Report: Nuggets' Ty Lawson will be game-time decision Monday

(1:02 pm ET) Nuggets guard Ty Lawson will be a game-time decision for Monday’s game at Charlotte, reports the Denver Post.

Lawson is dealing with a back issue, but he has not missed a game this season. He is averaging 15.2 points and 10.7 assists. If Lawson cannot play, guard Nate Robinson will see an increased role. The Nuggets are 2 ½-point underdogs against the Hornets.


Nuggets PG Nate Robinson scores season-high 20 vs. Clippers

(12/19/2014) Nuggets point guard Nate Robinson scored a season-high 20 points on 6 of 11 shooting, including 4 of 9 shooting from behind the arc, in his team's 109-106 win over the Clippers Friday.

The Nuggets were able to end a three-game losing streak due in large part to Robinson giving the team a big spark off the bench. He saw just 16 minutes of action en route to his 20-point performance, also racking up five rebounds, three assists and one steal. The Nuggets will face off with the Pacers Saturday.

Robinson suited up Saturday but didn't play, and he was expected to need to go through practice before seeing game action. However, it appears he's set to take the court Sunday.

"I'd like to see him get a practice or a good shootaround where he does take some hits before I would throw him back out there," coach Brian Shaw said.

Robinson was in uniform Saturday but didn't see any action, and he isn't expected to play one day later without having been able to practice. The team's next practice in set for Tuesday, meaning it's possible the point guard makes his return to action Wednesday against the Rockets.

Robinson, however, said he's feeling better and will suit up in case coach Brian Shaw needs him as an emergency option off the bench. Robinson has missed three consecutive games with a back injury.

Denver will face San Antonio on Sunday.

(12/7/2014) Nuggets power forward Kenneth Faried and guard Nate Robinson are both out for Sunday's game against the Hawks due to back injuries.

Faried is dealing with a lower back strain but hadn't shown signs of the injury before today. "He practiced yesterday and he was fine yesterday," coach Brian Shaw told the Denver Post. "He said he didn't even remember what he did to it."

Robinson took a knee to the back Friday, calling it "the hardest knee I ever took in my life," per the Post. The pair has a quick turnaround if they want to play in the team's next game, as the Nuggets have a matchup with the Raptors on tap for Monday.

(12/6/2014) Nuggets guard Nate Robinson was forced out of Friday's loss to the Wizards with a back injury. Robinson took a knee to the back by Washington's Rasual Butler, which forced him to exit with 8:41 remaining in the game.

"I've never had anything like this," Robinson said, per the Denver Post. "That's the hardest knee I ever took in my life."

Robinson has appeared in 19 games and is averaging 5.5 points, 1.8 assists and 1.1 rebounds in 13.1 minutes per game this season. His next opportunity to play will come Sunday in Atlanta.

(11/17/2014) Nuggets forward Danilo Gallinari and guard Nate Robinson will both sit out Monday's game against the Cavaliers, according to the Denver Post. Both players are coming off knee surgeries and have not been cleared to play the back end of back-to-back games.

Gallinari is averaging 6.9 points and 2.8 rebounds in 17.8 minutes through nine appearances. Robinson is averaging 6.0 points and 1.7 assists in 14.2 minutes through nine appearances. Both players will likely return Wednesday against Oklahoma City.

(11/12/2014) After receiving medical clearance to play full games, the Nuggets have removed all minute restrictions on guard Nate Robinson and forward Danilo Gallinari, reports the Denver Post.

While Gallinari (knee) and Robinson (knee) have been receiving playing time, Gallinari has yet to play more than 20 minutes in any game during the 2014-15 season, while Robinson played a season-high 26 minutes in Friday’s 116-100 loss to Portland.

Robinson has been ramping up his workload while working his way back from a knee injury suffered before the season, and he managed to play 26 minutes Friday while scoring a season-high 14 points and dishing out five assists. He should be able to handle his normal workload Sunday.

(11/2/2014) Nuggets coach Brian Shaw told reporters that the time restrictions of Danilo Gallinari (knee), JaVale McGee (leg) and Nate Robinson (knee) -- all whom have had surgeries -- will remain intact for now, according to the Denver Post.

"That hasn't changed," Shaw said. "We'll just play it by ear as it goes."

Gallinari played 18 minutes on opening night, followed by 20 against the Thunder on Saturday. McGee also played 20 minutes Saturday, after logging only nine on Wednesday. Robinson has combined for 19 minutes through the first two games.

(10/6/2014) The Nuggets enter training camp with a number of players working their way back from injuries, and will be shorthanded for the start of preseason action.

The Denver Post reports the Nuggets will sit Danilo Gallinari (knee), JaVale McGee (leg), Nate Robinson (knee) and JJ Hickson (knee) for Monday's preseason opener against the Lakers. The players are all in various stages of their recoveries, with Galinari and McGee likely to be ready for the start of the season, while Hickson is targeting a January return. It is not clear whether Robinson will be ready by the start of the regular season.

(9/30/2014) Nate Robinson told the Denver Post on Monday that he would like to finish out his career with the Nuggets. Robinson, who suffered a torn ACL in January, is entering the final year of his two-year, $4.1 million contract. He averaged 10.4 points, 2.5 assists and 1.8 rebounds over 44 games before the injury last season.

"I'm too old to be moving around too much more," Robinson said. "I don't know if I have too many more years doing that. For me, I would love to stay here. I've taken a liking to Denver, it's been fun. The city is great, the fans are great and this team is awesome. I would love to be here if they would love to have me."

The injury was initially called a sprained ACL but further evaluation Friday necessitated the surgery. He finishes the season with 10.4 points and 2.5 assists per game with a 42.8 shooting percentage over 44 games played.

(1/31/2014) Word out of Denver is that Nuggets guard Nate Robinson has a torn ACL in his left knee but is going for a second opinion, the New York Daily News reports.

Robinson was diagnosed with a sprained ACL Thursday after suffering the injury Wednesday. Any type of surgery would knock him out for the remainder of the season. Robinson has averaged 10.4 points and 2.5 assists in 44 games played.

Robinson has made a stunning 17 of his 23 shots over his last two games, going 3 for 5 from three-point range in each. He also added two assists, one rebound and one steal in 21 minutes Friday. Robinson has averaged 10.5 points and 2.6 assists in 39 games played.
