News: 76ers guard Damien Wilkins has had the green light to shoot since joining the starting lineup, and the negative side of that showed Saturday against the Heat. Wilkins shot just 3 of 10 for seven points, while adding just three rebounds and two steals in 32 minutes of action. The 76ers lost the game, 106-87.
Analysis: Wilkins is averaging 10.0 field-goal attempts over the last six games, with 13.8 points per game to show for it. He does not do a whole lot else, but has emerged as an unlikely low-end Fantasy contributor down the stretch.
News: 76ers guard Damien Wilkins had his best performance of the season Thursday, in a close loss to the Nuggets. He scored a season-high 24 points on 10 of 15 shooting, with a pair of 3-pointers made. Wilkins added two assists, one rebound and four steals, while playing 39 minutes in a 101-100 loss.
Analysis: Wilkins has now started seven games in a row, averaging 12.3 points and 3.6 assists per game in that stretch. He is shooting an unsustainable 54.7 percent from the field during that span, but might be worth a look in deeper Fantasy formats down the stretch if he keeps starting.
News: After scoring 21 points his last time out, 76ers guard Damien Wilkins made his first start of the season on Sunday against the Magic. He finished with 16 points and dished out six assists in the 99-91 loss. He went 6 for 12 from the field, including 1 for 3 from downtown, and made all three of his free throws. Wilkins also blocked three shots and posted a rebound while playing 37 minutes.
Analysis: Wilkins has seen a boost in playing time of late and is starting to take advantage of his increased role. The 33-year-old has never been a huge scorer, however, so the likelihood of this continuing is low. Continue to ignore Wilkins in the majority of Fantasy formats.
News: 76ers guard Damien Wilkins did not make much of an impact in Tuesday's contest against the Celtics. Wilkins only logged 11 minutes off the bench and finished with just two points on 1 of 4 shooting. He also chipped in with a rebound and an assist in a 109-101 defeat.
Analysis: After scoring 14 points on Feb. 26 against the Magic, Wilkins has totaled just eight points over the last 33 minutes of game action in his last two games played. The 33-year-old is stuck at the back-end of Philadelphia's rotation and has marginal Fantasy value. He is averaging 2.6 points and 1.1 rebounds per game this season and should be ignored in all formats moving forward.
News: Philadelphia guards Jeremy Pargo and Damien Wilkins came off the bench to tie for the team lead in scoring on Tuesday in a loss to the Magic. Pargo and Wilkins each scored 14 points in the game in less than 30 minutes on the court. Pargo went 5 of 8 from the field over 21 minutes with two 3-pointers and three assists. Wilkins played 29 minutes and shot 6 of 12 from the field with four assists, a steal and a rebound.
Analysis: The 33-year-old Wilkins often sees little to no minutes for Philadelphia as he is not a regular member of the team's rotation. If Wilkins is leading the team in scoring, something is going wrong for the 76ers. Wilkins has low-end Fantasy value in all leagues and formats moving forward.
News: Philadelphia guard Damien Wilkins played an excellent game on Wednesday as the second half of the NBA season opened at Minnesota. Wilkins saw a season-high 26 minutes in the game as he went 5 of 10 from the field for a season-high 13 points to lead his team in bench scoring. He grabbed three rebounds and added two assists for the 76ers.
Analysis: Wilkins had played a grand total of 24 minutes in the team's previous five games combined. He doesn't often see a lot of run and we doubt he will all of a sudden start now. Unless we're wrong about that, the 33-year-old guard has little to no Fantasy value in all formats.
News: 76ers guard Damien Wilkins saw his most extended playing time of the season on Tuesday night against the Nets. He played 21 minutes off the bench and scored six points in the 109-89 loss. He went 3 for 6 from the field and missed his lone free throw. Wilkins also posted four rebounds and an assist in the defeat.
Analysis: Wilkins does not have a huge role off the bench in Philadelphia and poses minimal appeal in Fantasy at this point. Continue to ignore him in all formats.
News: 76ers guard Damien Wilkins was able to get back on the court for Philadelphia's contest against the Pacers Friday night. Wilkins, who had missed the previous two games with a calf injury, finished with two points, one rebound and one assist while logging four minutes of game action.
Analysis: Wilkins is merely a reserve guard for the 76ers, who is usually one of the last players off coach Doug Collins' bench. Even when healthy, Wilkins should not be owned in the majority of formats.
News: Philadelphia guard Damien Wilkins continues to deal with a groin strain and was not in uniform for Wednesday's game against Chicago. He is day to day.
Analysis: Wilkins has averaged 7.3 minutes per game this season and has played in only 12 games. He has almost no Fantasy value, healthy or not.
News: Philadelphia guard Damien Wilkins missed Monday's game versus Detroit due to a strained right calf, reports the team's official site. Wilkins is day to day.
Analysis: Wilkins has averaged 7.3 minutes per game this season and has played in only 12 games. He has almost no Fantasy value, healthy or not.
News: Veteran G Damien Wilkins hasnt given the Pistons much production in his time on the bench this season, but he had one of his finest games on Wednesday against Miami as Lawrence Frank inserted him into the starting lineup amid a rash of injuries. Wilkins scored nine points on 4 of 9 shooting from the field while adding three rebounds, two assists and a three-pointer in the game. He played 34 minutes in the 101-98 loss to the Heat.
Analysis: The 32-year old has seen his playing time increase recently, as the Pistons have been dealing with a lot of absences on the perimeter. He has now topped his season average of 16 minutes per game over each of his last three games. Despite that, he has not done much with this playing time overall, as he is now averaging just 3.5 points per game on the season. He does not have more than very low-end Fantasy value in deep leagues.
