Ben Gordon expects to be ready for start of season

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com

He told the Charlotte Observer he plans to be ready by the time the team opens the season against the Rockets Oct. 30.

"By game night? Yeah, definitely," Gordon said. "It usually takes about a week for the swelling to go down. I'll do a little more each day without overdoing it."

Gordon underwent a platelet-rich plasma injection, something he has had done in his knees in the past. He was back at practice participating in individual drills Tuesday. He is likely to miss the final two preseason games.
