Warriors G Shaun Livingston plays in opening win

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(10/30/2014) Warriors guard Shaun Livingston managed to play four minutes in the team's 95-77 win over the Kings in Wednesday's regular-season opener.

Livingston said during the preseason that he was targeting the opener for his return from a toe injury after coach Steve Kerr said that he expected the guard to miss the first two weeks, and Livingston did in fact make it on to the court in the first game, though he didn't record any statistics aside from the four minutes of action. The Warriors will face the Lakers Saturday, and Livingston should have a bigger role in that game, provided he didn't encounter a setback in Wednesday's limited acton.

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(10/29/2014) Warriors guard Shaun Livingston (toe) has been upgraded to questionable for Wednesday's regular-season opener against the Kings, the San Jose Mercury News reports.

Earlier Wednesday, it was reported that Livingston would make his season debut Saturday in the team's second game of the season, but he's active on Wednesday and it appears he has a shot of seeing some minutes in the opener.

Report: Warriors' Shaun Livingston set for Saturday debut

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(10/29/2014) Warriors guard Shaun Livingston (toe) will make his season debut Saturday against the Lakers, Yahoo! Sports reports.

Livingston will miss the team's season opener Wednesday, but if the report is accurate, that will be his only game out due to injury. He was initially expected by coach Steve Kerr to miss the first two weeks of the season, but the guard maintained he was targeting the opener for his return. He missed that target, but it appears he won't miss it by much.

Livingston, Rush expected to miss Warriors' opener

by Michael Hurcomb | CBSSports.com
(10/29/2014) Warriors coach Steve Kerr said he doesn't expect guard Brandon Rush (back) or guard Shaun Livingston (toe) to play in Wednesday's season opener against the Kings, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

Warriors' Brandon Rush, Shaun Livingston limited in practice

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(10/27/2014) Warriors guards Brandon Rush and Shaun Livingston were both limited participants in practice on Monday, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. Rush was downgraded to questionable because of back injury and Livingston remains doubtful for opening night against the Kings on Wednesday because of a toe injury.

Kerr: 'Highly doubtful' Warriors' Shaun Livingston plays in opener

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(10/21/2014) Warriors coach Steve Kerr said that it's "highly doubtful" guard Shaun Livingston (toe) plays in the season opener next Wednesday, Yahoo! Sports reports.

Livingston had offseason toe surgery and was reported to be targeting a return by the regular-season opener, but it appears he won't reach that goal. He averaged 8.3 points per game on 48.3 percent shooting for Brooklyn last season.

Warriors' Shaun Livingston still targeting return on opening night

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(9/29/2014) Warriors backup point guard Shaun Livingston is aiming to be ready for opening night, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. He was previously expected to miss the first two weeks of the season. Livingston had offseason toe surgery and the recovery process could keep him out for the majority of training camp.

Shaun Livingston to miss first two weeks of season

by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com
(9/26/2014) Warriors head coach Steve Kerr told reporters that guard Shaun Livingston will likely miss the first two weeks of the regular season while he recovers from offseason toe injury, the Bay Area News Group reports. Livingston is still in a walking boot and will need to get back in game shape before he is cleared for action.

"That was back in May, and (he) has not really been running on the floor since," Kerr said. "So he’s doing much better. The toe is healed. But he needs a few weeks on the court running and getting his conditioning and his strength and his timing before he's really ready to get into a game. So I anticipate he’s going to miss a couple of weeks of the regular season, but we'll see how it goes."

Shaun Livingston dealing with offseason toe injury

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(7/12/2014) Warriors guard Shaun Livingston will spend part of his offseason recovering from an injury, as reported by the Bay Area News Group.

Livingston suffered a sprained right big toe during his playoff run with the Nets, and has been put in a cast to immobilize the toe. He will wear the cast 3-to-4 weeks before being re-evaluated, but at this point there is no reason to think this injury will impact him when the season begins in five months.