News: Pistons guard Damien Wilkins missed Sunday's game against Golden State due to a family issue. Wilkins should return shortly for Detroit. Wilkins is averaging 4.1 points per game this season for Detroit over 17.2 minutes per night.
Analysis: Wilkins won't be missed much on Sunday and should return for Detroit's next game. He's averaging 5.8 points per game over his last five, seeing a boost in scoring, but is doing nothing else that would excite Fantasy owners. Wilkins has low-end Fantasy value, at best, for the time being.
News: Pistons G Damien Wilkins made the most of his minutes during Friday night's contest against the Bobcats. Wilkins finished with seven points in the 98-81 contest on 3 of 4 shooting from the field. He made his lone attempt from downtown and also chipped in three assists, one rebound and a steal, while logging 16 minutes off the bench.
Analysis: Wilkins saw some extended minutes on Friday with the game already out of reach, which usually isn't the case. The 30-year-old spends most of his time buried on Detroit's bench as he is averaging just over 15 minutes per contest. Unless Wilkins sees a major increase in minutes and production, leave him on the bench heading into Fantasy Week 4 (Jan. 16-22).
News: The Pistons signed guard Damien Wilkins on Saturday.
Analysis: Wilkins spent last year with Atlanta and played in 52 games. He's not expected to be a major contributor and has low-end Fantasy value.
News: Hawks guard Damien Wilkins hasn't been much of a factor in the first half of the season. Wilkins, who first signed with the Hawks back in December, has appeared in 28 games for Atlanta, and is averaging 11.8 minutes per contest. His best game of the season came against the Sixers when he notched 12 points, four rebounds and two assists in 23 minutes off the bench back on Feb. 8. Wilkins is averaging 2.8 points and 1.6 rebounds on the year.
Analysis: Wilkins was first signed when Joe Johnson went down with an elbow injury. He was ultimately released before being signed to a pair of 10-day contracts before eventually being retained for the season. Wilkins has appeared in 28 games -- all as a reserve -- but is averaging just 11.8 minutes per game. He is usually one of the last players off the bench for coach Larry Drew and gets most of his run during garbage time. Unless there is a major injury to the Hawks' backcourt, Wilkins won't have much Fantasy value in the second half of the season. Leave him on the waiver wire.
News: The Hawks announced Friday the signing of swingman Damien Wilkins for the remainder of the season. Wilkins, the nephew of Hawks legend Dominique Wilkins and son of former NBA player Gerald Wilkins, was on a second 10-day contract.
Analysis: Wilkins has appeared in 20 games as a reserve this season, averaging 2.6 points and 1.8 rebounds in 12.3 minutes while shooting 45 percent from the field. The Hawks originally signed Wilkins on Dec. 3 after guard Joe Johnson had elbow surgery. Continue to ignore him in Fantasy play for the time being.
News: According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Hawks guard Damien Wilkins has been giving his team some versatility with so many injuries lately. He played three different positions for the Hawks on Saturday as his second 10-day contract is set to expire. "Coach (Drew) told me a couple days ago that he was going to start doing that, just moving me around the floor to take advantage of some matchups and make teams adjust to us," he said.
Analysis: While Wilkins is sticking around in Atlanta, playing on 10-day contracts doesn't exactly give him too much Fantasy value. Once his teammates are healthy, he'll go back to the bench or to the D-League. He's only averaging 2.4 points and 2.0 boards over his last five games, but those numbers don't warrant any attention in any Fantasy league.
News: The Hawks have signed swingman Damien Wilkins to a second 10-day contract. The team announced the move on Tuesday before the Hawks faced the Heat. Wilkins has appeared in 17 games for Atlanta, averaging 2.4 points per game. He initially was signed while Joe Johnson recovered from surgery on his right elbow.
Analysis: Wilkins has minimal Fantasy value even though he's back with the Hawks. Ignore him in all leagues since he isn't expected to post quality stats.
News: Atlanta signed guard Damien Wilkins, who they just waived, to a 10-day contract on Saturday.
Analysis: Wilkins played in 13 games off the bench for Atlanta this year before being waived the first time. He averaged 2.5 points, 1.8 rebounds and 0.7 steals per game. Wilkins on the back of a Hawks jersey doesn't mean what it used to. He has no Fantasy value.
News: The Hawks waived G/F Damien Wilkins on Wednesday. The move came five days before the date in which the team would have had to guarantee his salary for the remainder of the season if he were on the roster.
Analysis: Wilkins, a veteran of seven NBA seasons, averaged 13.1 minutes and 2.5 points in 13 games. He can obviously continue to be ignored in Fantasy play.
News: Atlanta guard Damien Wilkins had his best game of the season as a member of the Hawks on Thursday night against the Celtics. He shot 2 for 4 from the field and connected on 3 of his 4 foul shots, finishing with a season-high seven points. He would also grab three rebounds in his 19 minutes on the court. Atlanta would lose to Boston, 102-90.
Analysis: Wilkins is getting more playing time with Maurice Evans dealing with a sore knee. While he is getting more playing time, Wilkins isn't doing a lot with it. Once Evans is 100 percent healthy and Joe Johnson returns from his injury, Wilkins might not be around for the Hawks. Fantasy owners should leave him on waivers as it is unlikely that he'll contribute enough to be worth adding.
