Kleiza heads overseas after amnesty

(7/25/2013) The Raptors amnestied forward early in the free agency period Linas Kleiza, leaving him free to sign wherever he wished as a free agent. Kleiza opted to head overseas, signing a two-year contract with Fenerbahce Ulker of the Turkish league that will make Kleiza the highest-paid player in Europe. Kleiza played in 20 games last season for the Raptors, averaging 7.4 points per game.

(5/23/2013) TSN.ca reported last week that Raptors forward Linas Kleiza and center Aaron Gray picked up their player options for the 2013-14 season. Kleiza's option will pay him $4.6 million, while Gray will make $2.6 million, in the final years of both of their deals.
