Reggie Evans solid in return from back issue

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(4/10/2014) Kings forward Reggie Evans played 23 minutes off the bench Wednesday against the Trail Blazers, in his return from a back injury that cost him the team's previous game.

Evans scored four points on 2 of 4 shooting, while adding nine rebounds. He also filled up the box score unusually well, dishing out three assists and snagging two steals, though he also turned the ball over four times in a 100-99 loss.

Evans remains little more than a  rebounding specialist, averaging 3.8 points and 6.0 rebounds in 53 games.

Rudy Gay, Reggie Evans expected back Wednesday

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(4/9/2014) Kings forwards Rudy Gay (back) and Reggie Evans (back) are both "very likely to play" Wednesday against the Trail Blazers, according to CowbellKingdom.com. Both Gay and Evans missed Tuesday's game as a result of their injuries, though neither was considered particularly serious, so it isn't a surprise to see them miss just the first half of the team's back-to-back set.

Reggie Evans out, Rudy Gay could follow

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(4/8/2014) With Isaiah Thomas already out with a quad injury, the Kings could be without two other rotation players Tuesday against the Thunder.

Coach Mike Malone ruled forward Reggie Evans out before gametime with a back injury, and told The Oklahoman that Rudy Gay is also unlikely to play as a result of a back injury. Gay is still a game-time decision as a result of the injury.

Reggie Evans remains solid in start

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(3/12/2014) Kings forward Reggie Evans moved into the starting lineup Tuesday against the Pistons, though he was still just a role player in a 99-89 loss.

Evans played just 22 minutes off the bench, and put up a pretty representative statline. He scored six points on 3 of 6 shooting and added eight rebounds and three steals while turning the ball over twice in the loss.

Evans has struggled to find a consistent role this season, but has been playing well recently. He is averaging 8.0 points and 9.0 rebounds per game in 24.4 minutes over his last five.

Evans still swallowing up boards

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(4/6/2013) With how well Reggie Evans has rebounded over the last Month, you can forgive some of his Nets' teammates for their lackluster individual totals. Evans snagged 20 boards Saturday against the Nets, fully half of the team's total, in a 105-96 win. Evans also poured in 14 points on 5 of 7 shooting in 40 minutes of action.