News: Atlanta signed SG Damien Wilkins, nephew of former Hawks great Dominique Wilkins, on Friday. Wilkins spent last season with the Timberwolves, averaging 5.6 points and 3.1 rebounds in 80 games, including 31 starts.
Analysis: Wilkins was with the Grizzlies this preseason but didn't make the cut. He'll help fill the void of Joe Johnson, who is out 4-6 weeks following elbow surgery, but he likely won't get enough minutes off the bench each night to make a significant Fantasy impact. You can leave him on waivers.
News: The Memphis Grizzlies added four players to their training camp roster on Tuesday, the first day of camp. Luke Jackson, Tre Kelley, Kenny Thomas and Damien Wilkins were each signed to non-guaranteed contracts.
Analysis: Wilkins is not guaranteed a spot on the regular roster, but the veteran does have the possibility of making the roster to provide some leadership and depth on the bench. At 30, he's not exactly on his last legs and could provide some decent backup minutes if he can make the squad. He won't be worth owning in most Fantasy leagues, however.
News: Timberwolves G Damien Wilkins returned to the lineup Saturday against the Heat after sitting out the previous game with an illness. He finished with nine points on 3 of 4 shooting while adding two rebounds and a steal.
Analysis: Wilkins sees minimal minutes and does not show enough consistency to warrant him as a starter in any league. Keep him on waivers at this point.
News: According to the team's official Web site, Timberwolves G Damien Wilkins was able to practice Friday after dealing with an illness. He is expected to play Saturday against the Heat.
Analysis: Wilkins does not see regular minutes for the Timberwolves. That leads to very inconsistent production and makes him a player to avoid in Fantasy.
News: The Timberwolves played Wednesday against the Kings without forward Damien Wilkins, who missed the game because of an upper respiratory illness. The team hopes he can return for Saturday's game against Miami.
Analysis: Wilkins will come in and out of the rotation due to injuries and depending on how well he's playing but is only owned in 2 percent of Fantasy leagues. Clearly, he has low-end Fantasy value and is not going to hurt anyone's Fantasy chances while he's injured.
News: Minnesota SG Damien Wilkins had a big game for his standards on Wednesday night in a loss at Atlanta. Wilkins shot 6 for 8 from the field over 18 minutes and dropped 15 points. He added two rebounds, an assist, a block and a steal. Wilkins also went 2 for 2 from 3-point range.
Analysis: Unfortunately for Wilkins, these big games come few and far between. He scored 18 points against the Thunder two games back but totaled 12 points in the other three games over the last five. He has low-end Fantasy value.
News: Minnesota guard Damien Wilkins played a nice game on Sunday in a win over New York. Wilkins scored 11 points on 3 for 6 shooting with 5 for 5 from the charity stripe. He added seven rebounds, two steals and a block over 28 minutes on the court.
Analysis: Wilkins is averaging just over 21 minutes per night and giving Fantasy owners 4.2 points, 3.4 boards and 1.2 steals over his last five games. That production makes him barely worth using in any Fantasy leagues. Consider the Wolves play only two games in Week 15 (Feb. 1-7) and keep Wilkins benched in all formats.
News: According to the team's official Web site, the Timberwolves are going to shake up their starting lineup for Friday's game against the Clippers. Coach Kurt Rambis will insert Ryan Hollins into the starting power forward spot with Ryan Gomes at small forward. Kevin Love and Damien Wilkins will play off the bench.
Analysis: The Timberwolves are looking for a spark and coach Rambis is hoping that this shake up will lead to some life out of a team that has lost five straight and nine of their last 10. The move may or may not last long, but what is certain is that Love should still see plenty of minutes on the court and will be out there enough to retain his excellent Fantasy appeal. Ryan Gomes could see a boost out of this move, but we don't see this changing too much from a Fantasy standpoint just yet.
News: Minnesota guard Damien Wilkins saw 16 minutes on the court on Wednesday at Cleveland and scored four points. Wilkins got the start in the game as Kevin Love came off the bench. Still, Wilkins saw the fewest amount of minutes of any starter. Wilkins added four rebounds and shot 2 for 5 from the field.
Analysis: Wilkins is averaging just 4.6 points per game over his last five and that comes with 3.0 rebounds, 2.4 assists and under .500 field goal percentage. Until his stats improve widely, Wilkins will only be an afterthought in the deepest of leagues.
News: Minnesota SG Damien Wilkins scored 15 points on Wednesday in a loss to Oklahoma City. Wilkins shot 6 of 8 from the field in 38 minutes as a starter. He grabbed six rebounds and dished out two assists.
Analysis: Wilkins has seen added minutes of late with Kevin Love out. Love should return shortly, pushing Ryan Gomes back to small forward and Wilkins back to the bench. On the bench for much of the year and averaging just 6.3 points and 3.7 rebounds, Wilkins only has low-end Fantasy appeal.
News: According to the official team Web site, Minnesota G Damien Wilkins will remain in the starting lineup Friday night against Indiana.
Analysis: Wilkins has failed to score in double digits in each of his past six games, failing to shoot above 50 percent in four of the six games. Wilkins is a decent all-around player but should only be active in deeper Fantasy formats.
News: Minnesota SG Damien Wilkins had a poor shooting performance on Friday in a loss to the Magic. He mustered only two points in the contest, going 1 for 9 in the field with six rebounds and three assists. He also blocked a shot in the contest.
Analysis: Wilkins has failed to score in double digits in each of his past four games, failing to shoot above 50 percent in all four of those games. Wilkins is a decent all-around player but should only be active in deeper Fantasy formats.
