(1/28/2015) Knicks small forward Carmelo Anthony and point guard Jose Calderon are in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Thunder, the team announced. Both players had been listed as questionable to play.

Anthony was given Saturday's game off to rest after playing four straight games since his return from a knee injury. Calderon also missed Saturday's game due to a left knee contusion.

The Knicks are 10-point home underdogs against the Thunder Wednesday.

(1/25/2015) After missing Saturday’s loss to the Hornets, Knicks coach Derek Fisher said he is unsure if guard Jose Calderon will be available to play in Monday’s game against the Kings, reports the New York Post.

Calderon injured his knee during Friday’s game and was forced to leave the game. In 31 games, he is averaging 9.2 points and 4.4 assists.

(1/24/2015) The Knicks announced forward Carmelo Anthony is listed as questionable for Saturday’s game at Charlotte. Anthony has played in four consecutive games after returning from a knee issue.

Meanwhile, forward Amar'e Stoudemire is available to play, but is also dealing with knee issues. Center Andrea Bargnani (strained right calf) and guard Jose Calderon (contused left knee) are out. Calderon was to forced to leave Friday’s game after injuring his knee. Guard Pablo Prigioni could see his role increase while Calderon is sidelined.

(1/23/2015) Knicks guard Jose Calderon was forced to leave Friday's game after bumping knees with Magic guard Elfrid Payton. Calderon tried to put weight on his leg as he was helped to the locker room, but was unable to do so. Calderon will not return after suffering a contusion on his knee, the team announced.

He leaves the game with four points, seven assists and four rebounds for New York.

(1/12/2015) The Knicks are actively trying to trade guard Jose Calderon and center Andrea Bargnani, league sources told ESPN. However, trying to deal forward Amar'e Stoudemire is not part of the team's current plans.

The Knicks recently traded J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert to Cleveland and waived Samuel Dalembert as part of a roster shakeup following a 5-35 start. CBSSports.com NBA Insider Ken Berger wrote last week Calderon could be the next Knicks' player on the move.

Sources told ESPN that Bargnani is a candidate to be waived in February, if New York can't trade the former No. 1 overall pick, who has an expiring contract. Calderon has two years and $15.1 million left on his contract after this season.

(1/6/2015) Sources informed CBSSports.com Basketball Insider Ken Berger Knicks guard Jose Calderon could be the next player traded.

However, with Calderon, 33, due more than $15 million over the next two seasons, teams could be looking elsewhere for point guard help.

Despite playing for the last place Knicks, Calderon’s agent informed USA Today Calderon will not push for a trade. In 24 games, Calderon is averaging 9.4 points and 4.3 assists.

Calderon shot 7-13 from the field, including 7-9 from beyond the arc. Calderon was also active on the boards, pulling down 10 rebounds. He also dished out four assists.

The Knicks are expected to make a decision about the duo's status following Friday's practice, which will feature a full scrimmage.

"Not that I can say expect to [have them back Saturday], we’re just focused on (Minnesota)," coach Derek Fisher said before Wednesday's game. "We have a couple of days to get some work in practice in and see from there. I’ll worry about who may or may not play Saturday after [Wednesday]."

(6/25/2014) The other half of a trade that would send Tyson Chandler and Raymond Felton to Dallas includes guards Jose CalderonWayne Ellington and Shane Larkin as well as center Samuel Dalembert going to the Knicks, ESPN reports.

With the Knicks looking to rebuild, Larkin is an asset that a cash-strapped and mostly draft pick-less New York team would value highly. Calderon reinvented himself as a spot-up shooter for the Mavericks last season, finishing the year with a career-best 191 made three pointers. Dalembert only managed to give the Mavericks 6.6 points in 20 minutes per game last season. Ellington couldn't crack the Dallas rotation to log meaningful stats. 


Jose Calderon suffers broken nose in Game 6

(5/3/2014) Mavericks guard Jose Calderon suffered a broken nose in the second half of Game 6 on Friday against the Spurs.

Calderon sustained the injury while trying to defend a drive to the basket from Tony Parker. He made a brief exit and returned to the game with 4:22 remaining in the third quarter. He scored 12 points on 5 of 9 from the floor, and 2 of 3 from 3-point range. He also chipped in with six assists, five rebounds and one steal in 32 minutes.

In his first postseason since 2007-08, Calderon is averaging 11.3 points and 4.5 assists in six games. It remains uncertain if he'll need a protective mask for Game 7.

"I hope I'm better in Game 7," Calderon said, per ESPN Dallas. "I think we were trying to stop the bleeding, so there was a lot of stuff up my nose. I think it was that more than anything else with the breathing."
