Andray Blatche heading to China

(9/20/2014) Free-agent center Andray Blatche has signed a one-year deal with the Xinjiang Guanghui Flying Tigers in China. Blatche's deal with pay him almost $2.5 million, and he'll be able to rejoin an NBA team in March, Yahoo! Sports reports.

(7/1/2014) Productive bench man Andray Blatche has ruled at least one team off his free agency list -- the incumbent Brooklyn Nets.

According to ESPN, when asked if the team had reached out to Blatche, general manager Billy King bluntly responded “no.”

Blatche suffered through an inconsistent role during his time with the Nets, but his per-36 numbers give a good glimpse at what he'd be capable of with more than the 20.5 minutes per game he averaged for two years in Brooklyn. He averaged 18.9 points and 9.2 rebounds per 36 minutes over those two seasons.

Blatche had a productive two years for Brooklyn despite playing in an inconsistent role. He averaged 10.7 points and 5.2 rebounds in 20 minutes per game over that two-year span.

(4/12/2014) Nets center Andray Blatche was cleared to play following a two-game absence due to an illness Friday, but never saw the floor in a 93-88 loss to the Hawks. He took a DNP Coach's Decision in the loss, the ninth game he has missed this season.

Blatche has been a solid option off the bench for the Nets yet again this season, averaging 11.3 points and 5.3 rebounds in 22.2 minutes per game.

(3/19/2014) Nets center Andray Blatche recorded his highest scoring total in nearly three weeks Wednesday, in a 104-99 win over the Bobcats.  

Blatche played 26 minutes off the bench and finished with 13 points on 6 of 10 shooting. He did not add much else to his stat line, finishing with five rebounds and one assist, while adding one steal and turning the ball over once.

Blatche has struggled with consistency recently, scoring in double figures just twice in the last six games. He is still averaging 10.6 points per game in 11 March appearances.

(3/2/2014) Nets forward Andray Blatche registered a double-double on Saturday, scoring 19 points on 5 of 12 from the floor, and 9 of 9 from the free throw line in a 107-98 win over Milwaukee.

Blatche grabbed 13 rebounds, with six of them coming from the offensive end of the glass. He also chipped in with two assists, three steals and one block while logging 30 minutes of game action.

Blatche has five double-doubles this season. He is averaging 11.0 points and 7.0 rebounds over his last five games played.

(2/20/2014) Nets center Andray Blatche snapped out of something of a slump Wednesday against the Jazz, as he posted his best scoring effort since late November in a 105-99 win.

Blatche was a focal point for the offense in his 31 minutes of action as he connected on 11 of 20 field-goal attempts. He scored 25 points on those 20 attempts, and added six rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal.

Blatche had been struggling prior to Wednesday, averaging just 9.0 points and 3.4 rebounds per game in the month of February.

Blatche scored 10 points on 5 of 12 shooting from the field, missing all two of his attempts from downtown. He also added six rebounds, four assists and three steals while logging 19 minutes of game action. He has averaged 12.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.3 assists over his last three games played.