News: Timberwolves SG Damien Wilkins scored 14 points in Wednesday's win over the Nets. He is averaging 13 points over his last four games, which is more than double his season average.
Analysis: Wilkins has just one double-digit point game in his first 15 this season, but he now has seven in his last 14. He's definitely worth a look in deeper leagues right now.
News: Timberwolves SG Damien Wilkins managed a season-high 16 points Friday in a win over the Kings.
Analysis: Wilkins only hit the 16-point mark three times last season and was averaging just 4.7 points this campaign coming into Friday night. Even though he starts and plays decent minutes, Wilkins doesn't supply enough offensive production to make an impact in Fantasy. Leave him on waivers in all but the deepest of leagues.
News: Timberwolves G/F Damien Wilkins, getting an opportunity to start at small forward recently, had eight points, six rebounds and five assists Wednesday against the Clippers. He has scored in double figures only five times this season and is averaging just 6.6 points in December.
Analysis: Even though he starts and plays decent minutes, Wilkins doesn't get enough touches to make an impact in Fantasy. Leave him on waivers in all but the deepest of leagues.
News: Timberwolves SG/SF Damien Wilkins, getting to start the season opener against the Nets, had 10 points, 12 rebounds, four steals and two assists in 26 minutes. He shot 4 for 10 from the field.
Analysis: In the past, Wilkins has offered worthwhile Fantasy numbers when given minutes, and the same held true in the season opener. He's not a long-term solution for the Timberwolves, so he might not get minutes for long, but keep an eye on him while he does.
News: The Minnesota Timberwolves picked up point guard Chucky Atkins from Oklahoma City on Monday in exchange for veteran center Etan Thomas and four second-round draft picks next year. Minnesota also got Oklahoma City guard Damien Wilkins in the deal.
Analysis: Wilkins will be making a belated move to Minnesota nearly four years after nearly joining the Timberwolves. Wilkins signed an offer sheet with the Timberwolves in 2005, but the SuperSonics - who later moved to Oklahoma City and became the Thunder - matched the offer for the restricted free agent and kept him. Wilkins is not expected to play a major role in Minnesota this coming season.
News:Damien Wilkins will be back with the Oklahoma City Thunder for another season. Wilkins' agent, Mark Bartelstein, said in an e-mail Tuesday that the guard would not terminate the player option on his contract.
Analysis: Wilkins averaged a career-low 5.3 points last season as he fell out of the rotation and played in only half of Oklahoma City's 82 games. Before then, he had been a regular in the lineup during the franchise's days in Seattle. He played in every game for the SuperSonics over a two-year span and averaged 9.2 points in 76 games in the team's final season in Seattle. However, the team drafted another swingman this offseason in James Harden and Wilkins stands to see even less of a role this fall.
News: Thunder SF Damien Wilkins got some rare playing time during Monday's game against the Nets. He missed all three shots he took in nine minutes and grabbed two rebounds. It was Wilkins' first appearances in nine games.
Analysis: Wilkins saw some time in the starting lineup earlier this season, but has been taken out of the rotation recently and only got into the game Monday since it was a blowout. Wilkins isn't worth the time of day in Fantasy.
News: Thunder G/F Damien Wilkins got another start at shooting guard Tuesday against the Clippers, but he had zero points, four rebounds and one assist in 12 minutes. He has averaged 6.2 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 13 starts.
Analysis: Clearly, Wilkins is a starter in name alone and doesn't do enough statistically to matter in Fantasy. Leave him on waivers in all but the deepest of leagues.
News: Oklahoma City SF Damien Wilkins continue to get more PT on Wednesday against the Clippers. Wilkins, who played 15 minutes on Monday, played 20 minutes and scored 17 points. It was a season high for the former Georgia Bulldog.
Analysis: Wilkins has played on and off this season. He might get a few more minutes with Desmond Mason sidelined, but not enough to make a significant Fantasy impact. Leave him on waivers in all but the deepest of leagues.
News: Thunder SF Damien Wilkins got more playing time Monday against the Rockets with Desmond Mason out at least 10 days with a sprained elbow. Wilkins finished with five points, one rebound and two assists in 15 minutes off the bench.
Analysis: Wilkins has played on and off this season. He might get a few more minutes with Mason sidelined, but not enough to make a significant Fantasy impact. Leave him on waivers in all but the deepest of leagues.
News: Reports out of Oklahoma City are that head coach P.J. Carlesimo has not decided on a starting lineup for the season opener yet. However, injuries could decide it for him. Power forward Chris Wilcox is dealing with a hamstring injury and is not quite 100 percent yet. Nick Collison is dealing with a hyperextended knee, Earl Watson is dealing with a strained calf and Joe Smith is getting used to playing with a mask after suffering a fractured nose. Ideally, the Thunder would look to start Watson and Kevin Durant in the back court with Jeff Green and Wilcox at forward and Collison at center.
Analysis: The injured players are considered game-time decisions as of Sunday, making them risky starts in Fantasy for Week 1. Durant is a must-start in all formats and Jeff Green has some measure of appeal in larger leagues, though, he's still a wait-and-see player for now. Smith is not a recommended Fantasy option at the moment. Off the bench, Russell Westbrook is far too green to trust yet in Fantasy and Desmond Mason would only be worth activating if an injury forces him into more minutes. Low-end options like Johan Petro, Damien Wilkins and Robert Swift are not recommended.
