Grizzlies PF Zach Randolph doubles up vs. Nuggets

(1/29/2015) Grizzlies power forward Zach Randolph scored a team-high 15 points on 6 of 14 shooting while hauling in 17 rebounds in his team's 99-69 win over the Nuggets Thursday.

Randolph played a team-high 30 minutes and was the only player to see 30 minutes of action on either roster as both teams used the blowout as an opportunity to spread minutes around. He also racked up two assists and one steal in the win, the Grizzlies' fifth straight. Randolph will move forward to face off with the Thunder Saturday.

(1/27/2015) Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph scored 22 points on 10 of 15 shooting in Memphis' 109-90 win over the Mavericks Tuesday. 

Randolph also grabbed 10 rebounds to give him his 10th straight game with a double-double and 26th of the season. His 10th straight double-double ties a league-lead for most consecutive games with a double-double this season.

Randolph shot 8-13 from the field. He sunk all eight of his free throws, finishing with a team-high 24 points. Randolph was active on the boards, pulling down 10 rebounds. He also added six assists.

It was Randolph's eighth consecutive double-double and 24th of the season. In those eight games since coming back from injury, Randolph is averaging 18.8 points and and 13.9 rebounds.

Randolph shot 8-14 from the field. He hit three of his six free throws, finishing with 19 points. Randolph was also active on the boards, picking up 13 rebounds. He was particularly active on the defensive end of the court, pulling down 10 of his boards on the defensive glass.

Randolph has delivered five straight double-doubles since returning from injury, with the Grizzlies winning each of their last four games. He also chipped in two assists in 38 minutes of action. The Grizzlies are set to face the Mavericks Monday.

Randolph has ripped off three straight double-doubles since missing nine games due to a knee injury, averaging 19.3 points and 14.0 rebounds during that stretch. He also kicked in three assists and one steal in 32 minutes of action in Wednesday's win, the Grizzlies' second in a row. Randolph will square off with the Magic Friday.

(1/11/2015) Grizzlies power forward Zach Randolph scored a season-high 27 points and grabbed 17 rebounds in Sunday's double-overtime win over the Suns. It was his second straight double-double following a nine-game absence due to a sore knee.

Randolph hit 11 of 16 shots and 5 of 6 free throws. He added four assists and two blocks, though he committed seven turnovers. Randolph will visit Nets on Wednesday.

Still, Joerger is unsure if Randolph will make his return to action Wednesday against the Hawks.

"I don't know how likely it is that he plays," Joerger said.

(12/28/2014) Grizzlies power forward Zach Randolph said Sunday that he doesn't have a timetable for his return from a knee injury, the Commercial Appeal reports.

"I don’t have a target date yet. I’m just trying to get it right and get the swelling out," Randolph said. "I want to get comfortable playing on it. We’ll see how it is in a couple of days. I’ll probably get it checked out again."

Randolph has missed four games with the knee issue, and coach Dave Joerger said Saturday that the power forward is day-to-day. Randolph has been treated with ice and electric stimulus since sitting out the fourth quarter of a Dec. 19 game.

"You know, I hate being on the sideline. I want to be out there playing," Randolph added. "But I have no comfort level playing right now. (The knee) is tight and swollen."

Randolph has averaged 16.1 points and 11.4 rebounds in 26 games.

(12/23/2014) The Grizzlies are listing forward Zach Randolph and guard Tony Allen as questionable for Friday’s game against the Rockets, reports the Houston Chronicle.

Randolph missed Monday’s loss to the Jazz with a knee issue which was his first missed game of the season. Center Kosta Koufos started in Randolph’s place and scored five points in addition to grabbing four rebounds in 33 minutes.

Allen has missed three straight games since suffering a right corneal abrasion. Forward Tayshaun Prince has replaced Allen in the lineup, but he has struggled. Prince has scored a total of 11 points over his last three games.
