(4/10/2015) Thunder forward Nick Collison has been cleared to play in Friday's game against the Kings, reports The Oklahoman.

Collison has been out since March 20 with an ankle sprain and was considered questionable for the game. The Thunder will bring him off the bench Friday.

The Thunder are 13 1/2-point favorites.

Collison has been recovering from a sprained ankle. He's missed the last six games.

Collison, who recently signed a two-year extension with the Thunder, has averaged 4.1 points and 3.7 rebounds per game off the bench this season.

(2/27/2015) Thunder coach Scott Brooks told the media that center Enes Kanter will not play, Friday with a right thigh contusion. 

Brooks wasn't sure how long the injury would keep Kanter out of the lineup. Nick Collison will start in his place

(2/21/2015) The Thunder will start C Enes Kanter and F Kyle Singler at the Hornets on Saturday, according to Darnell Mayberry of the Oklahoman

Kanter starts in place of Steven Adams, who injured his hand Feb. 9 and is out for three weeks. He was acquired at Thursday's trade deadline and replaces Nick Collison in the starting lineup. Collison will come off the bench for the Thunder. 

Kyle Singler will also get the start for the Thunder, in place of injured Kevin Durant

The Thunder are 7.5 point favorites. 


Thunder sign Nick Collison to multi-year extension

(2/3/2015) The Oklahoma City Thunder announced Tuesday that they have agreed to a multi-year extension with forward Nick Collison.

According to Yahoo! Sports, it's a two-year contract for nearly $8 million.

Collison was taken with the 12th overall pick in the 2003 draft by the Seattle Supersonics, which later moved to Oklahoma City in 2008. Collison has spent his entire career with the same organization.

"We are excited that Nick Collison will continue his tenure with the Thunder. Since our arrival in 2008, Nick has helped us establish the standards on and off the floor that we work by on a day-to-day basis," Thunder executive vice present and general manager Sam Presti said in a statement. "He has accepted various roles, demonstrated professionalism in all aspects of his craft, and shown a commitment to an organizational philosophy that is rare in sports today. Nick is the type of player that will always be values in Oklahoma City, and we are thrilled he will continue to be a foundational member of the Thunder moving forward."


Thunder sit out Grant Jerrett, Mitch McGary vs. Raptors

With the two players sidelined, Sebastian Telfair, Kendrick Perkins and Nick Collison were the only players available off the bench for Oklahoma City.

(4/5/2014) Thunder forward Nick Collison, who received four staples to the head his last time out, logged 15 minutes off the bench against the Rockets on Friday.

Collison failed to make much of an impact, finishing with five points on 2 of 5 from the floor, and 1 of 1 from downtown. He also chipped in with four rebounds while logging 15 minutes of game action in a 111-107 loss. He is averaging 5.2 points and 4.2 rebounds over his last five games.

(4/3/2014) Thunder forward Nick Collison received four staples to the head after a nasty collision on Thursday against the Spurs.

While battling for a rebound, Collison took an elbow to the head from Jeff Ayres. He left the game in the third quarter and was unable to return. He finished with four points, two assists and one steal while logging 13 minutes of game action. He'll look to return to action Friday in Houston.

"It's one of those that's awesome with the blood coming down your face because you get the credibility," Collison said after the game, per CBSSports.com.

(2/12/2014) Thunder forward Nick Collison put together a solid game Tuesday against the Trail Blazers, as he was perfect from the field in a 98-95 win.

Collison scored nine points on 4 of 4 shooting, but he played just 23 minutes off the bench. He added four rebounds and one assists without a turnover in the win.

Collison continues to do what he does, impacting games without doing much on the box score. The veteran is averaging just 4.4 points and 3.5 rebounds per game for the season.

(1/10/2014) After scoring eight points in three consecutive games, Thunder forward Nick Collison was held entirely scoreless in a 101-88 loss to the Nuggets Thursday. Collison attempted just one field-goal in 13 minutes, and added only one rebound and two turnovers in the loss.  

Collison is averaging just 4.5 points per game while appearing in all but one of the team's games.

Collison continues to make much more of an impact on the floor than in the box score. He is averaging a career-low 4.1 points and 3.4 rebounds per game on the season.

Collison's absence could lead to more playing time for rookie Steven Adams against Washington. Adams scored 17 points and hauled in 10 rebounds while blocking three shots in a season-high 31 minutes Friday.