News: Sonics G/F Damien Wilkins started 31 games during the 2007-08 regular season, but was replaced in the starting lineup by Jeff Green in the second half of the season. He still managed to average career highs in scoring (9.2), rebounds (3.2) and assists (2.0).
Analysis: Wilkins didn't really get replaced due to inefficiency. It was simply that the team needed to go with first-round pick Jeff Green. Unfortunately, this will be the case for Wilkins again in 2008-09. Fantasy owners should draft him as a reserve in the late rounds.
News: Seattle reserve forward Damien Wilkins returned Sunday after missing two games to attend the birth of his son, Jayden Lamont Wilkins. "It's still hard to believe that somebody is going to call me Daddy," Wilkins said in the Seattle Times.
Analysis: Wilkins is a backup for the Sonics and has minimal Fantasy value at this time. He should only be used in deep Fantasy leagues now that he's back.
News: Sonics G/F Damien Wilkins scored 13 points in Wednesday's loss to Washington while playing 25 minutes off the bench. He's scored in double figures in four straight games.
Analysis: Wilkins continues to split time with Jeff Green at small forward and Kevin Durant at shooting guard so he's able to get his minutes despite his role off the bench. He can be useful as a low-end stopgap option in deeper leagues if you're looking for help off the waiver wire.
News: Sonics G Damien Wilkins shot 5-for-7 from the floor in Sunday's loss at Toronto, chipping in 11 points in 24 minutes off the bench.
Analysis: Wilkins split time with Jeff Green once again, but he had the hotter hand on Sunday and he ended up putting up the better line. Starting him in Fantasy has become a crap shoot.
News: Sonics F Jeff Green had 10 points with 3 assists, 3 steals and 2 rebounds in Wednesday's loss at Milwaukee. He now has four double-digit scoring games in his last six contests. He found a way to produce a decent line in a game where Damien Wilkins got hot and scored 17 points off the bench.
Analysis: Wilkins also added 5 rebounds, an assist and a steal while shooting 7-for-13 from the field in just 22 minutes. He's going to find it hard to produce consistently with the team starting Green at small forward. Wilkins just won't get enough playing time to produce in Fantasy on a regular basis and is a player that should be reserved until further notice.
News: In his first game back after spraining his wrist, Damien Wilkins said he still feels pain but will play through it for now. Wilkins missed two games after injuring the wrist when he braced himself for a fall after being fouled hard by Portland's LaMarcus Aldridge. He had an MRI on the wrist, which revealed no breaks, and he'll play with a brace on his wrist for stability. With point guard Earl Watson (flu) and Luke Ridnour (right hamstring strain) probable for Friday night's game against Miami, but probably limited in the amount of minutes they will play, and with Mickael Gelabale as the teams only option at point guard, Wilkins could be used in a pinch to fill-in. Wilkins has played point guard in the past in emergencies.
Analysis: After a hot start, Wilkins has cooled off toward the latter half of the season. He could see a boost with all the injuries in Seattle, but still keep Wilkins reserved until he starts to play better following the injury to his wrist.
News: Sonics SG Damien Wilkins returned to the lineup Wednesday against the Nuggets after missing two games with a wrist injury. He scored eight points, grabbed three rebounds and dished out three assists in 21 minutes.
Analysis: Wilkins got a bit of a Fantasy boost at the trade deadline when the team moved Wally Szczerbiak. That bumped him up to No. 2 at the small forward slot and should create more situations where he can take double-digit shots. He still remains a low-end Fantasy option.
News: Sonics G/F Damien Wilkins missed his second straight game Tuesday at Golden State because of a sprained wrist suffered in Thursday's game at Portland.
Analysis: Wilkins got a bit of a Fantasy boost at the trade deadline when the team moved Wally Szczerbiak. That bumped him up to No. 2 at the small forward slot and should create more situations where he can take double-digit shots. This injury comes at a bad time, but it doesn't sound too serious at this point.
News: Sonics G/F Damien Wilkins missed Sunday's game against the Lakers because of a sprained wrist suffered in Thursday's game at Portland.
News: Sonics G Damien Wilkins had 7 points with 4 rebounds, an assist and a block Thursday at Portland. He shot 3-for-11 from the field in 25 minutes of action.
Analysis: Wilkins got a bit of a Fantasy boost at the trade deadline when the team moved Wally Szczerbiak. That bumped him up to No. 2 at the small forward slot and should create more situations where he can take double-digit shots. He may be worth a flier in deep leagues again.
News: The Cavaliers acquired center Ben Wallace and forward Wally Szczerbiak in a three-way trade involving 11 players that was completed shortly before Thursday's deadline. The Cavaliers sent guard Larry Hughes, forwards Drew Gooden and Cedric Simmons, and guard Shannon Brown to Chicago for Wallace and forward Joe Smith. Cleveland acquired Szczerbiak and guard Delonte West from Seattle for forwards Ira Newble and Donyell Marshall. He also gets Chicago's second-round pick in 2009. In Seattle, the absence of Szczerbiak should create more minutes for Damien WilkinsAnalysis: What does this mean for Wilkins? It means that he'll climb back up the depth chart to back up rookie Jeff Green and it could create a spot for him to start at some point once again down the stretch. Szczerbiak and Green had pushed him all the way down to third option at small forward after he had a great start to the season. He's worth taking a flier on in larger leagues.
News: Sonics G/F Damien Wilkins had 14 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, a steal and a block Wednesday against Utah.
Analysis: Wilkins got off to a hot start this season, but the team is trying to establish Jeff Green as a starter and that has taken away a lot of production chances for Wilkins. The more Green struggles, though, the more Wilkins will get a chance to contribute lines like this.
