was battling a sickness during shootaround Friday morning and was forced to leave. He leads the league in double-double with 38, four ahead of the next closest player. Gasol is averaging 18.4 points and 12.1 rebounds in 55 games.

The Bulls are currently 5 1/2-point favorites Friday.

Gasol's double-double was his 18th in his last 19 games, but it wasn't enough to give the team its third straight win. He also blocked four shots and dished out one assist in 35 minutes of action. The Derrick Rose-less Bulls will look to bounce back Friday against the Timberwolves.

Gasol also grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds in the contest to lead to his 36th double-double of the season. It was Gasol's 16th double-double in his last 17 games. He added two assists and two blocks to his totals in the contest.

(2/12/2015) Bulls power forward Pau Gasol scored 18 points on 6 of 16 shooting while hauling in 10 rebounds in his team's 113-98 win over the Cavaliers Thursday.

"Good attitude. We started the game well," Gasol said after the game, per the Associated Press. "We set the tone early. We played (well) defensively. We were aggressive for the most part. I saw a good approach to the game and a good performance."

The double-double was the 14th in a row for Gasol, who is set to start in Sunday's All-Star Game in Madison Square Garden. He also tallied six assists, one steal and one block in 32 minutes during the mediocre shooting performance. The Bulls enter the All-Star break on a four-game winning streak.

Gasol shot 11-15 from the field. He hit all four of his free throws, finishing with a team-high 26 points. Gasol was a monster on the boards, pulling down 16 rebounds during the contest. Fourteen of those came on the defensive end of the court. Gasol also added three assists. It was his 34th double-double of the season.

It was Gasol's 11th straight double-double and league-leading 32nd of the season. It's the most double-doubles Gasol has had in a season since 2011-2012. He has never had more than 43 in any of his 15-year career. He added four assists and three blocks to his totals.

Gasol has racked up nine straight double-doubles, but his 19 rebounds Friday were his highest total since grabbing 20 against the Warriors on Dec. 6. He also kicked in three assists and one block in 36 minutes. The Bulls will look to bounce back Wednesday against the Rockets.

Gasol was a monster on both ends of the court. Offensively, he shot 17-30 from the floor. He hit 12 of his 13 free throws, finishing with a career-high 46 points. He was no slouch on defense, however, pulling down a total of 18 rebounds. Ten of those came on the defensive side of the floor. Gasol also added three assists and one steal during the contest.

It was Gasol's second consecutive double-double and 18th of the season. In three games so far this month, Gasol is shooting 53 percent from the field and 20 of 22 from the free throw line. 

Gasol also had three assists and two blocks on the night.
