Zach Randolph records double-double in Grizzlies' loss

(4/12/2015) Zach Randolph recorded his third straight double-double and 38th of the season in the Grizzlies' 94-86 loss to the Clippers on Saturday. 

Randolph scored 21 points on eight-of-19 shooting. He pulled down 13 rebounds, his fourth straight game in double digits. 

Randolph added five assists and three steals. 

The Grizzles next play at the Warriors on Monday.

(4/8/2015) Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph notched a double-double in Wednesday night's 110-74 blowout win over the Pelicans. 

Randolph scored 15 points on 6-of-13 shooting from the field. He missed his long three-point attempt and made all three of his free-throw attempts. Randolph also totaled 13 rebounds and six assists. 

Randolph also notched two steals in 30 minutes of playing time. This is Randolph's second double-double in the past five games.

(4/2/2015) Despite dealing with a sore elbow, Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph said he is definitely playing in Friday's game against the Thunder, reports The Commercial Appeal.

Randolph hyperextended his elbow during Monday's contest and he did not practice Wednesday. He said the elbow is a little tender, but OK.

(4/1/2015) After fighting through an elbow injury during Monday's contest, Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph insisted he will play in Friday's game against the Thunder, reports The Commercial Appeal.

Randolph hyperextended his elbow during Monday's game, but he was able to play 30 minutes and score 15 points. However, he was not able to practice Wednesday, reports ESPN.com.

(3/31/2015) Grizzlies forwad Zach Randolph suffered an elbow and knee injury near the end of Monday's game against the Kings and was held out as a precaution, reports ESPN.com.

Memphis was in control of the game so Randolph, who scored 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds, was taken out to get early treatment, according to the report.

(3/23/2015) Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph notched a game-high 23 points during Monday night's 103-82 win over the Knicks. 

Randolph made 9 of 12 shots from the field and sank 5 of 6 from the free-throw line. He also totaled seven rebounds and five assists. This is the eighth consecutive game that Randolph was able to post double figures in scoring.

Randolph shot 8 of 13 from the field and made 5 of 6 free-throw attempts. Randolph also added five assists and four rebounds. It's the second time in the past three games that Randolph has scored 21.

Randolph added two assists and two steals to his totals.

(3/12/2015) Citing rest, the Grizzlies will hold out guard Tony Allen, forward Zach Randolph and center Marc Gasol for Thursday's game at Washington, reports The Commercial Appeal. Center Kosta Koufos is expected to receive more playing time with Gasol and Randolph out.

Meanwhile, guard Mike Conley is suffering from a right ankle sprain and he will also miss Thursday's game. Guards Courtney Lee and Beno Udrih should see an increased role with Allen and Conley out.

The Grizzlies are 2-point underdogs.

Randolph hit 10 of 16 shots and led the Grizzlies in points and boards, while adding three assists.

Randolph had 16 of his points in the second half, as the Grizzlies came from behind to earn the win. 

The Grizzlies next play at the Pelicans on Saturday.

Randolph, who is averaging 16.5 points and 11.7 rebounds in 49 games, has not missed a game in the last two months. While Udrih, who is averaging 7.5 points and 2.9 assists in 56 games, has only missed two games this season.

The Grizzlies are currently 8 1/2-point favorites against the Jazz.

Randolph's double-double was just his fourth in 10 games this month after he capped January by recording 12 straight. He also chipped in one assist and one steal in 36 minutes Friday.

The Grizzlies will attempt to avoid a third straight loss Saturday against the Timberwolves.

The Grizzlies will look to keep rolling Friday against the Timberwolves.

Randolph delivered his 12th consecutive double-double since missing nine games in late December and early January, and Saturday's 18 rebounds represented his highest total during that stretch. He also kicked in three assists and one block in 37 minutes in the win. The Grizzlies will shoot for a seventh straight victory Monday against the Suns.

Randolph also grabbed 10 rebounds to give him his 10th straight game with a double-double and 26th of the season. His 10th straight double-double ties a league-lead for most consecutive games with a double-double this season.