News: Sonics G Damien Wilkins had eight points, seven rebounds, two assists and a steal in Saturday's win over the Lakers.
Analysis: Wilkins has failed to score in double figures in all but two of his last 15 games, making him a very poor option in Fantasy play. He simply does not do enough in any of the important Fantasy categories because of his current role to matter in Fantasy.
News: Sonics SG Damien Wilkins returned to action Thursday against the Cavs after missing one game with the stomach flu. He scored five points and grabbed three rebounds in 13 minutes off the bench.
Analysis: Wilkins has missed the one game this season and is an important part of the Sonics' rotation, playing 25 minutes per game. However, his scoring has dropped considerably in the last two months and is not a recommended Fantasy option at this time.
News: The Sonics were without G Damien Wilkins on Tuesday against the Spurs. A team spokesman said he had a stomach flu.
Analysis: Keep Wilkins reserved in all leagues for now. Hopefully he can come back healthy, but his Fantasy value has taken a huge slide since the beginning of the season.
News: Sonics G/F Damien Wilkins scored in double figures for the first time in seven games Friday against the Hawks. He finished with 14 points, five rebounds and three assists in 21 minutes.
Analysis: Wilkins likely only found himself playing so much because the Sonics were so far behind. His Fantasy value has fallen off the map since moving out of the starting lineup. Feel free to leave him on waivers in most leagues.
News: Sonics G/F Damien Wilkins had eight points with four rebounds and an assist Friday at Memphis. He logged 28 minutes off the bench.
Analysis: Wilkins had not scored in back-to-back games and he is not in a position to help Fantasy owners at this time. He's playing limited minutes behind rookie Jeff Green.
News: Sonics G/F Damien Wilkins, recently bumped from the starting lineup for rookie Jeff Green, had nothing more than one assist in 11 minutes of play Sunday at Washington. He has now scored two points in his last three games combined.
Analysis: Wilkins has averaged only 11.3 minutes per game over that stretch, a far cry from his 28.1 seasonal mark entering Sunday. After getting off to a hot start as a starter, he clearly no longer has a place in Fantasy. Find a more suitable option on waivers.
News: Sonics G/F Damien Wilkins, averaging only 7.8 points per game in December after a great November came off the bench Saturday against the Timberwolves and scored 12 points -- his most since Dec. 5. He also had three rebounds and three assists.
Analysis: Though Wilkins seemingly responded well to the demotion, he likely only got so many scoring opportunities because Kevin Durant suffered a sprained finger in the first quarter. In reality, Wilkins has become less a scorer and more a role player as Durant's star continues to grow. In Fantasy, you don't want him anymore.
News: Sonics SF Damien Wilkins was held to just two points in Thursday's loss to Boston. He has been held under 10 points in three straight games.
Analysis: Wilkins has only scored in double figures in three out of 12 games in December and is averaging just half the scoring he did in the first month of the season. He's not a very useful Fantasy forward at this stage.
News: Sonics G/F Damien Wilkins is averaging just 7.5 ppg and 2.7 rpg in six December games after averaging 14.0 ppg and 4.4 rpg in November.
Analysis: Wilkins has had just one double figure scoring game in December and Fantasy owners should begin to worry that the month of November will be hard for Wilkins to repeat. The team is turning more toward veteran Wally Szczerbiak and rookie Jeff Green also clouds the situation.
News: Sonics SG/SF Damien Wilkins had two points on 0-for-3 shooting from the field in Sunday's loss vs. San Antonio.
Analysis: This was by far Wilkins' worst performance of the season. He's actually been a pretty reliable Fantasy option, even scoring 41 points in a game earlier this season. He has achieved SF status with 10 starts at the position and should be viewed as a No. 3 or 4 option at either guard of forward in leagues that use multiple positions.
News: Sonics swingman Damien Wilkins started his ninth game at small forward -- out of 12 starts -- in Monday's loss at Memphis. He scored 11 points with six assists and five rebounds. He is one more start at the position away from gaining eligibility there in CBSSports.com leagues that use multiple positions.
Analysis: Wilkins was going back and forth from the two and three spots early on in the season, switching with rookie Jeff Green, but it appears that the team has settled on playing Durant at shooting guard and Wilkins at small forward.
News: Sonics SG Damien Wilkins scored a career-high 41 points in Friday's double-overtime win at Atlanta. He also added nine rebounds and two assists.
Analysis: The two overtimes helped to pad Wilkins' stats as he ended up logging 51 minutes on the court. He shot 15-for-20 and and had his shot falling all night, though. Wilkins has started seven of his 10 games at small forward and is just three starts at the position away from gaining eligibility there. Fantasy owners who haven't caught on to his great start this season are sure to figure things out now that he dropped 41 points on the Hawks, but he's more of a high teens scorer on a regular basis.
News: Sonics G Damien Wilkins had a season-low four points on 2-of-6 shooting Tuesday at Orlando. He also had five rebounds but played only 18 minutes in a blowout 103-76 loss.
Analysis: Wilkins likely would've played more minutes if not for the lopsided score, but the fact remains that his minutes continue to decrease as rookie Jeff Green's increase. After breaking the 20-point mark in two of his team's first three games, Wilkins has yet to do it since, averaging 10.8 ppg in five games over that span. By now, he's settled in as more of a low-end Fantasy starter, even though he'll soon qualify at both guard and forward.
