(3/1/2012) After spending two 10-day contracts with the team, the Hawks have signed center Erick Dampier to a contract for the remainder of the season. Dampier has played in just six games for the Hawks this season, as the team continues to bide its time until Al Horford is able to return.

Dampier has been inactive for the entire postseason, and having not played since April 6, Dampier insists he is not injured and in shape to contribute. He also stresses he is not looking to make waves. "There's nothing wrong," he said of his health and conditioning. "We just made a decision to go with the smaller lineup. I've been going through practices, going through plays, so if I was called upon to play, it wouldn't be a problem."

(4/3/2011) Heat center Erick Dampier had his best game of the season in Sunday's win over the Nets, who played without Kris Humphries. He not only recorded his first double-double of the season, but he set season-highs in points and rebounds in the process. Dampier shot 3 of 6 from the floor and made 4 of 6 shots from the line on the way to 10 points. He was even better on the glass, hauling in 14 rebounds on the night, his most since December 2009. Dampier added a pair of blocks while seeing 28 minutes of playing time.

(3/5/2011) Heat center Erick Dampier was ejected in Friday's 125-95 loss to the Spurs. Dampier was hit with a Flagrant-2 foul after committing a hard foul on Tony Parker. Parker knocked to the ground by the veteran center on a drive to the basket. Dampier finished with no points and two rebounds prior to being tossed.
