Jannero Pargo filling in well from bench

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(2/2/2014) Bobcats guard Jannero Pargo continues to contribute off the bench with Kemba Walker sidelined by an ankle injury.

Pargo scored 12 points in just 22 minutes Saturday against the Suns, though he shot the ball poorly, making 5 of his 12 attempts from the field. He did add six assists and one rebound, while turning the ball over three times in a 105-95 loss.

Pargo has appeared in 16 games this season, seven of which have come since Walker's injury. He is averaging 10.6 points per game over the last six games.

Jannero Pargo getting some run due to injuries

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(1/22/2014) Bobcats guard Jannero Pargo has appeared in just 11 games this season, but an ankle injury to Kemba Walker has forced him into reserve duty over the last two games.

He played 12 minutes and provided a solid punch off the bench Wednesday against the Clippers, in a 95-91 win. He scored 11 points on 5 of 8 shooting in his limited minutes, with one 3-pointer, two assists, one steal and one rebound in the win.

Pargo has scored double-digit points in consecutive games since seeing his role increase. He will likely remain the team's primary backup to Ramon Sessions for as long as Walker is out.

Pargo staying with the Bobcats

(4/3/2013) The Charlotte Observer reports that the Bobcats will sign veteran point guard Jannero Pargo for the rest of the season. Pargo was signed to two 10-day contracts as a fill-in for injured backup Ramon Sessions. Sessions is still out with a sprained knee and Pargo has performed well behind starter Kemba Walker. With Pargo's second 10-day about to expire, the Bobcats had to sign him for the rest of the season or lose him under NBA rules.