News: Sonics G Damien Wilkins got his fourth start at small forward Sunday vs. Detroit, leaving him six more starts away from adding to his positional eligibility in most CBSSports.com leagues. He scored 13 points with three assists and three rebounds in 30 minutes.
Analysis: Wilkins and Durant have gone back and forth in the lineup, with Wilkins starting three games at SG and four games at SF. The added positional eligibility will enhance his Fantasy appeal, but he does have rookie Jeff Green chomping at his heels. For now, Wilkins remains a safe start in most leagues as a No. 3 or 4 Fantasy guard thanks to his 15.0 ppg, 5.1 rpg, 3.0 apg and 1.0 spg averages to start the season.
News: Sonics SG Damien Wilkins scored 22 points in Sunday's loss at the Clippers, reaching 20 points for the second time in the team's first three games.
Analysis: Wilkins is averaging 18.3 ppg, 7.0 rpg and 4.0 rpg while starting at both the two and the three for the Sonics. He's playing alongside Kevin Durant and is in a position to become a regular Fantasy starter. Wilkins is worth an add in all Fantasy leagues.
News: Damien Wilkins had 21 points and reserve Delonte West chipped in 19 for Seattle in Wednesday's season opener at Denver, with Luke Ridnour sitting out while he gets used to a plastic mask eh's forced to wear after breaking his nose this preseason.
Analysis: Wilkins also added four three-pointers and had eight rebounds and two assists. Wilkins is currently start at shooting guard for the Sonics with Kevin Durant playing the three. It seemed to work on Wednesday and Wilkins is worth an add now before he cements his role.
News: The Tacoma News-Tribune is reporting that the SuperSonics are leaning towards starting Damien Wilkins at small forward at the beginning of the season.
Analysis: Wilkins may get the nod early on -- especially with rookie Jeff Green nursing an ankle sprain -- but we feel that this will be Green's job at some point during the season. It could happen very soon. Still, Wilkins is worthy of use as a low-end guard (he's primarily a shooting guard) and will likely pick up additional eligibility if he can hang on to the job for 10 games. Pick him up in deeper leagues as he'll be seeing regular minutes -- starter or not.
News: Sonics SG Damien Wilkins led Seattle with 27 points in a 126-122 overtime preseason loss to the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night.
Analysis: Wilkins had some decent individual-game performances last year and finished the season averaging 8.8 points per game. Consider taking a flier on him late in Fantasy drafts as a low-end reserve. He appears to have recovered just fine from his recent ankle injury.

Analysis: Wilkins had some decent individual-game performances last year and finished the season averaging 8.8 points per game. Consider taking a flier on him late in Fantasy drafts as a low-end reserve. The ankle injury shouldn't keep him out for long.
News: Sonics forward Damien Wilkins' 25 points Friday against the Lakers was one shy of his career high.
Analysis: He is worth using as a low-end Fantasy option with Ray Allen being out. Hopefully he will continue to play like this as the season comes to a close.
News: Sonics F Damien Wilkins (finger) and F Andre Brown (nose) both returned to the team's lineup Friday against the Grizzlies.
Analysis: It appears safe to get both players back into active Fantasy lineups. When healthy, they are both just low-end options.
News: Damien Wilkins jammed his finger in the second half Wednesday at Denver when he was hacked by J.R. Smith. He had X-rays, which were negative.
Analysis: Wilkins is considered day to day. He is still worth adding in larger Fantasy leagues because he will put up shots with Ray Allen out for the season. He may lose time to rookie Mickael Gelabale, but Wilkins has Fantasy value once again.
News: Seattle swingman Damien Wilkins -- a 42.4 percent shooter this season -- came into Tuesday's game at Minnesota shooting 25.7 percent (9-for-35) in three games since taking over Ray Allen's spot in the starting lineup. He was a quiet 2-for-6 with four points against the Wolves. "Damien has to let the game come to him instead of trying to force himself on the game," coach Bob Hill said. "I've told him that for going on almost two years now. I think with Ray gone he feels the pressure of having to score and sometimes he ends up rushing himself or dribbling into bad positions instead of just taking what is given to him."
Analysis: Wilkins is still worth adding in larger Fantasy leagues because he will put up shots with Allen out. He may lose time to rookie Mickael Gelabale, but Wilkins has Fantasy value once again.
News: Seattle forward Damien Wilkins is starting for Ray Allen. Wilkins had seven points, three rebounds and one assist Sunday against the Spurs.

News: Seattle guard Damien Wilkins, starting for Ray Allen (ankle), picked up his first technical foul of the season Wednesday for arguing an offensive foul call. He finished with 12 points in 39 minutes.
Analysis: Wilkins is worth adding as a low-end Fantasy guard if Allen is out for an extended period of time. Allen may have season-ending surgery, which could help Wilkins' value.
News: Sonics F Damien Wilkins has averaged just 15.3 minutes over his last three games heading into the All-Star break.
Analysis: Now that he is coming off the bench, he is producing the type of numbers expected from a player in that role. He is no longer a viable Fantasy option, outside of the deepest Fantasy leagues.
News: Sonics F Damien Wilkins had 16 points, four assists and three rebounds in 23 minutes off the bench on Friday against the Bucks.
Analysis: Wilkins has seen his Fantasy value drop tremendously this month and with good reason. Friday was the first time in a long time that he had a decent game. Now that he is coming off the bench, he is producing the type of numbers expected from a player in that role. He is no longer a viable Fantasy option, outside of the deepest Fantasy leagues.