Livingston signed a three-year deal with the Warriors at the start of free agency, likely to serve as the team's backup point guard. He averaged 8.3 points, 3.2 assists and 3.2 rebounds while appearing in a career-high 76 games last season.

Warriors sign Shaun Livingston for three years

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(7/2/2014) The Warriors have agreed to a deal with unrestricted free agent guard Shaun Livingston Tuesday, just hours after teams were first allowed to speak with players.

Yahoo.com reports the contract will pay Livingston $16 million over three years, with the final season of the deal partially guaranteed. Livingston will likely serve as a backup for the Warriors, after starting 54 games for the Nets a year ago.

Livingston averaged 8.3 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 76 games with the Nets, the latter of which is a career-high number.

Nets trio proves healthy as postseason opens

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(4/19/2014) The Nets rested a slew of starters late in the regular season, and they were healthy enough to play in Saturday's postseason opener against the Raptors Saturday as a result.

Guards Joe Johnson, Deron Williams and Shaun Livingston were all in the starting lineup and playing their usual roles Saturday, after getting time off to rest their various maladies. Johnson led the trio with 45 minutes played, but Williams logged 39 and Livingston played 29 minutes of his own in the 94-87 win.

Williams and Johnson tied for the team lead with 24 points scored, though Johnson was more efficient, shooting 8 of 13 from the field compared to Williams' 8-for-20 mark. Livingston brought up the rear with 10 points on 4 of 6 shooting as well.

With extra time off, the Nets should be able to keep their sometimes fragile roster healthy in the postseason. Johnson led the team with 79 games played this season, while Livingston appeared in 75 games and Williams play 64.

Nets resting entire starting lineup

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(4/16/2014) The Nets will be without their entire starting lineup for Wednesday's finale in Cleveland, though health is not a big concern heading into the playoffs. Livingston played a big role in the game, scoring 13 points on 5 of 11 shooting while filling up the box score well. He added seven rebounds, four assists, three steals and one block to make up for four turnovers in 38 minutes in the win.

Shaun Livingston invisible in return

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(2/27/2014) Nets guard Shaun Livingston was back on the floor after missing one game with a back injury, but struggled to make any kind of impact in a 124-80 loss to the Blazers.

Livingston was scoreless in 12 minutes, while missing all three of his field-goal attempts in the game. He added just two assists and turned the ball over once in the blowout loss.

Livingston has been productive at times this season, but is averaging just 7.8 points and 2.9 assists per game in the month of February.

He also recorded five rebounds and three assists in 21 minutes Wednesday. Livingston has averaged 7.7 points, 3.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists over 50 games played.

Shaun Livingston still starting

by Chris Towers | CBSSports.com
(2/1/2014) Nets guard Shaun Livingston put together another strong performance Saturday against the Pacers, in a 97-96 loss.

Livingston remained in the starting lineup for the game, sliding over to shooting guard with Deron Williams' return. He led the team with 24 points on 10 of 18 shooting in the game, though his impact on the rest of the box score was more limited. He added three rebounds, two assists and one steal in 35 minutes.

Williams has been playing 30-plus minutes since coming back from ankle injuries, but the Nets' willingness to play small lineups more has helped him stay on the floor. He is averaging  12.4 points and 1.8 assists per game over the last five.

by R.J. White | CBSSports.com
(1/31/2014) Nets guard Shaun Livingston scored a team-high 16 points on 6 of 8 shooting in his team's 120-95 loss to the Thunder Friday.

The game wasn't even as close as a 25-point deficit would suggest, as the Thunder were up 30 after three quarters and held out key plays for the entire fourth quarter. Livingston had his best offensive performance since his 51-minute game against the Heat three weeks ago. He also chipped in four rebounds, three steals and one assist in 29 minutes. Livingston has averaged 7.5 points, 3.1 assists and 3.1 rebounds over 44 games played.
