Nate Robinson undergoes surgery to repair torn ACL

(1/31/2014) Nuggets guard Nate Robinson underwent surgery Friday to repair a torn ACL and will miss the remainder of the season, the Denver Post reports.

The injury was initially called a sprained ACL but further evaluation Friday necessitated the surgery. He finishes the season with 10.4 points and 2.5 assists per game with a 42.8 shooting percentage over 44 games played.

(1/31/2014) Word out of Denver is that Nuggets guard Nate Robinson has a torn ACL in his left knee but is going for a second opinion, the New York Daily News reports.

Robinson was diagnosed with a sprained ACL Thursday after suffering the injury Wednesday. Any type of surgery would knock him out for the remainder of the season. Robinson has averaged 10.4 points and 2.5 assists in 44 games played.

(1/30/2014) The Nuggets got some bad news Thursday, as an MRI revealed a sprained ACL in guard Nate Robinson's left knee. The team announced that he'll be reevaluated on Friday to decide how it will be treated. 

Robinson left Wednesday night's matchup with the Bobcats in the first quarter. He's averaged 10.4 points and 2.5 assists in 44 games this season.

(1/24/2014) For the third time in his past four games, Nuggets guard Nate Robinson converted three 3-pointers, as he scored 13 points on 4 of 12 shooting from the field, including 3 of 5 from downtown, and 2 of 2 from the free throw line in his team's 110-105 loss to Portland.

All three of his triples came in the second quarter. Robinson also added one assist while logging 20 minutes off the bench. He has averaged 13.6 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.2 assists over his last five games played.

(1/17/2014) Nuggets guard Nate Robinson shot better than 70 percent from the field for the second straight game (and the second time overall this season) Friday, scoring 19 points on 8 of 11 shooting in his team's 117-109 loss to the Cavaliers.

Robinson has made a stunning 17 of his 23 shots over his last two games, going 3 for 5 from three-point range in each. He also added two assists, one rebound and one steal in 21 minutes Friday. Robinson has averaged 10.5 points and 2.6 assists in 39 games played.

(1/10/2014) Nuggets guard Nate Robinson worked past an ankle injury but endured a rough shooting night in his team's 101-88 victory over the Thunder on Thursday.

Robinson went 3 of 13 shooting from the field, missing all six of his attempts from 3-point land, and his lone attempt from the charity stripe. He finished the game with six points, two assists and one rebound while logging 23 minutes of game action.

Robinson has averaged 10.4 points, 3.8 assists and 2.0 rebounds on 43.2 shooting from the field and 38.9 from beyond the arc over his last five games played.

(1/9/2014) Nuggets guard Nate Robinson was questionable heading into Thursday’s game against Oklahoma City, but coach Brian Shaw answered that question, saying his bench scorer is ‘good to go’ despite an ankle injury, according to The Denver Post.

Robinson has been a solid source of scoring off the Nuggets’ bench, averaging 10.3 points and 1.3 made three pointers in 19.7 minutes per game.

Robinson has been bothered by the injury since Nov. 18 when he took a nasty fall against the Thunder. He remains hopeful of playing Wednesday night against the Cavaliers, according to the report. Robinson had nine points and three assists in 20 minutes of game action in a 111-87 win over the Nets.

Robinson, who had been dealing with a wrist injury, missed his first four shots of the game and was held with one point through three quarters before opening the fourth quarter with back-to-back 3-pointers. He went 3 of 13 shooting from the field, including 2 of 6 from downtown, and 3 of 3 from the free throw line. He finished the game with 11 points, three assists, two rebounds and a steal while logging 24 minutes of game action in a 97-87 victory.

Robinson has scored in double figures in back-to-back games. He is averaging 6.4 points and 2.0 assists on 28.9 percent shooting from the field over his last five games.

Robinson played nine minutes in the game, but stayed on the floor after falling while going for a rebound. He finished the game with 10 points on 3 of 5 shooting, and had X-rays taken on the wrist afterwards, which came back negative.

Robinson will be day to day moving forward, according to the Denver Post.

Robinson signed for the bi-annual salary cap exception worth $4.03 million over two seasons, though he does have a player option for the second season. (5/6/2013) Bulls guard Nate Robinson was able to play through a busted lip during Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals Monday against the Heat. Robinson received 10 stitches in his upper lip after colliding with LeBron James near the end of the first half. However, he started the second half and finished with 27 points in the 93-86 win. He scored 24 of his points in the after halftime and also added nine assists and three rebounds to his stat line, while going 8 of 16 from the field.
