Mavericks acquire C Zaza Pachulia from Bucks

(7/9/2015) The Mavericks have acquired veteran center Zaza Pachulia from the Bucks on Thursday, sources told Yahoo Sports.

Pachulia will fill the void left when DeAndre Jordan spurned Dallas and returned to the Clippers in free agency. The Mavericks will send a second-round pick to the Mavericks in return for the big man.

Pachulia averaged 8.3 points and 6.8 rebounds per game for the Bucks last season.

(4/20/2015) Bucks center Zaza Pachulia was ejected from Game 2's loss to the Bulls after receiving his second technical foul of the game, reports the Chicago Tribune.

Pachulia got into a confrontation with Bulls forward Nikola Mirotic in the fourth quarter and both players were assessed technical fouls. Pachulia scored seven points and grabbed six rebounds before being ejected.

(3/21/2015) Zaza Pachulia scored 22 points and grabbed 21 rebounds in the Bucks' 129-127 triple-overtime loss to the Nets on Friday. 

Pachulia's night included 18 offensive rebounds. He also dished out seven assists. 

He recorded season highs in points and assists, and his rebounding total was a Bucks' season high. 

The Bucks next host the Cavaliers on Sunday.

Pachulia shot 5-9 from the field. He sunk three of his four free throws, finishing with 13 points. Pachulia was active on the boards, pulling down 11 rebounds. He added four assists and two steals during the contest.

(2/10/2015) Bucks center Zaza Pachulia scored five points on 1 of 6 shooting from the field and grabbed five rebounds in his first game back on the court after missing six straight with a calf injury.

"He gave us some great minutes, defensively and offensively," Bucks coach Jason Kidd said. "We're happy to have him back and be able to have him come out there and finish the game. I thought that was great."

Pachulia played just 16 minutes off the bench, but Kidd is hoping he can help lighten the load for John Henson.

"It's always good to get those guys back into the fold before all-star break," Kidd said. "Especially with the long break."

Ilyasova returned to action Friday against the Rockets, but may still be limited until he's back at 100 percent. Pachulia has been sidelined since Jan. 27 with a strained right calf. Martin, who recently joined the Bucks, has missed back-to-back games due to left ankle soreness.

Ilyasova, who was listed as questionable to face the Rockets, has missed the team's last four games while recovering from a groin injury. He has averaged 9.3 points and 3.8 rebounds while shooting 47.8 percent in 26 games.

Pachulia, who was also questionable to play Friday, will miss his fifth straight game due to a right calf strain. He has averaged 7.9 points and 6.6 rebounds while shooting 44.5 percent in 42 games.

Report: Larry Sanders told brass he doesn't want to play anymore

(1/5/2015) Bucks center Larry Sanders told some team officials recently that he doesn't want to play basketball anymore, reports the Racine (Wisc.) Journal Times. Sanders, 26, has missed the past six games for what the team called "personal issues."

In August 2013, Sanders signed a four-year, $44 million contract extension through 2017. He averaged 7.3 points and 6.1 rebounds in 27 games this year.

The Bucks are going with Zaza Pachulia and John Henson at center.

(1/2/2015) Bucks coach Jason Kidd told reporters Friday center Larry Sanders is dealing with personal issues which is why he won’t play in Friday’s game against the Pacers, reports Fox Sports Wisconsin.

"It's personal. There's nothing I can give you more," Kidd said. "That's the way the question will be answered."

There is no timetable on when Sanders will return. Zaza Pachulia is expected to see an increase in minutes with Sanders out.

The Bucks are 2-point favorites over the Pacers.
