Kyle Korver's three-point streak ends at 127 games

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(3/6/2014) If you could count on one thing in the NBA over the last two seasons, it was Hawks guard Kyle Korver finishing a game with at least one 3-pointer made. He had made at least one three in 127 games in a row entering Wednesday, but saw his historic streak come to an end thanks to a cold shooting night against the Trail Blazers.

Korver made just one of his nine field-goal attempts in the game, with his lone make coming on a 2-pointer. He missed all five of his attempts from three-point range, just the ninth time in his career he has failed to knock down a try from long range while attempting at least five. He finished the game with five points, three assists and two rebounds in 28 minutes, as the Hawks fell, 102-78.

Korver is liable to start another streak as soon as the Hawks take the floor next, despite his uncharacteristic cold shooting performance. He is still leading the league in three-point percentage, having made 47.6 percent of his 311 attempts. Korver is averaging 12.1 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game for the season.