Analysis: Wilkins will now share court time with Mickael Gelabale and it will likely cut into his production. Continue to use him as a low-end Fantasy forward and keep an eye on how he plays off the bench. If his production continues to suffer, replace him.
News: The Phoenix Suns will get a drastically different-looking Seattle SuperSonics starting lineup when the Sonics visit the league's most dynamic team on Tuesday. Sonics coach Bob Hill, responding to the Sonics' 10-game road losing streak, changed 60 percent of his starting lineup, inserting rookie Mickael Gelabale, Earl Watson and Nick Collison and removing Luke Ridnour, Damien Wilkins and Danny Fortson. "When you lose (10) in a row (on the road), you got to do something," Hill said. Wilkins had nine points, four rebounds and three assists on Saturday.
Analysis: Wilkins will now share court time with Gelabale and it will likely cut into his production. Continue to use him as a low-end Fantasy forward and keep an eye on how he plays off the bench. If his production suffers, be ready to replace him with another Fantasy option.
News: Sonics F Damien Wilkins made a career-high five three-pointers against Houston on Wednesday and scored 19 points overall.
Analysis: Wilkins has been a great addition in Fantasy leagues with Rashard Lewis out due to injury. Continue to use him as a possible No. 3 or 4 Fantasy forward for the time being.
News: In a starting role Thursday, Damien Wilkins had a career-high-tying 26 points. Coming off the bench the next night, he went for eight.
Analysis: Wilkins, who has played well already in Rashard Lewis' absence, should continue to see a boost in Fantasy value for a while longer. Continue to use him as a low-end No. 4 guard in leagues of 12-plus teams as long as he continues to see regular starts.
News: Rashard Lewis, the Seattle SuperSonics' second-leading scorer, is expected to miss at least two months because of a torn hand tendon. The 6-foot-10 forward was to have surgery on his right hand Friday, the team said. An MRI on Thursday revealed an injury to the tendon sheath on the back of his hand. He caught his hand in the net trying to block Erick Dampier's shot in the opening minutes Wednesday night's game against Dallas. He was taken to the locker room for X-rays, which were negative.
Analysis: Wilkins, who has played well already in Lewis' absence, should continue to see a boost in Fantasy value for a while longer. Continue to use him as a low-end No. 4 guard in leagues of 12-plus teams as long as he continues to see regular starts.
News: All-Star guard Ray Allen will miss at least the next seven games for the Seattle SuperSonics because of a bone bruise in his right ankle. The six-time All-Star selection will be reevaluated in about two weeks. Damien Wilkins is expected to start in his place.
Analysis: Obviously, Wilkins will see a boost in Fantasy value in the near future and is worth adding in larger leagues as a result. He won't fill Allen's shoes -- won't even come close -- but can be a nice stopgap option if you're in need of a replacement.
News: Damien Wilkins, starting in place of Ray Allen (foot), did his best to slow Atlanta's Joe Johnson and added 10 points and eight rebounds Tuesday night.
Analysis: Wilkins likely won't see too many more starts, with Allen expected back soon. Consider him in larger leagues only.
News: Sonics F Damien Wilkins scored just six points in Wednesday's loss at Orlando and he saw just 11 minutes off the bench.
Analysis: Wilkins got off to a quick start off the bench, but his situation isn't one that bodes well for Fantasy production. Unless he starts seeing regular minutes, reserve him.
News: Sonics F Damien Wilkins scored 12 points off the bench Friday at the L.A. Lakers.
Analysis: Wilkens chipped in 14 off the bench in the opener and is off to a nice start. He should still only be considered a reserve option in larger leagues, but should be someone to keep an eye on in the early going.
News: Sonics reserve F Damien Wilkins scored 14 points in 23 minutes off the bench Wednesday vs. Portland. He shot 5-for-11 from the floor and also added four rebounds.
Analysis: Wilkins won't be able to put those kinds of numbers up every night while seeing just over 20 minutes of game action. Consider him no more than a reserve in deep leagues for now.
News: The Los Angeles Lakers rallied for a 104-101 preseason victory over the Seattle SuperSonics on Thursday night. Nick Collison scored 20 points for the Sonics, while Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis each added 15. Los Angeles, which trailed by as many as 12 points in the second quarter, used a 7-0 run to take a 102-95 lead with one minute to play.
Analysis: Collison won't be seeing those types of numbers on a regular basis during the season, but he still warrants a selection in deeper Rotisserie formats in the late rounds. At least we know he can score 20 points when given a chance. As for Allen and Lewis, they are the obvious gems of the bunch and both warrant selections in the early rounds. We like Chris Wilcox as a sleeper in Rotisserie formats for his rebounding and blocks.
News: Damien Wilkins scored 21 points on Friday at Orlando while starting in place of Ray Allen (stomach flu). He shot 9-for-15 from the floor and he added six assists.
Analysis: Wilkins is worth adding in leagues that allow daily transactions. He may start once again for Allen at Miami.

Analysis: He will continue to start while Allen serves his suspension, but Wilkins has minimal Fantasy appeal.
News: According to the Seattle Times, Bob Hill is planning on making some big-time changes to the Sonics rotation. The three-game experiment with Damien Wilkins at point guard is over, and Luke Ridnour will be re-inserted in the starting lineup. Also, Reggie Evans is likely out at power forward and replaced by Vladimir Radmanovic.
Analysis: Ridnour is clearly the better option than Wilkins going onward for fantasy purposes.
News: Damien Wilkins started at small forward for the Sonics on Thursday at Denver. He logged 37 minutes and he scored 12 points with seven rebounds and eight assists.
