Warriors' Andre Iguodala scores season-high 17 vs. Jazz

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(11/22/2014) Warriors shooting guard Andre Iguodala scored a season-high 17 points on 7 of 8 shooting, including 2 of 2 shooting from behind the arc, in his team's 101-88 win over the Jazz Friday.

It wasn't a typical night for the Warriors, as the team shot out to a 28-13 lead in the first quarter and maintained a huge lead throughout. Iguodala played 25 minutes off the bench during his sharpshooting performance, delivering his second straight double-digit performance but only his third such performance of the season. He also kicked in three rebounds and one assist in the win. The Warriors are set to take on the Thunder Sunday.

Kerr: Not worried about Warriors' Andre Iguodala 'at all'

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(11/12/2014) Warriors guard Andre Iguodala has endured considerable struggles over his last two games, but coach Steve Kerr said Wednesday he wasn't worried about Iguodala "at all," the Contra Costa Times reports.

"I thought (Iguodala's rough night against the Spurs) was just one of those games," Kerr said. "The Phoenix game, I didn't use him the right way. I wore him down a little bit on the second night of a back-to-back. But he was brilliant against Houston. His defense changed the game for us.

"It's part of being in the NBA. There are ups and downs. I'm not worried about Andre at all. He's one of our captains. He's one of our smartest players. We're figuring out some things, though. We're new together, and we're trying to play with some different rotations."

Iguodala scored just three points in 53 mintues over his last two games while adding five rebounds and two assists. He'll look for a bounce-back performance Thursday against the Nets.

Andre Iguodala's value taking a hit

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(11/12/2014) At the Fantasy Basketball Today blog Wednesday, I took a look at a handful of players who have gotten off to slow starts to the season, to see how Fantasy owners should handle them. Among the toughest to gauge is Warriors forward Andre Iguodala, who is off to a disastrous start so far:

"The Warriors have had a lot of trouble getting production from the bench since last season, and new coach Steve Kerr thought he might address that by moving Iguodala there. That has been a disaster so far, as the team's second unit, led by Iguodala and Shaun Livingston, have struggled mightily. Iguodala's production has cratered so far, and his per-minute numbers are down across the board as well. He might move back to the starting lineup at some point, but at this point, I'm not even sure that can save him. He hasn't looked right since the first half of last season."

Iguodala is probably still worth rostering, and if the owner who has him in your league wants to get rid of him, he might be worth a flier. But you won't want to give up anything of value at ths point.

Warriors SG Andre Iguodala thrives Tuesday off bench

by Marty Gitlin | CBSSports.com
(10/15/2014) Warriors veteran shooting guard Andre Iguodala has never come off the bench in a regular season game, but Steve Kerr does not appear averse to that scenario this season.

Wearing a protective mask over his broken nose, Iguodala piled up eight assists without a turnover Tuesday night in a lopsided defeat of the Lakers. And though Kerr has mentioned him as a probable starter, he liked what he saw from Iguodala in a reserve role.

"I thought Andre was brilliant, and I don't know that (coming off the bench is) the route we're going to go, but he solidified that unit, and our lead went up when he subbed in, which was encouraging," Kerr told InsideBayArea.com.

Iguodala tried to take a mature mental and emotional approach. "It's just growing up, being smart about the situation," he said. "You could do the opposite and kind of just tank it just to say that it's wrong. But like I said, our whole focus with this team is to try to continue to improve and make the most of our unit, and we have so much depth, there are opportunities for us to get where everybody wants to be."

Iguodala averaged 9.3 points in 32 minutes per game last season. It was his lowest scoring output since his rookie season.

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(9/29/2014) Warriors guard Andre Iguodala told reporters he had a stem cell platelet-rich plasma injection in his knee, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

Iguodala suffered from right knee tendinitis and left hip soreness last season. As a result, he was limited to 63 starts, averaging 9.3 points and 4.7 rebounds per game -- both career-lows. When asked if Iguodala could start at small forward earlier in the week, head coach Steve Kerr told the Bay Area News Group that "everything's open."

(4/2/2014) Warriors guard Andre Iguodala got the night off Wednesday against the Spurs in order to rest his right knee, as he continues to deal with tendinitis in the knee. The Warriors played Tuesday, so Iguodala is sitting out more as a precaution on a back to back.

He recently missed three games due to this injury, and it looks like it could be something the team attempts to manage heading into the playoffs.

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(3/29/2014) Warriors guard Andre Iguodala returned to action on Friday, but did little offensively, scoring just five points in a 100-93 victory over the Grizzlies.

Long break has Andre Iguodala returning to health

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(3/25/2014) Warriors guard Andre Iguodala might end up missing just three games, as his well-timed shutdown due to knee tendinitis is nearing an end.

Iguodala, who has not played since March 16 due to the injury, told the Bay Area News group he plans to be back on the court for Friday's game against the Grizzlies. Despite missing just three games total, Iguodala will end up getting nearly two weeks off, thanks to a scheduling quirk that gave the Warriors five days off between games.

Iguodala has been able to practice in recent days, and should be back in the starting lineup by Friday.

Andre Iguodala ruled out for three games with knee issue

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(3/18/2014) Warriors guard Andre Iguodala will be out at least 10 days due to knee tendinitis, the team announced Tuesday. Iguodala has been ruled out for the next three games, putting his next possible appearance March 28 against the Grizzlies.

Iguodala has been trying to play through the issue over the last few days, but it has clearly gotten to be too much. He will likely be replaced by Harrison Barnes in the starting lineup.

Andre Iguodala plays through finger issue

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(3/5/2014) Warriors guard Andre Iguodala did not seem limited much Wednesday by the dislocated finger he suffered the previous night, as he was able to play 23 minutes in a 108-88 win over the Celtics.

Iguodala probably could have played more, but the Warriors didn't exactly need him to in a big win. He finished the game with 11 points on 5 of 9 shooting, and added four rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in the 20-point win.

Iguodala popped the finger back into place Tuesday and played through it, so it wasn't a big surprise that he was back on the floor Wednesday. He remains a starter for the Warriors but isn't putting up great numbers; his 9.3 points and 3.4 assists per game represent his lowest averages since his rookie and sophomore seasons respectively.

Andre Iguodala expected to play Wednesday

Andre Iguodala limited by dislocated finger

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(3/4/2014) Warriors guard Andre Iguodala was limited for parts of Tuesday's game against the Pacers, due to a dislocated finger. He dislocated his right index finger, but had it popped in and was able to return late in the 98-96 win.

Iguodala missed nearly 15 minutes of action in the second half, but was back in for the final two minutes of the win. He finished the game with just six points on 3 of 9 shooting, while adding just two rebounds and one assist in 23 minutes.

After the game, he told the San Francisco Chronicle that he had X-rays taken on the finger, which came back negative. That he was able to play through it is a good sign, but it is not yet clear if this will be a lingering issue. The Warriors play again Wednesday against Boston.
