Heat's Udonis Haslem will play Monday

(2/9/2015) Heat PF Udonis Haslem is available and will play, Monday, against the Knicks. 

Haslem was questionable for the game after suffering a left wrist injury during Friday's game. 

X-rays were negative, and the AP's Tim Reynolds reported that he would play against the Knicks. 

The Heat are four-point favorites against the visiting Knicks. 


Heat's Dwyane Wade, Hassan Whiteside questionable

(2/9/2015) Heat guard Dwyane Wade and center Hassan Whiteside are questionable for Monday night's game against the Knicks.

Wade has an ankle injury and Whiteside has a hamstring ailment.

Also questionable are forward Udonis Haslem (wrist) and forward Shawne Williams (hip).

Wade has missed the past five games and Whiteside missed Friday's game against the Spurs. Haslem previously said he'd be ready for Monday's game after injuring his wrist against the Spurs. Williams has missed hte previous three games.

(2/8/2015) After Sunday's practice, Heat forward Udonis Haslem said he is over his wrist injury and he will be available to play in Monday's game against the Knicks, the team announced.

"I'll be ready for [the] next game," Haslem said.

Haslem suffered the wrist injury during Friday's loss to the Spurs. Meanwhile, forward Shawne Williams has missed the last three games because of a hip injury, but coach Erik Spoelstra said Williams is making progress. He is questionable for Monday's game.

(2/6/2015) Heat power forward Udonis Haslem left Friday's game against the Spurs with a left wrist injury and will not return, the team announced.

The results of X-rays on the injured wrist came back clean, but Haslem will be re-examined when the team returns to Miami. He said after the game that he lost feeling in his injured hand for an extended period of time, the Miami Herald reports.

"Went up for a shot with my right hand, caught myself on the way down with my left hand and it bent back," Haslem said, per the Sun Sentinel. "When I got up, I couldn't feel my hand for a second. Actually, for a while I couldn't feel it fully. It had some pain and some swelling."

The Heat were also without Hassan Whiteside and Shawne Williams in Friday's game. Haslem finished with two points on 1 of 3 shooting in four minutes.

(11/9/2014) Heat power forward Udonis Haslem scored six points on 2 of 3 shooting while playing 19 minutes in his team's 105-96 win over the Mavericks Sunday.

Haslem was listed as questionable to play Sunday with a persistent quad injury but managed to take the court for both games of a back-to-back this weekend. He chipped in five rebounds, one assist and one block in the win. The Heat will get a few days' rest before facing the Pacers Wednesday.

Haslem has been dealing with a quad strain but was able to play 14 minutes Saturday, scoring eight points and grabbing six rebounds. Granger has yet to play this season while dealing with a left hamstring strain.

Granger underwent knee surgery in July but is now being bothered by a hamstring issue. Haslem was held out of his team's final preseason game for what was thought to be rest purposes.

(7/15/2014) The Heat have agreed to a deal with forward Udonis Haslem according to the Sun-Sentinel after he opted out of the final year of his last contract.

Haslem turned down $4.6 million for next season and will now make $5.6 over the next two seasons. His salary will start at $2.7 million next season, after he averaged 3.8 points and 3.8 rebounds in 46 games in 2013-14 for the Heat.

(6/29/2014) Heat forward Udonis Haslem has opted out of his deal for 2014-15, as his agent informed team president Pat Riley Saturday.

Haslem was to be paid $4.62 million next season, but BleacherReport.com reports he is looking to return to the team on a longer-term deal with a lower annual salary. He averaged just 3.8 points and 3.4 rebounds in 46 games a year ago. 


Udonis Haslem falls short of first double-double

(4/12/2014) Heat forward Udonis Haslem continued his solid play Friday against the Pacers, in his first game back following a two-game absence due to an illness.

Haslem played 31 minutes in the game had a big impact, nearly recording his first double-double of the season. He scored 11 points on 5 of 7 shooting and added nine rebounds and a steal, in the 98-86 win.

Haslem is pretty much averaging career lows across the board, putting up 3.3 points and 3.3 rebounds per game in 43 appearances this season. Still, he has improved his play since finding his way back into the rotation recently, averaging 8.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per game in the month of April.

(3/29/2014) Heat forward Udonis Haslem got the start on Friday, and lead the way with a team-high 17 points in a 110-78 victory over the Pistons in Detroit.

Haslem got off to a fast start, scoring 12 of his 17 points in the first quarter. He shot 8 of 11 from the floor, and 1 of 2 from the free throw line. He also chipped in with five rebounds and one block while logging 21 minutes of game action. He's averaging just 6.0 points and 4.8 rebounds over his last four games.
