News: The Timberwolves waived guard Will Conroy Thursday, in order to make room for the signing of Josh Howard. Conroy appeared in just four games for the Timberwolves.
Analysis: Conroy has played in just 16 games over three seasons, and it does not seem like he has any future in the league. At 29, this may have been Conroys final chance. He has no Fantasy value in any formats.
News: According to MyFox news in Houston, Kyle Lowry (knee) may need "at least two weeks" before he is ready to return. He has been ruled out through the All-Star break. Will Conroy will return to the NBDL to create a spot for guard Garrett Temple.
Analysis: Lowry has to be reserved in all Fantasy leagues until further notice. He usually sees only about 20 minutes per game and his Fantasy appeal remains capped as a result. He is at best a stopgap guard option for deeper leagues for now. Conroy has no Fantasy appeal.
News: The Rockets assigned G Jermaine Taylor to their NBDL affiliate in Rio Grande. Taylor averaged just 5.5 minuets per game in 13 appearances this season. Will Conroy has been added to the team's NBA roster.
Analysis: Taylor was not getting many minutes at the NBA level and was in need of some playing time. Frankly, we don't see him getting many points at any point this season and he remains a player to avoid in all Fantasy formats. Conroy will not be worth owning in Fantasy leagues.
News: Clippers G Will Conroy appeared in just seven games during the 2006-07 regular season.
Analysis: Conroy has no Fantasy value at this time and will find it tough to make an NBA team out of training camp this fall.
News: The Clippers waived rookie point guard Will Conroy when Jason Hart was signed Monday. Conroy did nothing except impress during his brief six-day, two-game stint. Conroy had eight assists and only two turnovers and showed that he is an NBA-caliber guard.
Analysis: Conroy has no Fantasy value at this time.
News: Rookie Will Conroy still has not had a full-fledged practice but he has played in two games since signing a 10-day contract. Conroy has taken the pass-first, shoot-second, point guard doctrine to heart. In nearly 17 minutes Saturday, he took no shots but had a game-high six assists.
Analysis: For someone who does not have full knowledge of the play schemes, Conroy has done a very credible job. Consider him only in the deepest of Rotisserie leagues at this time, though, as a very cheap source for assists.
News: The Clippers dipped into the NBA's developmental league to sign guard Will Conroy to a 10-day contract. Conroy, who was playing for Tulsa, was leading the league in assists at 10.8 per game.
Analysis: Conroy might get playing time with Shaun Livingston (knee) done for the year. Keep an eye on his status, but for now he has limited Fantasy value.
News: Guard Lorinza Harrington signed a 10-day contract with the Memphis Grizzlies, who released him before the start of this season. He replaces Will Conroy, whose 10-day contract expired Thursday. Harrington played six exhibitions with the Grizzlies this season before being waived Oct. 26.
Analysis: Conroy should obviously not be owned in Fantasy leagues at this time.
News: Rookie guard Will Conroy from the University of Washington, who signed a 10-day contract on Wednesday, has a goal to get a second 10-day contract. That would mean he'd get a chance to return home to Seattle when the Griz play the Sonics.
Analysis: In the meantime, he's trying to make an impression by blending with his teammates as a pass-first, shoot-second point guard. It's a philosophy that served him well playing for Tulsa of the NBDL and one reason why Griz interim coach Tony Barone signed him after the team released Eddie Jones. Don't worry about adding him to Fantasy leagues just yet.
News: After signing a 10-day contract on Tuesday, rookie guard Will Conroy was scoreless on Wednesday in his brief time on the floor.
Analysis: Conroy joined the Grizzlies from the NBA D-League, where he was averaging 15.8 points, 5.4 rebounds and a league-high 10.3 assists in 26 games with the Tulsa 66ers this season. The 6-2, 195-pound guard becomes the eighth call-up this season, and the second from the D-League in Grizzlies' history. There is no need to add Conroy in any Fantasy format. His stay with the Grizz could be short-lived.
News: G Will Conroy, the rookie out of the University of Washington signed by the Grizzlies to a 10-day contract earlier this week, played two scoreless minutes in his first game for Memphis Wednesday against the Mavs.
Analysis: There is no need to add Conroy in any Fantasy format. His stay with the Grizz could be short-lived.
News: The Bobcats signed guards Will Conroy, Joe Shipp and Donta Smith to non-guaranteed contracts recently.
Analysis: None of these players are worth owning in Fantasy play at this point.
