Wade, Dragic among long list of banged-up Heat

(4/6/2015) In advance of Tuesday's huge game against the Hornets, the Heat listed seven players as probable, including Dwyane Wade (knee) and Goran Dragic (back), per the Miami Herald

They join Zoran Dragic, Udonis Haslem Mario Chalmers, Tyler Johnson and Henry Walker on the probable list, while Hassan Whiteside (hand) and Luol Deng (knee) are listed as questionable.

However, with the Heat desperately trying to snag the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference, expect most of the team's walking wounded to play.

(4/4/2015) Forward Udonis Haslem will return to the Heat Saturday in Detroit and be in the starting lineup, the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Haslem missed the Heat's last two games due to an illness.

It will be the second-consecutive game Haslem has missed due to the illness. Forwards Michael Beasley and Henry Walker will see their roles increase with Haslem out.

The Heat are 10 1/2-point underdogs.

Luol Deng, who missed Tuesday's game against the Spurs with a knee issue, took part in shootaround. He told reporters he will suit up and guard LeBron James on Thursday.

Miami is a 9 1/2-point underdog at Cleveland, per VegasInsider.com.

(3/30/2015) Heat power forward Udonis Haslem has been playing with two slightly sprained ankles and a sore left knee, reports the Miami Herald.

With center Hassan Whiteside and power forward Chris Andersen already dealing with minor injuries, Haslem has not missed any games.

Haslem is averaging 15.6 minutes a game this season but has seen that time increased the last three games to about 33 minutes per.

Wade missed Wednesday’s shootaround with an illness, Haslem is bothered by knee and wrist injuries and Andersen is dealing with a sprained ankle. In addition, center Hassan Whiteside will be serving a one-game suspension.

Expect forward Michael Beasley to see increased playing time due to the frontcourt losses.

X-rays were negative, and the AP's Tim Reynolds reported that he would play against the Knicks.

Wade has an ankle injury and Whiteside has a hamstring ailment.

Also questionable are forward Udonis Haslem (wrist) and forward Shawne Williams (hip).

Wade has missed the past five games and Whiteside missed Friday's game against the Spurs. Haslem previously said he'd be ready for Monday's game after injuring his wrist against the Spurs. Williams has missed hte previous three games.

(2/8/2015) After Sunday's practice, Heat forward Udonis Haslem said he is over his wrist injury and he will be available to play in Monday's game against the Knicks, the team announced.

"I'll be ready for [the] next game," Haslem said.

Haslem suffered the wrist injury during Friday's loss to the Spurs. Meanwhile, forward Shawne Williams has missed the last three games because of a hip injury, but coach Erik Spoelstra said Williams is making progress. He is questionable for Monday's game.

(2/6/2015) Heat power forward Udonis Haslem left Friday's game against the Spurs with a left wrist injury and will not return, the team announced.

The results of X-rays on the injured wrist came back clean, but Haslem will be re-examined when the team returns to Miami. He said after the game that he lost feeling in his injured hand for an extended period of time, the Miami Herald reports.

"Went up for a shot with my right hand, caught myself on the way down with my left hand and it bent back," Haslem said, per the Sun Sentinel. "When I got up, I couldn't feel my hand for a second. Actually, for a while I couldn't feel it fully. It had some pain and some swelling."

The Heat were also without Hassan Whiteside and Shawne Williams in Friday's game. Haslem finished with two points on 1 of 3 shooting in four minutes.

(11/9/2014) Heat power forward Udonis Haslem scored six points on 2 of 3 shooting while playing 19 minutes in his team's 105-96 win over the Mavericks Sunday.

Haslem was listed as questionable to play Sunday with a persistent quad injury but managed to take the court for both games of a back-to-back this weekend. He chipped in five rebounds, one assist and one block in the win. The Heat will get a few days' rest before facing the Pacers Wednesday.
